The individual wait service at the table was good, the rest of the staff was not attentive, having to wait to be seated while they chatted in the kitchen and waited to cash out because they were training someone. The food...I typically enjoy the yogurt granola fruit bowl but this was by far the worst example of one. The fruit was not seasonal, less granola and yogurt in previous bowls at other locations. They were out of muffins, if I had known that at ordering I might have chosen another dish. I don't think this First Watch is up to the same level as others. Also, they need to empower their cashiers to reduce the bill when a complaint is made. I was asked if everything was okay, when I raised my issues she smiled, apologized and still charged full price for our bowls. read more

The food was excellent - the check in process was absolutely abysmal. We checked in, provided our phone number and we're told no more than five minutes. There were at least four empty tables that could have seated us. 15 minutes later still empty tables and no seating. When we were finally seated we received a dirty table with used items not removed and not sanitized properly. Salt and pepper shakers were definitely not sanitized as they were sticky and gross. I don't think it's admirable or respectable for a restaurant to solicit 5 star reviews when they aren't giving 5 star service. 5 star reviews should only be given when they are earned and well deserved. Huge red flag for a restaurant! We did not have a 5 star experience so we opted out of the discount. We joined the waitlist half an hour before arrival (we were given a 45-60 min wait on the app) We checked in and were told it would be 25 minute wait which was right on par with the website so we didn't think anything of it. We ended up waiting over an hour before we were seated. We were never given menus or silverware until someone showed up 10-15 minutes after we were seated for our drink order. Anybody who has ever worked in the service industry knows the 3-5 minute rule after seating to give out waters and take drink orders. We were given coffee. Which we assumed was complimentary or would be comp'd given the long wait. Wrong. We were all charged. Coffee was also very watered down. I don't recommend it. The food all came out warm and around the same time so added a star for that! However, several orders were wrong and the toast on the breakfast sandwich was BLACK. Completely burnt. Someone in the kitchen really looked at that toast and said "this is satisfactory". Interesting. My meal was good so adding another star for that. Overall our experience was a 3/5 star at best. I encourage this restaurant to allow its customers to leave unbiased and honest reviews so they can learn from them and grow to be a better restaurant where they will receive earned 5 star reviews. We tried the fall menu. I absolutely love the hash. At first, the honey was a little strange, but I gradually realized how brilliant it was. My only gripe is that the potatoes, which were incredibly well done, crispy and soft, just the way I like them, were way too salty. When they're that perfect, you don't really even need any salt. Oh, and the grits, which the server had never tried, and therefore could give us no information about, was delicious. Probably some of the best grits I have ever had as a side dish. I'm not sure I like paying at the counter ... but I know a lot of places do that. read more

I've been here a few times now. First time going bigger and trying a different meal. It was average. I can't say it will be something I order again at my next visit. I would prefer to have avocado on top and some jalapeño added, but it wasn't an option. My potatoes was a bit over cooked for my liking, but the server brought me another side dish of it that was much improved. Kids won't touch the potatoes when they are hard, crispy and dark. We also ordered the kids chocolate chip pancake with bacon. The chips are blended in the pancake so it doesn't appear brown. But it was delicious. I like that the chocolate chip wasn't overpowering. Also ordered the Kale tonic. It wasn't that great this time. Seemed to have too much apple or lemon juice because I could hardly taste the kale. And the color of the drink was more light green/yellowish versus darker green like I had it on a previous visit. I guess it depends on who makes it at the time. I had high hopes for this place but it disappointed me. I liked the call ahead feature. We shopped around until it was out time to be seated. We were seated and sat for awhile and noticed two tables that came in after us had their drinks. Our drinks pretty much came out with our food. I got the eggs Benedict which was Luke warm. The side potatoes were undercooked and hard. The two tables that came in after us were long gone by the time we got our check which was the check of a different table. We had to hunt down the manager to get the right check. Total of our bill was 64 and for that amount, the service and quality of food should have been much better. read more

We usually love First Watch but today was a HUGE departure from our normal FW experience. Waited 33 min to be seated on an expected 15-20 min wait. Food took 30 min and was sub par at best. Churros were heavy and greasy. Scrambled eggs came out ice cold with tomatoes mixed in. What?!! Toast was not toasted and cold as if right out of a fridge. Potatoes were not cooked and were cold. We considered ourselves lucky to get our food in 30 min, as those around us were still waiting when we left and they had been seated before us. The poor waitresses were visibly stressed and having to repeatedly apologize to parties. It was clear that there was a large volume of door dash food leaving the kitchen and perhaps those orders were being prioritized. At some point management needs to step in and help triage and prioritize. Overall breakfast was a very stressful experience and we left hungry. read more
