Power quinoa bowl chicken basil pesto
Jean K.

Great outdoor dining though there are only a handful of tables. I would love it of they were able to expand their outdoor seating. FW serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I like the power bowl options with quinoa. I ordered the quinoa bowl, minus tomatoes, with basil pesto, chicken, feta, delicious all around. Hubs had the biscuits and gravy which he said was delicious.

Great brunch spot. Love the food. The service is good. They usually have nice seasonal items and good juices. Coffee is okay. Overall worth going with friends. They have outdoor seating which is nice. The biggest issue is how loud it is. It is a very popular place for good reason but you can't really hear the people you are with. They have good lunch items. The club is great. There tomato soup is very good. Breakfast is great too. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. The eggs Benedict and hash is very good. The juices are good but a little pricey.

We've been to this first watch a few times. Each time the food is magnificent and the service is great. For our experience today we had Summer as our server and she was so professional and polite. If you haven't tried the chorizo and green chili omelette, I highly suggest, it was amazing! The interior vibe is chill and there's plenty of parking outside.

Going to try this poutine!

Second and now third time around and I can honestly say that I like them. Servers absolutely makes a huge impact and difference in an establishment. Our first time was in August for one of my daughter's birthday. Our server made her feel very special and I love the fact that when they over cooked my poached egg, they made me a new one without me asking. Kudos to the cook who knew what they were cooking and how it's cooked. On our second time, brought another child and she got a full kid's waffle and she loved it. Our server was a nice gentleman and very attentive. I got the poutine since I kind of miss it being from Quebec. I wanted to see how they fair. But alas, it was missing sauce and lack of cheese. I like my poutine with loads of cheese and gravy. It was good though and more on the healthy side. It was a good healthy alternative. Now, our third time. We are so lucky to have our second server and even though it has been a long time, he still recognized us! How cool is that! Got the Baconado this time and I love the salad. It's lightly dressed and fresh. Their Belgian waffles are very fluffy and buttery. The only thing that might needs tweaking is in the fruit bowl. The pineapple core is too hard and should be cut off. Overall, our experience at this establishment has been spot on! Continue with being awesome and you'll not lose any customers.

First watch is a staple for the wife and I at this point. We come here every single Sunday after our morning walk, and the experience is always delicious and satisfying! Now I'm not sure how many people utilize this, but First Watch does have an online wait list, which you can sign up for prior to arriving. It's a phenomenal system that can help save you time. We usually like to sign up for the wait list as we're leaving our walk, and it takes about 15 minutes for us to drive to First Watch, and once we're signed in, we practically never wait longer than 5 additional minutes. The food is always tasty! Look, I won't claim it's the best breakfast you'll ever have, but it comes out quick, always tastes good, the service is efficient and speedy and the overall vibe of the place is enjoyable. To me, that's perfection. I've probably tried half their menu at this point, but my typical go-to meal is the trifecta, which is a combo of eggs, your choice of pancake or waffle and your choice of bacon or sausage. *chefs kiss* Come on by and you won't be disappointed!

This is what my avocado looked like in my omelette.

My server was great and the food was good except for the avocado in my omelette. Also, you guys should include Splenda as a sweetener option. :)

Omelet, potatoes, and toast

Great food! I ordered the deluxe breakfast and everything tasted great. The potatoes were a little undercooked but had great flavor. I loved the branding on everything from the bag to the syrup containers, bag, and platters, etc. I also loved the condiments that were all natural (jelly, ketchup, etc). It was a very pleasant meal.

This is a cute little Crepe restaurant! Honestly the prices will surprise you and that is…read moredefinitely the biggest negative because everything is expensive. I was hesitant ordering the crepe because of that but luckily the crepe ended up being massive. That definitely made up for the price. The savory egg sausage crepe was by far my favorite. My wife very much liked the sweet chocolate crepe. Other than the Crepes I was disappointed with how much the sides and coffee cost for what we got. Also the staff seemed very rushed and aggressive for a tip. That is the main thing stopping this from a five star. If I were to go back it would definitely be for the Crepe!

Okay this is my new favorite crepe place. Plus it's a locally owned restaurant! The crepes are incredible and make quickly. Perfect texture and flavor. The ingredients are cooked appropriately and the crepes are large. Plus they are presented well and are gluten-free. I chose the Le Champignon crepe with English breakfast tea my first visit and the same crepe with Earl Grey Tea my second visit. It's so good I haven't been able to choose a different crepe haha. Even the tea was presented well and steeped perfectly. So many places are serving hot tea in disposable cups even when dining in. It was such a joy and relief to enjoy the tea in a nice cup and saucer with the pot close by. The cafe is empty around 8 am and picks up around 8:30 am. They play low jazz or pop music and have ample tables that seat 2 or 4 customers. The wi-fi information is posted near the condiments, water dispenser, and trash. It took about 10 minutes for an employee to realize I was there. She was friendly and efficient. I believe she is the only one working (during both visits) so some indication that customers are ready to order would be useful to save time. She interacts well with customers and takes orders and makes the food. Overall, I had a great visit and recommend this cafe to others!

Food, service, and ambience are all 10/10!…read more I did a shared plate afternoon adventure with my friend. We got the scones (I would recommend the honey and chive butter, she preferred the sweet cinnamon sugar). We also split the French onion Mac and cheese. I love that they use cavatappi (sp? - corkscrews) so the sauce is in and around every noodle. The crisp onions on top provided a perfect crunch! We also split the crab and avocado sandwich with house salad. The house salad dressing was amazing as was the crab and avocado. It was so good I asked for a catering menu for my next event. Thankfully, our amazing service was Gabi, who manages all the catering. Such a great experience on a lovely afternoon.

The décor is absolutely stunning, and the service was excellent. We visited during Christmastime and truly loved the festive decorations. Our drinks were perfect and well-crafted. For dinner, we shared the chowder, which unfortunately was underwhelming--the croutons were the best part. We then ordered the chicken, salmon, and mashed potatoes. The salmon was dry, the chicken was on the bone with very little meat, and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly disappointing. I even took them home hoping I could improve them myself. I will likely return to the Tea Room because I enjoy supporting local businesses and genuinely like their drinks and small bites, but I would not come back for dinner.

Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.
