As I was sitting at the bar, I had a front row seat. Keep the drama in the kitchen. First time, I had the Asian pork belly breakfast bowl. The sunny side up eggs were perfect. The flavor was good, but aside from the eggs, everything was cold and chewy. I was very curtly told I should take my bill to the front to pay. Second time I was in: my jar of water had some sort of nastiness in it. The coffee carafe was also filthy. I had to ask three different people to finally get a clean water jar. One of the waitresses was constantly leaning on the counter to check her phone. I ordered the chickencanga. It sounded promising. It lied. The egg was rubbery and cold and yet, horribly overcooked. The filling (chicken, avacado, peppers, chorizo) were all cold. The tortilla was cold and chewy. The diced tomatoes were watery and without flavor, and by the texture had been diced some time ago. I believe that 90% of their food has been pre-made, wether its bought that way or made here hours (or longer) before service begins remains to be seen. This is the first time I've had the motivation to write a Yelp review (sorry First Watch, in advance), so bare with me: I rarely stray off the regular menu to try the "special/new" items restaurants have, mostly because I hate to waste money on something that no one has reviewed on Yelp. Today, however, I felt adventurous and decided to try the Mediterranean "baked" egg (it looked really good on the flyer they had at the entrance), and do everyone the favor of warning them from ordering this sad dish (youre welcome). In short, the item didn't look (which I expected; food rarely looks as it does in advertisements) nor taste anything like I expected, in a bad way. We had an enjoyable Sunday brunch here. They are typically crowded so it's nice to be able to check into the wait list on Yelp and track how many tables are ahead of you. I really like this feature. Food was very good. We loved the egg sandwich that came with arugula, Gruyere cheese, and avocado. The multigrain blueberry pancakes were flavorful and had a nice crisp to them. The kids enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes. My only complaint would be about the potatoes that came with the sandwich. They were large cut cubes of simple boiled potato, and lacked any real flavor or seasoning. We barely touched them, even though we typically love potatoes. Next time I'll ask for a substitute. Been here a few times now, and always great food and good service. The only drawback I find really is the table that you are dining on. It is super sticky. I believe the table is made of wood or some wood composite, but they have added a waxy layer to the top that is so sticky it leaves one thinking the table is not clean at all. The waxy buildup has now started to bubble on some tables as they are probably a few years old. Why not sand these tables down and seal them in something smooth and non-porous? read more

This is a wonderful breakfast place. A very casual atmosphere but I'm very happy with their wide menu selection that can satisfy my husband who likes biscuits and gravy and myself who likes the more health-conscious choices. Their kale tonic juice is delicious regardless of your stance on kale. My husband and I switched because he preferred my kale tonic juice over his morning meditation juice pick. I always get the quinoa power bowl with Italian sausage, kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, and eggs cooked over easy. I am announcing that today I ate the best pancake ever!!!! It was a granola banana pancake. Omg yum!!! It's like eating warm banana bread with chunks of banana in it and just a touch of granola. I was thinking the granola would make it too crunchy, but not the case! They give a cute warmed syrup for the side. It's perfection!!! My husband had the chickachanga and loved it!! I think it was eggs wrapped up like a burrito, chicken with a special sauce that he's never had before...sour cream mixed with pico! I wanted to start with the basics so I had the scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes. All very yummy. They gave you a lot of bacon. I had enough potatoes to take some to go. Oh wait, the big surpriser was the Kale Tonic drink!!! My husband loved it. He secretly wants to know if they will sell it to him in gallon form!!! I tried it, it's not for me!!! My son and I met here for breakfast on a cool, cloudy Friday morning in early May. We meet weekly in various places for breakfast ... a nice way to get the workday started. We are always on the make for nice breakfast places! So we gave First Watch on Medlock Bridge a try. I am glad we did. The first thing that struck me was how much natural light there was inside. The walls are almost taken over by tall, wide windows. The décor is rather corporate but not totally devoid of personality. Tables, chairs, the floor, the walls, everything has a sort of woodie, "relax here" quality to it. Everything was in various shades of brown. I think the wait staffs' uniforms were a mixture of black and blue. I enjoyed spending time here. We were taken care of by Anishka. She was attentive to our needs, she knew the menu, and she politely answered our questions. She knew when the coffee and water glasses were low and she asked us if we needed more (I like it when the staff asks, rather than waiting to be asked). Our food was very good... I had the Frittata Rustica, sort of an omlette affair that contained cheeses and some veggies (delicious fresh tomato stood out) and certain spices. The plate it came on fascinated me: it was a large oval, of an eggshell or off-white color, and it was decorated with lots of brown or black specks of various sizes. I really liked that plate. The coffee was a little strong for my taste; it reminded of the coffee I had in Rome a few years ago. Service could have been a little faster, but the staffing problems that are haunting restaurants these days were in evidence here as well. We've given this place many fair chances to redeem themselves and it just continues to be on a downward spiral, especially after 2018. Out of hunger and desperation, we tried it out again after a long hiatus. First, our waitress never made eye contact with us. She asked questions with her eyes wandering around and pretty much looked outside the window as if she was distracted. Her vibe felt completely annoyed that were even there. I told her quietly that the ladies bathroom was filthy. She just said, "ok." One stall had brown dry stains on toilet seat and all over the toilet. There was a pink film on the bathroom sink. It was obvious that no one cleaned it, probably in weeks/months. The dining floor was filthy beyond belief. It looked like dirt was swept under the booths. My daughter dropped her crayon so I bent down to get it and noticed how dirty it was. Secondly, (we are very familiar with the menu) the quinoa bowl was overly salty and the tomato basil soup was completely watered down. We asked the waitress to have these dishes replaced. Her comment was "if you don't tell me, then how can I fix it?" My response was, "um, that's why I'm letting you know right now." She just kept on saying,"well if you don't let me know, how can I fix it?" Completely, unprofessional and just down right had an ugly attitude. Her overall persona was lazy, unhappy and annoyed. While I understand that people can have a bad day or going through something personal, it's not okay to take it out on your customers. When we checked out, the cashier asked me if everything was ok. I told him the honest truth about our experience and he was apologetic. I'm not the kind of person who complains or was looking for for free meal or even a discount. I just had to let him know this place went down in quality in food and service. We were regulars for many years but once it was renovated and replaced with new employees and management, it went from 5 stars to zero stars. Customer service is lost in this place. Saturday morning and obviously, we expect a little wait during brunch time. However, you can't just walk in and place your name on a list. We were treated like data. They have an online system of reservations that doesn't even work. They wanted our phone number and we said no. We said place us on the list. They said we'll text you when your table is ready. We still said no and asked to be put on the list. Instead of walking around your hostess desk and using your voice and having personal contact with your customer, you want our data. We said we did not want to give our phone number. Cold you hire people that actually treated people like they actually existed as human beings and not a number?! Was it our fault you can't manage your list of people waiting? Great location, easy to find parking. The food here is delicious! There's plenty of options to choose from and many of the items are healthy, organic, and/or vegan. The only reason why this isn't full stars is because our table was still a little dirty when we were sat down. I understand it's busy, but I wish they had taken just a few more seconds to finish cleaning all the crumbs off the table and seats or sweeping dropped napkins and food on the ground. It wasn't a huge deal but a crumby, wet table isn't fun to sit at when you're trying to eat and we weren't able to get extra napkins to clean it off either. Keep you receipts! My family has been coming to First Watch of Johns Creek for the past 5 years. Great food and service at least 20 out of 21 times. So it pains me to write this review with some negativity. I decided to have breakfast on a random weekday and ate at First Watch. Had the Healthy Turkey Egg White Omelette and a cup of Coffee. Food was great, hostess was friendly, overall meal was good. Paid for my meal and left. An hour later I saw my AMEX pop up with a charge over $30. The cashier entered a $20 tip, thus I called the store and asked for the store manager to correct my charges. I had $12-$13 meal w/ coffee and provided a $2 tip (which equates to ~15%). Pretty fair right? Again this may be an isolated event, I have not heard back from the cashier or store manager. I did get a nice email from First Watch corporate, but time has passed and AMEX reimbursed me for the tip fiasco. What should have been 5 stars for the first 20 visits that I have had at this establishment, 1 negative experience is all it takes so I have revised and updated my original review to be neutral read more

Walked in and several workers walked past us without a greeting. One person sat us and the party in front of me at the same time and said "I'll take you guys to the only tables I know that are clean." I tried the crepe and thought was very yummy and enjoyed the granola as well. I thought it was a good sized portion but the stuffing was mostly banana with a small amount of strawberries on the inside and one piece of pineapple, honeydew, strawberry each on top. Power wrap - just what I was looking for. Not very flavorful but the salsa on the side helps. I wanted something fresh and not greasy and heavy so this fit the bill.
