The owner was a jaggernaut of conversation and gave a brief overview of the pastry laid out on the counter next to the fresh baked empanadas in the warmer display. The stainless steel expresso machine was eyeballing me and of course I can never resist a good cup of coffee. Purchased a Lavazza dark creamy blended Colada. The dining room resembled a quaint Euro style living room. Took a small seat under an American Flag and was served my Colada by the owner. It was presented in a mini black porcelain cup with the word "espresso" multi stamped in white lettering, straddling a matching saucer. Sipped my tasty strong Colada while my eyes gazed at the mass signages and memorabilia causing a slight visual overload. The gender assigned clean bathroom had wrap around raised foil design molding against the burgandy and burnt orange walls providing a strong Euro decor. Oddly there was an office chair in the bathroom stall confusing the flow of the intended theme. Interesting choice of name for the unique café. This was not a dull visit to say the least and needs to be blasted out on social media for others to enjoy - mic drop.

On July 22, 2022- FIRST WATCH-Every time hubby and I come to the First Watch on Commercial Blvd in Tamarac they do not disappoint. Our server Ms. Natalie was awesome, she kept checking on our table and if something did not look right, she would take it back and get it re-cooked again. Waiting is not long, Friendly Staff, Cleanliness a plus. They always greet you with a warm smile while we the customers show up grumpy and hungry at times. I normally get the traditional breakfast with crispy bacon, and don't forget the yummy freshly baked blueberry muffins, with the kale morning meditation & black coffee that they do bring out fresh. We normally go to the one on Coral Springs but lately the wait is toooooo long and you really must check what other restaurants are close by and visit. Sometimes there are more places you can visit and experience the food in your own back yard. Hubby loves his Tri-Feca Breakfast with his beet juice and a shot of energy booster. Prices are very reasonable, and the food is great also. I only encounter 1 bad experience and that was on the cheesy grits that they bombarded with butter. I did present that to the waitress Ms. Natalie, and she took that off the bill right away. Just remember folks if you don't like something and it does not look right do not eat it. It's for a reason someone did not check to make sure the food was appropriate enough to make it out the kitchen. My motto send it back so the cooks can also see their mistakes and carelessness. First off want to say I love First Watch and so does my wife. Very glad this location opened up. Walked in yesterday and was greeted right away by someone who seemed to be the manger and was also sat as soon as I told him my party number. Once we sat we spoke with our waitress whose name on our receipt is Alexia, she was awesome. Alexia went back and fourth with us and made sure we were ok while still juggling a good amount of other tables. We didn't feel forgotten at all! She helped my wife and I by explaining the menu to us even after us being to First Watch quite a few times already. Although it wasn't our first time she made us feel as if it was and made us want to try new things from what we always order (the avocado toast and or the classic favorite breakfasts'). One thing I would love to say is that the food is never disappointing and always comes out quickly and HOT! Love the consistency. Thank you for having us and we will be back soon read more

This place gets it right on so many levels. I was there on 3/22 and, quite honesty having a hard day. Alexandra was my server. She made me feel as if I mattered, as if I was the only person she had to take care of even though that was not the case. She lifted my spirits and made me laugh. I felt a little guilty about monopolizing her time and I didn't want her manger, Christian, to be upset, so before I left, through tears, I explained my tough day and thanked him for letting her spend the extra time with me that morning. He put his arm around my shoulder and assure me they were there for me - any time. He understood my grief. Let's face it, quality restaurants have quality food it's expected, but they don't all have employees like Alexandra and Christian, employees who care. (And by the way, the food was amazing.) We always love going to First Watch. I brought my mother for the first time. We had a small issue with the wait and then with my dish coming out as ordered. But the staff is so amazing and went above and beyond to fix it for us and made us feel welcomed. Food was hot and delicious as always. The GM Christian Iglesias was so nice. He made sure we were taken care of once we brought the small issue to his attention. I visit this location whenever I am in town, and I will be back next time I am in town.
