The food is always delicious with large servings. My two go-tos are the Western omlette and a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich bagel. Almost everything could be improved. I sat down and had to wait about six minutes before one of the waitresses recognized that I was sitting at a table. I was given a menu and told her I would like a cup of coffee and a glass of iced water. She brought them to me and wanted my order. I asked her for another minute as I was still looking at the w. I ordered the 2-2-2 with pancakes (versus Challah French Toast). When she brought my order to my table, the food appeared to be cooked the way I wanted it cooked. The eggs and the bacon were fine, but the pancakes were soooo rubbery that I only ate half as I couldn't get the waitress's attention to have them changed. In fact she was so busy talking to one of her regular customers that I couldn't get her attention for more coffee. I had the same problem when I wanted my check. Service is absolutely horrid. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We waited over an hour for our food while watching multiple tables that came in after us get served first. I completely understand that it's busy on Mother's Day, but the lack of communication was unacceptable. Nobody ever came to our table to give us updates, check in, or even offer a refill on coffee while we sat there waiting. We felt completely forgotten. Heard about this bagel shop for a while now and finally found it the corner Pine Plaza blocked by a McDonald's on Pine Island Dr. Surprised by the large size of the dining room, which is rare for bagel shops. Retro black and white bakery picture wall decor. The front waiting area smelled awesome with many large swollen bagels displayed in open cubby holes based on the flavor. This waiting area actually had a leather couch to wait for pick up orders or seating which was a nice touch. The hostess greeted me and we chatted about the menu specialties. When inquired, she explained that the bagels are not baked in shop although are baked at an undisclosed location and delivered fresh here every morning, so of course I had to try one. She toasted an onion bagel for take out. The gender assigned bathroom was clean, but the floor was sticky which possibly means they recently used a floor cleaner similar to Pine Sol that left a residue. They do offer outside patio seating but chose to ingest my bagel in the comfort of my vehicle with cold air blowing. Immediately sniffed my bagel and said, "Oh Yeah" but not outloud. The bagel was not skimpy on the onion flakes and was super fluffy even when lightly toasted. Noticed that this location caters to a majority of senior customers that were slowly, and I do mean slowly, strolling into this shop, thankfully a handicap ramp is provided with nearby handicap parking. This is my first time here as I found this restaurant on my google maps listed under breakfast. There were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant but it still took 15 minutes before the waitress came over. I am highly allergic to any pork products.Including bacon, sausage or ham as I get serious migrant headaches. This is like a mom and pop diner with a fairly large seating area. On this particular visit I asked for an off the menu item. I wanted their French Riviera omelette in a wrap (burrito style). They checked with the kitchen and said no problem. I asked that they scramble the eggs vs an actual omelette. I got a side of their grits with it. This was absolutely delicious! If you want good food with bad service in a senior center environment, this is the place! I had a late breakfast with my daughter and arrived earlier than her by 15 minutes. I was told to seat myself but most every table had a reserved sign on it. Guess who came in to sit there? Old people who were coughing, talking loudly and leaving their walker in the open spaces. I don't have a problem with the older population except when they are disrespectful to others in a public place. My server, Ana, was very slow and thought everything she did was funny. I didn't get it? I was glad that the kitchen was very good because food was prepared quickly and at a good temperature. Had to wait for the DMV appointment at the office and found this listed as a few blocks away. Pricing was decent and the food was good, but the bagel was very underwhelming. For a place that has a bagel in the name. They should try to do a better job. For me it was slightly undercooked. I noticed a lot of older people there so perhaps they have to have bland food due to their customer base. I got a basic bagel, egg cheese, and bacon sandwich. When we dined-in the service was polite. Although my order was incomplete. I asked for an over medium egg in my BLT and instead got well done bacon, which I'm not a fan of. The server offered to bring out an egg but at that point I just requested they take it off the bill. The doordash delivery was on a Sunday. It took a while. This was our first and last time eating at this restaurant! The restaurant seemed extremely unorganized and the staff seemed to be stressed out. I ordered a breakfast combo which included eggs, a side of home fries, a biscuit and turkey sausage. My fiancé ordered the matzo ball soup, which had no taste and the ball fell apart immediately upon putting the spoon in the bowl. My food was the most unappetizing thing I had ever seen, especially when I specifically requested for the eggs to be well done but they came out completely wet and soggy. I requested for my food to be sent back and cooked properly as I had originally requested. They needed to be sent back twice and each time they were brought back it was worse and worse. The cook clearly did not follow any food safe regulations, by putting my eggs back into a pan AFTER my fork had already touched it. The second time they came out, instead of just making a fresh set of eggs, they came out with bits of my cut up sausage and fries cooked into the burnt eggs. When I requested for this to be removed from the bill as at this point I was not going to be eating this meal, the waitress with the pink hair decided to "just remove the eggs" and charged me individually for the biscuit and the turkey sausage....looks like this place really needs the money. First time here. Saw a lot of advertising's and vids on their instagram account. Me and my wife had a great experience. My wife ordered the 2-2-2 and a side of hash brown. I had the original breakfast with sausage. We ordered eggs over easy and was cooked perfection. The sausage tasted fresh and the food was great. My wife enjoyed the pancakes and said best she has had in a while. Place was full at 10:45 on a Wednesday. Looking at other tables and what was ordered, all the food looked amazing. The bagels were a little too doughy, the cream cheese tasted like it was house made but lacked the rich flavor of cream cheese. This is a local gem that didn't require reservation. It's seems to be the spot for a lot of seniors. We enjoyed people watching as they pushed their walkers and found a table. Solid breakfast joint if you're looking for fresh bagels and consistent traditional breakfast dishes. Now, if you're looking for a boujee brunch joint with a themed decor or a cocktail menu, this is not your place. It's more like a diner feel with staff that remembers the regulars, dishes that don't skimp out, and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. The pics on Yelp don't really do it justice as they did renovate their dining area. Will have to take some pics for y'all next time I'm there. I really like their fresh bagels (and this is coming from a New Yorker in my past life). Also, their French toast has never disappointed either. Consistently delicious. Western omelette is solid too. Beware of this place. They sold me a chicken salad that was rotten. I called them to inform when I opened it at home. The clerk ask me to throw it away and come back for a refund, her name is Jazmin. I came back a week later and she called the manager to request authorization for the refund. The manager was very rude, a person from Venezuela, he asked me for the container in a very aggressive form, I told him that I throw it away a week ago as I was told to do so and that I was expecting a refund. He said to me that many people go to their place and try that lie to eat for free. Incredible! Not only was I almost intoxicated, but also treated as a thief. I felt miserable as he raised his voice to tell me this in front of other customers. I reply to him that he should be thankful that I called to let them know about the issue so no other people was at risk of getting sick, and that they should told me to bring the plastic container if they need it instead of calling me a liar. I expected respect as I was not saying a lie and Jazmin was in front of us and she could verify what I was saying. This manager is a shame, a person that crossed a line with his bad attitude and words. I won't ever come back to this place and wish that they keep this manager so they loose more clients. As I was walking away he mentioned to me that this was the company policy, no container no refund and that he did not have any other reports of rooten food as if I was not saying the truth. He pushed the limit, shame on this place. The way this person behaved is despicable. Beware of rotten food, laying clerks and the most indecent manager a place can have. We seem to have this as our go to place for Breakfast every Saturday. The service is always amazing. The food is always well done and done as ordered. As for decor and ambience the big screen TV's always playing movies or Cooking videos (love it) . Plenty of parking there too. My usual breakfast is usually 2 eggs , whole wheat toast and grits. The eggs always come out perfectly medium with JUST enough yolk for dipping the toast. My wife loved her french toast too, My daughter had the LEO omelete and her potatoes were delicious.. I have been going there for years, normally for breakfast, which I love and it has so much more, creative meal specials, always something good. Lunch is also fantastic. Quality of food is spectacular, fresh and service is always attentive. Lots of indoor seating and some seating outside too. I love being able to eat a meal there which I always enjoy, no exceptions. In addition to the spectacular food, it has ambience, great background music playing and always something playing on their TV, usually humorous and nostalgic! Great atmosphere while enjoying my meal. Ended up heading to Bagel Host Too, sandwiched somewhere between Oakland Park Blvd land Sunset strip in Sunrise. The shopping center features an AMC and a large GoodWill, I believe it used to have a Winn Dixie which was razed to make way for apartments. Anyway the restaurant was immaculate, and I notice the little details, it wasn't exactly full but it was too early for early birds and late for lunch. Service was prompt and thoughtful as this appears to be a well run family business. Each one of us enjoyed our food, and everything appeared at least to be fresh, food was presented well especially for the type of restaurant it was. My order was basic just a turkey sandwich on a bagel, could not tell if it was cold cut turkey or roasted turkey but it was certainly good, as were the fries and the bagel I ordered it on. The Eggs Benedict and the Egg sandwich tasty. The Nutella pancakes and the waffle also garnered positive reviews from some picky eaters. For $74.00 with a 20% tip included it was well worth it.
