The food was amazing!!! The wait wasn't long for anything. The music is NOT LOUD AT ALL. and the ambiance is relaxing with a beautiful view of the garden. The restaurant has a bit of an echo but that's just how it was built. There's nothing wrong with this establishment. And the 20% gratuity is 5% for the restaurant and 15% for the waitress/waiter. Everyone was very attentive and helpful. At least they're working well for what they expect, they deserved the 20%. Also, they had christian hits playing so I loved it even more. Definitely going again! The only thing I will note as a negative was they had responded saying the gratuity is stated on the menu and it wasn't. At least we couldn't find it. read more

But there are dozens of places you can get good breakfast food. It's become our weekend breakfast routine because of the people. I was really in the mood for biscuits and gravy and found Maple & Cream in Plantation. The Ambiance: First of all, be prepared to be unable to talk to anyone you're dining with. This place had to be the loudest restaurant I've ever visited and I've visited thousands of restaurants in my career as a chef! The noise was ear splitting. The setting is best described as family style with long tables ideal for large parties everywhere. There is a small cute patio dining area that would be quieter but, during our visit it was simply too hot to eat outside. The Service: The host told us it would be a 45 minute wait however, our wait was only 15 minutes. The service was excellent with our server taking care of every one of our needs without being overbearing. The food came quickly and our server was astute enough to understand what a tea latte was, which is always a challenge, but after a second to think it through, put the order in exactly as it was meant to be. Our food came out unbelievably fast, within five minutes, which was totally amazing considering how packed the restaurant was. The Food: My lovely bride had the Spinach artichoke dip and I had the biscuits and Maple gravy (which actually had no maple in the gravy. It actually turned out to be a typical sausage gravy). My tea which, is always a challenge, came out exactly as I had wanted it. The food unfortunately was not up to everything else. The presentation was great. You can tell they took great care in how they presented their food but both the spinach artichoke dip and my gravy and biscuits were not bad. It just lacked any oomph. Both were ok but, much too bland for our tastes. The biscuits, although clearly fresh made, were a bit too hard for biscuits and gravy however, I did save half of my biscuit for honey and butter and the biscuit was ideal for that. The bottom line: As always, my bottom line (the customer so what) would I come back? The answer, probably not, especially because of the noise which really makes you blow through your food so you can get out and get a bit of peace and quiet but, also because of food that was not bad, simply nothing special. read more

My bf and I decided to stop by after some of our morning errands. Upon arrival, hostess greeted us and sat us down. Then, our waiter came by to take our drink order in which he recommended the espresso shaken coffee because I was pretty tired and needed to wake up and my bf went with an OJ. Then, we ordered jamón serrano croquetas which tasted different from other jamón croquetas but they were good. So, I would recommend ordering it. As for our main entree, I ordered the sunrise skillet with beef. If you don't want to order beef, they have pork too. My bf ordered the huevos roto bravos and a side of buttermilk pancake. The reason for the 3 star review is that the grits were luke warm and the shrimp was over cooked. You grind and roast your coffee beans onsite and it smells like something is burning almost smokey. I had an appointment in the area, and found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try for breakfast. I ordered a coffee, the croissant French toast, and a side of bacon. The croissant French toast came out and was super mushy, and most of the batter had turned into eggs. I had advised my server that I did not like the texture or consistency of the French toast and she brought the manager over. The manager suggested I try the sourdough French toast instead, stating , that it is very difficult to make French toast with the croissant because it absorbs a lot of the batter and will ultimately turn into eggs. I found that very strange, but I didn't say anything and opted to order the sourdough French toast at her recommendation. When this came out, it was even worse than the croissant French toast. Looking back the thought of using sourdough for a French toast is probably the worst bread choice of ever. After sitting so long without having a thing to eat, I just paid the check and left. Great food. Parking is free and surrounds 3/4 of the restaurant. We were told it was a 20 min wait to be seated. Lucky us, it was only 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and had a "play" area with checkers and tic tac toe. As an appetizer, we shared the cheddar scones and loved them. For my drink, I just had to get the Ferrerro Rocher Latte, which was hazelnut praline flavor with a candied hazelnut rim and an actual Ferrerro Rocher chocolate on the side. This was comforting, warm and creamy, with strong hazelnut taste. The hazelnut rim added to the richness of the coffee. It was difficult to decide what to order, but finally went with Skillet Potatoes with pulled pork, and egg with tomato based sauce. The egg was fried over hard and well made. The pulled pork was tender, slightly sweet, juicy, and well seasoned. Potatoes were hearty and cooked perfectly. Service was solid. I kind of forgot about Maple and Cream, but as I was close by with my mom we decided to stop in for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Monday. The restaurant had a fair amount of diners; but we only had to wait 2-3 minutes before being seated. Our server approached us quickly and we actually had to suggest they come back so we'd have time to look over the menu. I decided on the Hunter & Gatherer bowl which consisted of some greens, chickpeas, farro and grilled chicken with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It was a huge portion and quite good. The appetizer that guaranteed that I'll be back is their Leek-Mushroom Croquetas. Talk about flavor town! The combination of crispy exterior with soft fluffy interior was mind blowing. Mom ordered a hot matcha latte while I ordered a hot chai. The matcha was bright, light, & airy while the chai felt like a warm hug. My mom decided to be adventurous & try their burrata burger with arugula & pesto. The burger patty is a great size & cooked to order. I tried their Omelette Basqaise, which is a manchego cheese omelette with a sweet pepper onion & tomato sauce. Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed; it lacked flavor & for $16 I was disappointed that the spinach & mushrooms were an additional $2 each (if not added, which I chose to do, it would just be a cheese omelette with tomato sauce.) Judging by the crowd that was there, I could tell it was a hidden gem. The ambiance was nice and the seating was spacious. The food didn't take long at all to start coming out. For the appetizer, we ordered the canelas, which are essentially 4 pieces of deep fried mini cinnamon rolls. They were delicious! 10/10 Less than five minutes later, our main courses were brought out. I ordered the Sweet Holiday Waffle that was topped with fruit and the shrimp and grits that came with eggs and a spicy reddish sauce that perfectly aligned the outer rim around the circumference of the grits. Between the taste and the generous portion I received I have to rate it a 10/10. The rest of my family ordered the Huevos Rotos Bravos (eggs, ham and potatoes) and Croissant French Toast with eggs and bacon. The service was terrific and the staff was nice and accommodating. The good thing is that once you are notified of your table being available , you have a 15 minute grace period to claim it. They have a cute little holiday menu with drinks and dishes. With their seasonal menús for food and drinks, exceptional service from the staff and all the holiday decorations. I have tried a good portion of their breakfast options but i was excited for the holiday drinks but i couldn't try them all. Tried the carmel espresso and it was really good. The shrimp and grits were good and filling grits may have been a bit too grainy for my taste but the flavors were there. The chocolate chip pancakes was good as well with our without syrup. This place is super cute and our server was really friendly. I thought the food was just OK. The eggs sardou was not what I was used to or what I expected. The sauce was completely covering the plate and was kind of bland, honestly with all the liquid it made me a bit nauseas. The omelette my partner ordered was pretty good, although it didn't have all the ingredients he requested- the server offered to remake but we were in a little bit of a hurry. I decided to try a maple and cream restaurant, this morning for the first time. When we got there, we were able to sit right away and got served fairly quickly. The coffee's and specialty drinks were amazing, the food was good. However, after receiving the check, I was told that there was already a 20% service charge added automatically., I understand if it was a large party, but it was just my wife and myself. I am not a fan of restaurants who automatically determine the tip and have it nothing based on service. Due to this we won't be returning or recommending this restaurant. read more

As for the tipping, we knew the tipping was automatic but having the manager hover over us was not pleasant. A very nice place that has a horrible parking lot. Other than that, this place is really darn good! The place was insanely clean and I liked that I was sat down very quickly. My only other concern is that we sat around waiting for a bit before out waiter finally came over and already was asking us if we were ready, without introducing himself or anything. I decided to get a cold brew and while it was nice in strength and had a robust flavor, I genuinely laughed when I was given it because, for the price point of $6 dollars, it was mostly ice. I basically was nursing the drink so I could enjoy it. For my food, I decided to get the Croissant Eggs Royale which was a croissant, goat cheese, smoked salmon and it was topped with two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce, it was $19 dollars. While it was very good, it wasn't anything to write home about. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was very nice but it didn't have enough on it in my opinion. Mt wife got the sunrise skillet with scrambled eggs (which they charged extra $2 without telling us it was additional) and the shredded beef. When she got it, there was shrimp in the dish and no shredded beef. W had tk wave down a random girl working because our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Once we finally got the right dish, it was very tasty but that is a huge mistake if someone has a shellfish allergy. This place also has an automatic gratuity included and when I paid and was told that, the manager was hovering, looking as if he was expecting us to add more tip ontop of that automatic gratuity. I saw a TikTok video and decided to try out this place with a friend. The service was okay/normal. Nothing to write about. I was disappointed in the food and will not be going back. We ordered a burrata appetizer. It said it's supposed to come with fresh garlic bread. We go 4 thinly sliced bread that was very crispy. The burrata itself tasted like it just came out of the plastic bag it was bought in. I ordered the dulce nutella french toast and was so disappointed I didn't take a photo. There were barely any fruits and the toast again was so hard I couldn't cut it. Also they included gratuity already in the bill. Which I was surprised because the menu said gratuity will be included in a group of 6 or more. Or maybe I read it wrong but crazy. Overall our dining experience was 5/5 except for the food I ordered, which I would give it 4/5. It was breakfast burger (I had a craving) and I couldn't help but wonder every bite whether it was good or not good. My girlfriend ordered the croissant that had little too much going on with the syrup and she chose not to take her leftovers togo which was a first, and because of this I assumed she did not enjoy it as much. This caught us by surprise since their food is usually on point. This place is located in a plaza that has a parking garage. It's going to be a bit of a walk so be prepared. There are some parking spaces available by the front of the restaurant but it's usually always full. This place has stayed consistent since opening! Such a great addition to Plantation. I love there is waitlist option and the ability to order drinks/snacks at the counter for quick service. It was early Saturday morning and although it wasn't empty it wasn't too busy insane like you'd expect any breakfast place to be; which was a nice surprise as it was quiet inside. The amount they put on that skillet is insane! The first bite practically melted in my mouth, the pulled pork was packed with flavor while being juicy and tender. Our server was named Evelyn. I don't think her service was 20% tip worthy. I don't like the tip policy. I don't think it should be automatic. FYI on the menu it states they charge automatic 20% for tip. My husband had to a find sugar. I think the server should tell you that the tip is included and when they give you the credit machine to pay there is an option to add more tip. I don't think they need that option if they are already charging a lot of tip. I think this is outrageous. The food was good but is nothing out of this world. I ordered the the daily grind with the jalapeño sausage, buttermilk waffle, butter biscuit, and scrambled eggs. I ordered the Dubai chocolate latte and it was good.
