Honestly, really frustrating experience from start to finish. We even called ahead twice--once early to try to reserve and were told to call back closer to the time... which we did--so we expected things to be somewhat organized. They weren't. First, they wouldn't seat our group together inside, which already made things awkward. Then the tables they did give us were ridiculously small--clearly not meant for a group with kids. They told us to move outside, so we did, trying to make the best of it. One umbrella was already open, and we opened another ourselves. Then staff came over, grabbed both umbrellas, and said they "didn't work" and needed to take them back--while being completely over the kids as they were closing them. It felt chaotic and inconsiderate. What made it worse? They had no problem leaving another family sitting comfortably with an umbrella. So clearly, it wasn't actually an issue. Overall, disorganized, poor communication, and not very accommodating--especially when you're dining with kids. This was my first time at this location. There was plenty of parking during breakfast time. This restaurant is much bigger inside than you think it will be. Of course this location keeps up with the cute farmhouse vibe. My mom and I got a table in the back and immediately got coffee poured for us. The service was quick and friendly. The coffee was very good and I appreciate the flavored coffee creamer that are provided in a bowl on the table. I ordered the breakfast that included a pancake which I upgraded to a chocolate chip pancake, sausage, and eggs. Everything was sooooo good. The chocolate chip pancake didn't even need syrup I could eat it on its own. My mom ordered the strawberry cheesecake bites and she really enjoyed them. Experience: it was a Thursday morning around 10:45. We were in this part of town after an appointment and it wasn't quite lunch time, so we figured we'd look for brunch. Looked on YELP and found this spot. Facility: This is in a strip mall on the end with some outdoor seating when we entered the building. Inside they have booths and traditional tables and chairs. It was pretty crowded as we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to sit, which wasn't too bad. Service: 4/5 the waitress was nice but new and it showed. But she did her best... just seemed overwhelmed. However, she got our orders correct so she did her job. Food: Their menu is fantastic! Both of us had a tough time decided. I had FOMO every time a plate passed me by. Everything looked delicious. But here's what we ordered: They brought our water in a cute old fashioned milk jug... nice touch. Trifecta - 5/5 we got the waffle, scrabbled eggs and bacon. Waffle was very good. I think they could have had a second egg (maybe they normally do, but with the egg shortage they are only giving 1 egg out now). The SoCal Hash 5/5 - This was so good... it has Mexican spiced chicken, potatoes, beans, cheese with pico, avocado, and an egg on top ... of course I got mine over easy ... yum!! They serve it with 2 tortillas to make some yummy breakfast tacos... I added some chalula on top to perfect it! When tables are dirty and not being cleaned to open them for new customers - that's a management problem. I visit this restaurant often and have always enjoyed the experience, which is why this visit was disappointing. Our waitress seemed very dismissive while taking my order and never once smiled or appeared happy to be serving us. Friendly, welcoming customer service can make a big difference in the overall dining experience. Additionally, a single pancake from our order had to be remade. While I understand kitchens can get busy, it didn't arrive to my table until after I had already finished the rest of our meal, making it completely unnecessary at that point. On a positive note, the manager handled the situation professionally and removed the pancake from the bill, which is appreciated. Excellent food, fast & friendly service, and a wonderfully lit and maintained restaurant - the First Watch in the Avenue Viera shopping center became one of our favorite places to eat during our short trip to the area. The fresh pressed juice cocktails were delicious, and a great vitamin-dense starter. The coffee was very rich, and their unsweet iced tea was refreshing. When our meals came out, we wolfed them down because they were just wonderfully delicious. I got their turkey burger, and it ended up being one of my favorite turkey burgers from any location (juicy well-seasoned patty, fresh crisp veggies, and lightly seasoned avocado spread). My wife's breakfast was also prepared perfectly, and I feel like their Million Dollar Potatoes were aptly named - so good! We've since found other First Watch locations that are near where we live, and have enjoyed visiting them. The First Watch in the Avenue Viera center was an excellent representation of the chain, making a great first impression on us, as well as making regular customers out of us. read more

I had the Parmesan prosciutto toast, the prosciutto was excellent, it melted in your mouth, but the bread got a little soggy. We got the feast for four and a huge disappointment. First off, it is $150 and it should be called feast for Two. We got 2 small crab leg things and not only not much crab, they were small. They were about the size of my pinkie. Also, some spices and flavor would have been nice. It is served in a bowl with liquid which were were told is garlic butter. We have a restaurant in Michigan that has a very similar item and it $95 and has 3 options of spices, medium, spicy and hot. So since it had no spices or enough to add to the flavor, the potatoes were even bland. Very frustrating experience overall. Went to a later lunch with my MIL today around 1pm and decided to go to first watch as I have always found this chain to be fairly consistent. Boy was I wrong on that visiting the Viera location for the first time. We were set at dirty table. Did not realize how dirty until we actually set down. After atleast 5 minutes I had to go and ask about where our waiter was. She finally came and we placed our entire order but with an attitude. The food was hot and fresh. She ordered the Ham & Guyere whole sandwich and I ordered the 1/2 ham & gueyre sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup. The half of sandwich I received had significantly less ham and cheese than the sandwich my MIL received. Just FYI in case you think of doing the special. Our waitress barely checked on us. Had to go and get extra napkins on my own. Had to go and ask for a bag to put our to go boxes into on my own. Our server just did not want to be there or to serve us and made for a very unpleasant experience although the food on its own was good. It will be a long time before I come to this location of ever again. We ordered, from the summer menu, lone star brisket hash, smoked, hand-pulled brisket and house-pickled sweet peppers in a potato hash, topped with two cage-free eggs any style, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, fresh smashed avocado, housemade pico de gallo, chipotle aioli and scallions. Served with two warm wheat-corn tortillas. Trifecta (eggs, bacon, and French toast), a biscuit, and 2 sides of million dollar bacon. The line star hash was a little disappointing. 1st, the server did not ask me how I wanted my eggs and bought them out scrambled. The brisket was minimal. The wheat tortillas were the best on the plate and made the dish better. Made tacos with them. The trifecta dish was good. French toast not as fluffy but good. The million dollar bacon ALWAYS a wonderful delight. Drinks, Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, made with orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet. Purple Haze made with lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea, and a hint of lavender. They were good. I love First Watch! Visited this specific location today for the first time and experience was mostly positive. It was super packed being brunch time on the weekend. Regardless, we only waited about 7 minutes before we had a table! All employees were polite and working their butts off! The only issue we had was the coffee mugs on our table when we were seated were clearly dirty - all 4 of them! This sketched us out so we did not order any drinks other than water.
