We checked in on the app w a 5-15min wait for a table of 8. We waited 40min and a table was finally cleaned and ready but the hostess took another party of 5 that checked in well after us to the table after telling us our table was ready. Then they said they were going to give us a dirty table but needed more time to clean it up. Waiting over 40min then having no explanation I asked for the GM. He had no answer. He walked away then came back and gave an apology w gift cards which I refused to accept. I don't need gift cards, I want an understanding of why that happened. If an explanation cannot be given don't try to bribe me. Horrible experience. It's a shame that I won't be coming back to this establishment. We've been coming at least 3-4 times a month and it's only gotten worse. Safe to say this management team needs to be addressed. read more

We ordered the seasonal lemon blueberry cornbread and it was spectacular; I've never had lemon butter before and really liked it. We also ordered the million dollar bacon which is sweet with a slight kick at the end. For my entree, I ordered the quinoa powerbowl. They allowed me to swap Italian sausage for turkey sausage. Also, since it was early, I wasn't in the mood for the vinaigrette dressing and swapped that for turkey gravy (omg this was the move!). Delish. Stopped here before my flight at RSW. I was so full but not feeling heavy. Def recommend. There's still a lot of other items on the menu I'd like to try. Decor can be described as modern yet homey. The food was ehh... ok. Everything else was terrible. For a place that charges you a premium, it was not worth half of the money we paid. Fact! For starters, we asked to be seated outside by the pond, it was the filthiest patio I have ever seen... the waitress blamed it on the birds. Yeah, we do have birds in Naples, but as a restaurant owner, you do what you have to do to ensure cleanliness. If it was my place, I would have someone there every morning to powerwash the floors and clean the tables. In addition, I would teach my entire staff on how to hold a cleaning towel and how to properly clean a table with a smile, not like the person that sat us did... with a napkin and two fingers. She cleaned about 30% of the table. Pathetic. If you hire people, you make sure they know what they are doing at every position they hold. That includes attitude! Thank you. Pathetic! What a brunch! The steak and eggs hash on their holiday specials menu is an item to rave about. We also had the stay golden cinnamon roll, a yummy little treat and it's a shareable size. The honey caramel crunch iced coffee was also a 10/10 - these items should go on the regular menu! This wasn't our first time at First Watch, but the food at this location was so much better than what we remember experiencing at other locations. Maybe it was the holiday specials dish that really did it for us, not sure, but it was amazing. The service was fantastic as well - our server was so warm and personable. I tried the eggs Benedict, however, and I really can't recommend them. I guess my expectations for "Classic Eggs Benedict" are a little different. We had a nice brunch here this morning. Unrushed -- we arrived more than half an hour before the other couple whom we were meeting, and we never felt any pressure to put in our order and get going on the meal. We just relaxed over our coffee and tea and a small fruit bowl. And we lingered for quite a while after finishing our meal, as the place filled up with lunch diners. Again, the staff were relaxed about our presence. Can't say that everywhere. I enjoyed the million dollar potatoes and blackberry french toast with lemon cream, apparently two new additions to the menu. And then I went for the pomegranate sunrise, a nice cocktail. Had to kick off my brunch with a mimosa, my mother went the healthy route and ordered a Kale Tonic juice. Both were delicious! I had a fun filled day of shopping so I wanted a heartier meal... Lots of families so if you are looking for quiet this is probably not your place. I don't mind noise at breakfast, it's dinners where I need more of a sanctuary atmosphere. First off, Amelia, our waitress, was FANTASTIC! One of the best servers I have ever encountered, even in my hospitality background, she is the best of the best. Why? She was friendly, she was witty, she was spot on. Amazing personality! My daughter drew what she wanted for breakfast and Amelia deciphered it as if she was her child. She shared her favorite items on the menu and why. You could tell she LOVES what she does. Great, great service! So that was first my impression; outstanding service. Now let's talk about the food. The chickichonga comes with cut up potatoes, but now you can upgrade to a million dollar potato--which is basically potatoes with cut up bacon (the bacon is covered with maple and pepper), and sour cream. It's only $1 dollar to upgrade, but it is so worth it. The orange juice is awesome! The coffee is above average (I know that's subjective). Service-- is very fast and friendly. The wait times to get in can be pretty long, so I recommend that you check in online prior to getting there so you can avoid having to wait outside the restaurant for so long. Ambiance--the restaurant is located in front of a small man made pond with a water fountain, it's really nice to sit outside, however, it's a longer wait time to sit outside. For my first visit to a First Watch I would say it is exactly like expected. They have a seasonal menu with drinks and food items you can order from as well as a pretty large year-round menu that includes all of the favorite breakfast brunch and lunch dishes. The service is pretty typical of fast casual restaurant where it's not too many table touches but the waitress we had was incredibly kind. The food! Wait first, the drink! I had a Morning Glory which is a citrus turmeric juice blended with gluten free vodka. It was very light and refreshing exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Hash which came with two eggs your choice and dressed arugula on top and your typical potato, bacon and onion hash to supper those yummy drippy yolks. My partner order the Beef Sandwich which had cheese toasted to the outside of the bread which he very much enjoyed. I have to say being someone who likes going out by myself because it's me time. It surprises me on the disappointment in the waiter/waitress face. I always feel like I am an interruption in their day. As I always do I will leave a $40 tip (this will be a 100% tip) (normally leave a 30-50% tip). Something that you may not get even on a 4/6 top . I spent many years waiting tables and truly enjoyed it. I made a lot of money and the kinder and the more special I treated my clients no matter size of party 20 years ago I made several large tips on a single patron. My tips were often 30% -40% of my sales. And during that time 10% was considered an average tip and %15 considered a great tip. I now have ran a very busy plastic surgeons office for 17 years. I don't usually post reviews unless it is a positive experience. So i decided to today because the waitress delivered me a piece of toast that would break your teeth. I had already placed my poached egg on it and trust me very unpleasant experience when you try to bite into a piece of toast and it basically disintegrated. When I asked the waitress if I could have a fresh piece of toast with a new poached egg as my egg was already on the nasty toast. She rolled her eyes. Not a good experience compared to the more than a 100 visits I've been to First Watch. I would say in the past things were not as expected as to the reputation, but I always try to respect those in the service business I understand that there will be times where the server is over sat or the kitchen is understaffed. But if I may suggest you improve your service with positive reinforcement and never become complacent in the quality of the food you serve. I have always considered First Watch to be consistently good quality food and great service. I guess you are now following suit with the other restaurants who no longer appreciate their patrons and or their own reputation. One more thing your hosts should consider the location when someone who is alone for a meal. She tried to seat me in the center of the room. When I asked her if she could seat me at a table that wasn't in the middle of the room, she just sat me farther in but still in the middle of the room. Ending in a positive note.
