I just tried Alda's for the first time and what a lovely experience. Service was quick and very friendly. I ordered the avocado toast and my guest ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. Both were delicious!

Some good friends brought me here for a late breakfast, it is one of their favorite spots. Well, it is now one of my favorite spots. The owners are on site and working vary hard alongside the other staff. So the service was exceptional from start to finish. They really make you feel like family here. The food was home cooking goodness at its best. I love a good country breakfast and this did not disappoint. The serving size was generous, in fact I had to take part of mine home. You need to try this place if you love locally owned family restaurants.

Excellent food! We decided to stop at this great little diner on our way back from a swamp your. I had the avocado toast which was piled high with eggs, avocados and a few other goodies. I highly recommend it!

So interior is very nice. Outside patio had cigarette butts scattered around. Not a big deal but makes you wonder.Perfect day for being outside. They played soft music. The server was very rushed for a breakfast time that didnt have a bunch of diners yet. She Was really put off when my wife asked for a new cup of coffee because it tasted burnt. This will be our third breakfast place. We were drawn to it because it was close-to St Agnes Church and said everything was made from scratch. Not sure corned beef hash from a can is made from scratch. The corned beef was cooked on the griddle and had a perfect crust. The skillet overall was fine. The addition of sausage gravy may have been unnecessary but it was tasty. Lots of perfectly cooked potatoes in the skillet. Eggs on top were extremely well cooked. Always sad that a large egg is so small now. Would probably ask for a third egg in the future. Lots of potatoes. The ratio of potatoes to corned beef was way to many potatoes. My wife had the Desantis omelet. That was good. Asked for hot sauce and server said she had some with her omelet. The meal came with salsa. The english muffins were hockey pucks. The coffee was some of the worse coffee I have had since I stopped going to Dunkin because the coffee was always burnt. My wife smelled her second cup and left it. Im a coffee drinker. Ive backpacked coffee to the bottom of the grand canyon and to the top of a mountain in Colorado. I couldnt finish this. Sorry Alda we wont be back. Overall everything was fine. We will keep looking.

Decided to come here with my family on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Beat decision ever! Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately by a super friendly woman. The diner is much bigger than it looks on the outside. Plus there is tons of seating and full on bar. Once seated we noticed there was a mimosa menu on the table... yes, they offer different kinds of mimosas! I highly suggest ordering the Farmers omelet or Avocado Toast. The food here is beyond flavorful and the portions are huge (I was full for hours)!

Hugeeeee portions. Texas style rye roast. Could only finish half, hubby almost his entire meal. Pineapple slices were white, yuk. Strong coffee. Side of avocado was sliced fresh and delicious. Nice atmosphere inside. Wonderful waitress. Hubby says we will be back. They have an extensive menu and outdoor seating. Close proximity to our condo. Try it, you may love it.

Alda's diner never disappoints! The food is always amazing and the staff treats everyone like family. This diner has become my family's go to place for breakfast and lunch. We love the staff, adore the owners and have amazing food every time we go.

Google knew it though and the diner showed up when I asked for 'restaurants near me'. This diner is right off Tamiami Trail, a place where many good restaurants are located. Since we got there early, dining was set up for outside, but the great spring weather makes eating outdoors a fun experience. After entering the restaurant, we ordered our food and sat down. There wasn't a long wait for lunch, we got fed quickly and everything was good. The menu is the same as the restaurant at Founders Square, with salads, bowls, a good variety of handhelds, kids options and lots of sides. They even have rotisserie chicken, prime rib and miso salmon, for when you want a little extra. The Parque Del Lago taco salad and California panini looked interesting, but hubs went with the grilled Mahi sandwich and I decided on the classic burger. We both got an order of those addictive sweet potato fries! Service is friendly, the restaurant is clean and welcoming and we'll definitely be back for another lunch in the future.

It had throwback decor and an active fun vibe. They "remodeled" recently and much of the atmosphere was, unfortunately, taken out in the process. We recently visited once again for a quick breakfast and were really disappointed with the new menus featuring unreasonably jacked up prices. A basic scrambled egg and sausage dish was now $18, when it was a fraction of that price not that long ago. When the meal came, the quantity of eggs was also a fraction of what they once served, and the sausage was overcooked. My wife's burger was practically raw, although she ordered it "medium." We paid over $60 with tip for a mediocre nothing meal. The owner(s) have priced themselves into the higher end brunch spots in town and even beyond in many cases. The quality and quantity of food as well as the atmosphere are simply not enough to support the pricing structure. It seems the customers have been driven away as well based upon our visit.

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.

Our server was very nice and conversational, however, I think she might have a habit for forgetting to do something unless she does it right away. Before finishing explaining the sauces with the shrimp crudite, we asked a question and she immediately went to go grab another dip and didn't finish explaining the sauces. I was disappointed in the bananas foster waffles. it said there was banana caramel, and then as a separate item, it said peanut butter maple. I asked probably 2 or 3 different times where the peanut butter maple was as i had gotten my toppings on the side after seeing an order that was drenched go past my table. the first answer i received was that it was the sauce i had in front of me. it was not. it was the caramel. the next time i asked, i was told that the peanut butter and caramel are the same sauce. again, no peanut butter flavor in the sauce. the peanut butter was the thing i was looking forward to the most on the waffle, and by the time she offered to just bring me peanut butter i was almost done with it. i will say that it is a very dense waffle and difficult to cut. i'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way, but i had to use some force to cut into what i thought was going to be a fluffy waffle. we had empty water glasses on our table for quite some time with multiple people passing before being refilled. it wasn't until more people cleared out that we were able to get more water. the cinnamon roll thing: a very nice gesture from the restaurant for birthdays. the cinnamon toast crunch on the outside was nice and crunchy, the caramel gelato between layers was smooth, but the roll itself is a different story. like the waffle, it was dense. not sure if that's because it's served cold but we will chalk it up to that, but the cream cheese frosting has chili and paprika in it! so while we were eating it, all of our throats starting to have a spicy burny feeling in the back. imagine red hots candy for flavor profile. we didn't find out until asking that it has the extra spice in it. just something to note, it might need to be added to server explanation that there is the added spicy element, as there are a lot of people who do not enjoy spicy foods. I stand by my previous reviews that Tigress is strictly a drinks and app place.
