The prices were good, the food was good. Our server went out of his way to get me walnuts for my oatmeal. The only complaint is the coffee was so HOT! We have ate here (Bonita Springs) twice this last week. The food is NOT as good as the closed Naples location. The portion size is acceptable, but what I find the worst is the blackened edges (like over cooking or too high of heat) on the toasts and French bread. The service was hit and miss. The team is always so friendly, and they make it easy to get in and out quickly, even on my lunch break before heading back to work. We've been vacationing in Bonita Springs for more than a dozen years, but this was our first visit to Poached. It probably won't be our last. Great breakfast and lunch menu. Hard to make a choice with so many appealing options. DH enjoyed his Classic Eggs Benedict with Hash Brown Casserole. I opted for a seasonal lunch special: a scoop of chicken salad with cranberries on a bed of greens with apple, pinepple, candied pecans, cucumber, etc. Came with a cup of tomato soup (which I did not finish) and a slice of spice bread. Sat quickly for a party of 6. Very nice and attentive server but I don't believe she ever offered her name (or possibly I missed it) so am unable to identify her. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everyone enjoyed their food. Ordered: small stack w/ scrambled eggs; avocado toast which was piled high; meat lovers eggs benedict; omelette; french toast. The omelette arrived about 5 minutes after the other food which was uncomfortable for all not wanting to start before all were served. We think the omelette was missed by the kitchen. Not rushed to leave so we enjoyed staying for conversation. Overall great little breakfast place which also serves wine. read more

I ordered the American Breakfast ($12.99) along with iced tea ($3.25). The breakfast included two eggs, toast, fresh seasonal fruit, a choice of potatoes, and a selection of proteins--bacon, sausage, ham, kielbasa, apple chicken sausage, Canadian bacon, or corned beef hash. My eggs were cooked perfectly over-easy, but I requested the bacon well done, and it ended up a bit too crisp--my mistake. I opted to skip the potatoes and was offered extra fruit, which I gladly accepted. However, half of the fruit was a bit under-ripe, which was disappointing. Poached in Publix plaza just south of Coconut rd. I ordered 2 eggs over medium well, bacon & toast. Was told they only make eggs medium or well done. I asked again and waitress said she would try. When she brought my order, I checked the eggs. 1 was medium & 1 was well done. I guess the point the cook was making is if you average them together they would be medium well. Held a lunch business meeting.. Richard suggested it for it's convenient location and shaded tables. I ordered a la carte chicken fried steak smothered in so much gravy that I asked for a spoon with a side of Cole slaw. Richard got a chicken salad sandwich with regular sides. Great service. Had breakfast there this morning. Food was ok, couldn't complain. The lady attending to us was serving coffee, I was at the far end of the table. She said to me, my arms are not long enough, motioning me to bring my cup to her across the table. I didnt really mind, but normally when in restaurants they will be willing to go around your area to serve you coffee or your food to where you are seated. A very pretty little place - said to be the third location in 2012 of Naples' Toast restaurants for breakfast & lunch. It's in a strip center, on the end, so it's easy to find and parking is plentiful. I ordered the daily special - eggs, meat, and two stuffed French toast. I asked if the berries in between were fresh because I didn't care for compote. The waitress said she'd find out and left. She returned with my order, and no word about the berries 'til I asked. "O I forgot. Yes, they're fresh." Well, fresh frozen, anyway. At least they weren't compote, so I didn't raise any ruckus. read more

First time visiting restaurant and probably last! The server not only was extremely rude and telling me I needed to put and tip on the card as I was checking out. She literally verbally attacked me and when I went to report her to a manger. She ended up again where I was as I was trying to explain how uncomfortable she made me. I ask her to leave and she didn't. Before she did arrive one of the staff members said she is not only like that to our customers she treat the staff that way too! I was shocked that an owner would keep somebody like this on his staff! The food was just okay too. The overall experience was something I have never experienced.!
