This was the dollar that was handed to me as change from the cashier today. It was crusty with what appeared to be food & tar material
Tony E.

The food was good and the waiter was OK. Just a little surprised when I got my change back from the cashier. I was wondering if the dollar bill was still considered to be legal tender. Not sure how the dollar could get that dirty.

Boy, was this place busy the Saturday after Valentine's Day! Thankfully, we had checked in online ahead of time before heading over. We only had a brief wait before being seated, and our waitress greeted us right away. She took our order fairly quickly, but the food took forever to arrive. I checked the time from when I received the "your table is ready" text to when our food was served--it was a full 50 minutes. Fortunately, the food was good. My biscuit and gravy was a bit cold, but my husband said his food was fine and I loved my superfoods bowl! I'm hoping the slow service was just a fluke due to the holiday weekend. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant had a nice vibe, so we'll probably give it another chance!

Service was great - as expected - at this new location in Noblesville. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. This location has a waiting room which I had not seen at other locations around here. Very comfortable there. The restaurant has non ceiling tiles so a little bit on the noisy side. If you wear a hearing aid I would not recommend coming during the busy hours due to noise. Food was great as usual. They use all organic ingredients and everything is cooked properly. Plating is also very well done. I would recommend this place for a breakfast place with a more upscale feel but decent prices. Utilize online reservations to save yourself some time and join the rewards program for a birthday BOGO.

This is definitely an upscale breakfast spot--so bring your wallet! I ordered the French toast, which was just okay and didn't come with any sides. My boyfriend had the traditional breakfast, which was much better, especially the pork sausage links--they were excellent. The real standout, though, was the single serving of biscuits and gravy--absolutely delicious. The place itself is cute, and I noticed some fancy-looking drinks at other tables, though I didn't try any myself. Overall, a nice spot, but a bit pricey for what you get.

The food was fantastic. The service was fantastic. The setting was busy and bustling but comfortable. We had anticipated a wait on this Saturday so had put our name in online but, once inside, we were seated right away. We really appreciated having our own carafe of water, as we are both thirsty camels and our own carafe of coffee to get our caffeine fix. I've never understood why more restaurants don't do this?! This is so efficient for your servers and eliminates complaints about refills. Anyway, we both agreed that we would re-order our meals, although I would most definitely want to try something new. They seem to have seasonal plates and drinks that are available for a limited time. These are listed on a big chalkboard in the center of the restaurant. The menu is pretty big with a variety of food stuff. We will be back!

The food was good. I would only suggest to add more salmon inside the frittata. It was good, just had a hard time tasting the salmon as it was a small piece in the middle. I also think my moms meal should of had toasted bread and not just plain bread. She said it was good also, was just needing for her bread to be toasted. The Morning Meditation Fresh Juice I ordered was delicious. It was very refreshing and very healthy. Our server was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and sweet. The restaurant was well put together, well organized, and clean. I will be back to try more of the menu!

Fantastic omelet i was impressed even with the toast and jam and the salad was incredible.

Their Food is fantastic. Crowded on the weekends, but the wait list went quickly! I love they leave a full pot of coffee and its good. The food is in the 10-20 range and the ambiance and staff is there to serve you and make your meal experience great. Three of us all had different things everyone was happy too. We will be back!

Was about a 30 minute wait yesterday to eat here. Coffee is great as usual. Million dollar bacon was delicious. Grits were a little runny and the toast barely even toasted. Had to send the toast back but the 2nd time it was good.

Very good! Food is good. Lots of interesting things to choose from. Staff is friendly! It's an open design...so it can seem a little loud. But it's not bad at all.

The hostess was completely dismissive as take the table we give you or leave. It was my sister's birthday so we didn't have much choices if we left for a Saturday night. We sat down to order drinks and the bartender missed the mark in the Mule drink. It was all the taste of jalapeño to the point a different drink has to be ordered. So far not a good start to the night. We ordered empanadas as an appetizer and 2 were served in a plate with a side of salsa. They were very bland with no flavor in the filling. The puff pastry and the salsa were the substitute for the flavor. Entrees were Crab stuffed Salmon with Asparagus, tomato/horseradish soup with 2 cheese crostini's, 2 small crunch salads. The portions were on mark,Not too big not too small. Salmon was blackened and cooked to perfection. Salads had fresh veggies and the dressing complimented the dish. The soup is amazing however it was served more in the warm side. The server was sub par. Not too friendly, she was all business and didn't t see her much. This was the 4 time I was there and was so disappointed this time. The food was good but the service was horrible.

When Plan A Falls Through, Sometimes You Find Something Better…read moreOur original restaurant choice was closed for the month. Time for a pivot. My father-in-law works downtown Noblesville and suggested we try Bar Ellis. Little did we know, we were about to stumble into one of the best dining experiences we'd had in a long time. Walking through the door, I was immediately struck by the interior. Historic brick walls met comfortable, chic modern design. The space was warmly lit and welcoming, and fortunately, so was the team at Bar Ellis. The hostess seated us quickly, and Grant, our server, arrived moments later with drink menus and a genuine smile. Then came the real challenge: helping my non-seafood-eating wife find a gluten-free option she'd actually enjoy. After a thoughtful conversation with Grant, she made her choice. I followed, excitedly ordering the salmon BLT. "Is this one any good?" I asked. Grant's face said it all. I was in for a treat. He wasn't exaggerating. My sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The bacon was crisp and full of flavor. The bread was toasted just right, crispy but not too thick. Every element worked in harmony: the crunch of the bread, the tenderness of the salmon, the crisp bacon, all elevated by a dill mayo that tied everything together. I know it's "just" an elevated BLT. But it's the best one I've ever had. I was genuinely sad when it was over. It was one of those rare meals that left me wishing I could be hungry all over again. As we finished, I sought out the manager, Chamron. She greeted me warmly and asked how everything was. After sharing my compliments about the food and service, I asked about the story behind Bar Ellis. She smiled and told me about two sisters and a brother-in-law, a chef with a passion for exceptional food and desserts, who dreamed of creating a restaurant that was both classy and hip. Then she shared something unexpected: Bar Ellis transforms on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM to midnight. Friday features karaoke, Saturday brings live music, and the whole place shifts to a 21-and-over scene. Even the lighting changes, creating a darker, moodier atmosphere. The scratch kitchen stays open throughout, so you won't miss out on that incredible food. I'm usually too old to be out that late, but I just might need to make an exception to experience this transformed space and enjoy that delicious salmon BLT again. If you're looking for a restaurant that's genuinely cool, serves exceptional food, and employs a team that actually cares about your experience, check out Bar Ellis in downtown Noblesville. You won't regret it.

It's food and feel are clearly driven by the owners who want you to return. Ambiance: bisto feel that allows the business casual group of friends to mix with those that want to dress up a bit, but not fancy. The bar service for food is small but the attentive bartender and staff make you feel at home. The mixed drinks features specials and they were top notch. The wine list is well paired with affordable selections that are not just Cabs and Chards, lots of small family vineyard selections. The restaurant holds about 35 people. Service: not "unreasonable hospitality" service and that's great, attentive group of waiters and staff that know the menu, are concerned about your wants, and deliver with speed or an update, very solid!. Food: clean plate club food, everything hot and very well done. Special occassion dinner was Chili glazed carrots, Carpacio, Lobster Enchilda, Veal Schnitzel, and an Afagato and comped Mango Bread Pudding, two glasses of wine, and special mixed drink right at $200 plus tip. Cheap, no...worth it, 100%+. Honestly if I was a regular I'd pop in for split apps and drinks often and be perfectly satisfied, spend less, and feel welcomed. I was wondering if the seating here would be communal since they only have 9 tables and room for 35 guests but I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated at our own table in a bit of a nook created by bookcases. My girlfriend and I had plans that day to go to the Peony Festival in town but it was cancelled due to weather. There were still many beautiful peonies in the restaurant itself and in many businesses around town. We were immediately seated by the hostess and our waiter, James, came to the table to tell us about the restaurant and that they would take our entire order and then course it out for us. I love this. Being a small restaurant it was a little noisy in there but we just spoke up a bit to talk to each other. We started with a couple cocktails, mine was Mr. Rumtastic and my friend had the Coming Up Roses. Both cocktails were well made and good. I found mine a bit thick on the palate, maybe because of the coconut milk? Still the flavors were well balanced and delicious. We started our meal with the Housemade Burrata, the bottom of the plate had a pistachio butter spread across it and there was mortadella on the plate, a puffy fried dough called gnocco fritto, and a balsamic honey along side. We were instructed to put it on our plate and mix it up and see how we like it paired together. What an excellent way to start our meal. We would definitely order this again. Next up for us was the Lamb Kafta Kebabs along with the Housemade Focaccia Bread. The lamb kebabs were ground lamb skewered and grilled served over a fresh fava bean puree finished with olive oil, sumac, ramp powder, and black cumin with some thinly sliced watermelon radish. The lamb was super tender and a perfect medium cook. The focaccia bread was a good addition to this as we slathered the homemade bread with the super soft whipped herb butter. Loved the rosemary baked into the bread as it gave it a woody, herby note without overpowering it. I almost ordered the Spring Salad but I asked James if it would be going overboard and he said what we ordered he thought would be the perfect amount of food so I will save that for another day. We ordered a second cocktail, mine was the Persephone's Elixir and my friend ordered the Peonies in the Park. We both enjoyed these cocktails more than we enjoyed the first cocktails we ordered. The egg white on mine made a little frothy creamy top and I loved the slight sweetness from the vanilla syrup and the pomegranate juice. I tried my friend's cocktail and it was so refreshing, it was peony infused vodka with rhubarb liqueur with a strawberry-rhubarb shrub. Next up for us was our main dish. I ordered the Spring Ravioli and my friend ordered the Persian Chicken. My ravioli was the best pasta dish I have had in quite some time. I usually don't eat an entire entree, I usually bring half home, this one though I ate every little bit, I would have licked the plate if I were not in a nice restaurant! Housemade ravioli with a filling of sweet peas, ricotta and percorino cheese bathed in a potato veloute' with sugar snap peas, pink peppercorns, chive oil and microgreens. I would order this again tomorrow if I were to go back tomorrow. My friend loved her chicken and her baked rice as well. So even after all these food, and it was a lot, we had to go for dessert. I ordered a cup of coffee with cream along with Crunch-Dipped Peanut Butter Pie and my friend ordered the Double Scoop of Housemade Peanut-Butter and Chocolate Gelato. We enjoyed these as well. We will definitely make another trip here as the service, food, and cocktails were right on point. Thanks so much to 9th Street Bistro and I hope you have many years of success.
