Every staff member we spoke with from beginning to end was so pleasant and helpful. The open concept of this restaurant elevates the space. Lots of windows for natural light and super spacious. The food was delicious as always. I was thrilled to see they had biscuit and TURKEY sausage gravy on the menu. As someone who does not eat pork, I'm never able to enjoy this dish as most places incorporates it into this dish. So this was very refreshing and I absolutely enjoyed every bite! Also loved that they leave the coffee pot on the table. No more waving down your waiter for a refill. Lol For the quality and portions of food, the pricing per entree is so affordable. Another good thing about First Watch is you're able to pay your bill via Apple Pay. Just scan the QR code on your bill, pay and go. I stopped by the First Watch in Pembroke Pines to try their seasonal menu, and it did not disappoint. I ended up trying all the seasonal items, and every single one was a hit. The BTL sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. the tomato tasted fresh, and everything came together really well. The blueberry lemon cornbread was honestly a standout: moist, slightly sweet, and that lemony brightness made it feel special without being overwhelming. I could eat that every day. To top it off, the Pineapple Express drink was refreshing and light, the perfect complement to brunch. Not too sweet and super tropical -- exactly what you want. At first I felt overwhelmed because As soon as we entered three employees approached us and were all talking at the same time. I got to my seat upset because was all that necessary at 9:00 am with no coffee in my system?! lol Soon after our waitress came to our table. I started with the hot coffee they serve at the table, in my opinion it wasn't that great but I didn't have high expectations for the free coffee they offer. I then ordered the honey caramel crunch iced coffee and I thought it was good. My boyfriend ordered an iced cold brew coffee and he did not like the taste at all. He told our waitress about it and she recommended another option. He liked the recommendation better than what he ordered at first. Our waitress was attentive and our food came out fast. I tried an item from their fall menu the honey chipotle chicken hash and this was delicious and a big portion. I would come back every fall season just for this item! We also tried the carrot cake and pecan pancake, this was soooo delicious.I had never seen this option before and I'm glad I tried it! This is a great location for breakfast dates and family gatherings. Usually there is a line going out the door but we were lucky when we went on Sunday and we got right in. Last time I was there, over a year ago, I was disappointed by the time it took to get service and the food, although it was clean! The food was salty enough to be inedible and by the time they paid enough attention to rectify it, my companion had completely finished their meal. I declined another choice. By that time, I lost my appetite! They did take that off the bill and gave me a $5 coupon towards another visit which was redeemed today. Went today with a family member because of proximity and time constraints, hoping for a better experience. We were not disappointed. On my recent visit here I decided to go with their 2 for You in which you can get your choice of two of the following: A half sandwich, A cup of soup or a 1/2 salad. I decided to get the tomato basil soup which was mmm so good and the half Cobb salad. All I can say is if that was a half salad I can only imagine how big the full size salad is. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my friend who got the 2 for You with the half Monterey club sandwich and tomato soup also really enjoyed her meal. Ordering was a breeze but I did not receive what I ordered. I asked for The Purple Haze and The Traditional Breakfast with chicken sausage and gluten free toast. I received The Purple Haze and it was refreshing. I received pork sausage and no toast. The chicken sausage eventually came. But the gluten free toast never made it after 3 persons said they would bring it. Definitely unfortunate. I received my check before I received the to go box or toast. This is my first time in a while coming to First Watch and I remember it being a lot better. We got on the waitlist about 20 mins before and only waited like 10 mins when we got there. The service was honestly very good but the food was ok. I got the avocado toast and it was good but not the best I've had. Tasted the ham and Gruyère melt and pancakes and they were also ok. We also had the biscuits and gravy and we didn't like them at all we thought maybe the gravy was old. We did let the waiter know and he kindly removed from our bill. We felt bad but it was that bad. My first recommendation is to make reservations for the waitlist and make sure to check in after making them or else your waiting your time because the lines are super long and if you don't check in and just join the list you aren't really in line. So I put a maybe for recommendation because it depends on what is the most important aspect of dining to you. The staff were all very professional and considerate. The tables and floors etc all looked clean. Now when we get to the food, it really just depends on your culture, in my culture their food is not to standard seeing that multiple items were bland, dry when they should not be, or not cooked to order according to request. So I gave the food a two stars then added a star for great service. They did have fresh quality ingredients though, they just don't execute the preparation well. Now usually I do nothing but sing praises for First Watch. However today I was not happy with one of the items I ordered. I'd placed a pick-up order for my son and I which consisted of The Trifecta, Kids Bacon and Eggs and a Cranberry Crush drink. Upon arriving, I'd advised the young lady that I wanted both drinks with no ice. When I received my order, is when the issue came in. I asked the young lady, "surely this isn't the drink that I paid $4.79 for, correct?". She looked and said no, it should be bigger. She said I'll just bring you another that's that size. I then said, "please with no ice". She then says "oh that's why it' s that size. When it has no ice they put it in a smaller cup." I didn't debate it, I just left. Please see picture below for size reference. That is my cranberry crush drink next to my son's kids' orange juice that came with his meal. So basically, what I gathered from this exchange today, is that First Watch is ripping people off. You can have the regular size cup that the juice is supposed to come in as long as you allow them to fill it up with 50-60% ice and the rest juice. Or you can opt to request no ice and receive a kiddie cup. Either way the amount of juice received is not worth the $4.79 that is being charged. The size of my cup should not be determined by whether or not I ask for ice. I'd like to mention that this has never happened at any other First Watch location when I request my juice with no ice.
