    Fruity pebble French toast
    Erika H.

Came here for breakfast Saturday morning and it was jam packed. I wish this location would take reservations since the inside is small. We got lucky and got seated quickly. We started with iced coffee. I wasn't a fan but I would try the hot coffee next time. We then had the fruity pebble French toast. The hype was real with this item and it's huge. Finally we shared the brisket bowl and secret lemonade. The brisket bowl was even better than the fruity pebble French toast. I would definitely come back Just to try another brisket item. The secret lemonade was good, but not something I would order again. Overall we loved our meals and I can't Walt to come back and try the lunch items next time.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast luckily they were able to sit us quickly. The place is very tiny and by the time we were done it was already crowded. The food was ok...I enjoyed the grits and home fries. The omelette was ok but would have been better if I switched the cheese to cheddar. I was disappointed with the pancake, it was really large but dry and thin. I did like the fact that the food is made fresh to order though. If in the area would probably give them another shot

This is our amazing server Andrew, if you go ask for him.

If there's one breakfast spot you need to check out, it's The Hen & The Hog. Every time we drove past, the line was out the door, so we finally decided to stop in for brunch--and now we know why it's always packed. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and bacon, and it was absolutely amazing. My husband went with the Smashburger and house fries, and he loved every bite. Our server Andrew was awesome--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The host staff was just as great: welcoming, helpful, and clearly running a tight ship. While we were there, I couldn't help but notice all the food coming out to other tables. The pancakes, breakfast bowls, and everything else looked incredible. Great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere--this place definitely lives up to the hype.

I'm Being Generous Because I'm Feeling Merciful. Thursday morning in Hollywood, Florida. Sun out. Expectations low but hopeful. What I got instead was a brunch experience that felt like it was catered by a support group for defeated condiments. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was less "welcoming brunch haven" and more "mandatory staff meeting after a corporate downsizing." Every face looked like someone had just canceled Christmas. No energy. No warmth. Just a collective sadness hovering over the dining room like humidity. We waited 35 minutes for a table. Not at peak Sunday madness. Thursday. And not a "sorry for the wait, we'll take care of you." Just... waiting. Existing. Aging. Let's talk food. I ordered avocado toast. What arrived was not avocado toast. It was what I can only assume was premashed supermarket paste, the kind sold in bulk tubs at a discount warehouse. No texture. No brightness. No seasoning. Just green matter applied to bread like drywall compound. It tasted like someone described avocado to a machine and the machine got bored halfway through. The waffle? Arrived cold. Not warm-ish. Not "let it sit too long." Cold. The fruit portion was microscopic--three decorative pieces placed with the confidence of someone billing by the berry. And yes, they were happy to charge for it. Cold waffle. Extra charge fruit. That's not brunch. That's audacity. Drinks? Watered-down Pepsi products. I don't even dislike Pepsi on principle, but when it tastes like it survived a hurricane of melted ice, we have a problem. I asked for water. It never came. Not once. No check-in. No recovery. No "how is everything?" Because that would require interest. There is literally nothing good about this place. Not the food. Not the service. Not the mood. They don't serve comfort. They don't serve quality. They serve matter. Plain matter. Temperature optional. Two stars because technically it exists and the building is standing. If you enjoy cold waffles, green paste, and existential despair with your brunch--this is your cathedral. I don't need apologies. I need a refund and a time machine.

I came here early on a weekday morning after a doctor appointment and was surprised how quickly this place filled up! It felt cozy inside and we got served fairly quickly. I ordered the chicken and waffles which were good but soo filling! I definitely want to come back here next time I'm in the area.

The food was delicious!! I had to revisit this time I had the chicken and waffles . Waffles were crispy outside soft n lite on the inside. The chicken was fried perfectly n well seasoned . A+ The waitress. Was attentive and very knowledgeable with the menu and offered great suggestions on fan favorites. Only critique.i have is the place itself is small ( dining area) kind feels like your sitting on top of each other. But that's because the food is excellent and it's also packed . So it's definitely worth it a lil elbow intrusion ‍

I had never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast before. It was certainly a unique experience that I enjoyed. The icing on top was so good. They were pretty busy but got our food out fairly quickly. Even though it was still morning, I appreciate them accommodating my request for fries even though it was on the lunch menu and not lunch time yet. The decor throughout the restaurant really fit with the vibe.

The location is quaint and cozy with a charming farmhouse-style ambiance. Indoor seating is limited and a bit tight, but the service is fast and the staff is very friendly. I came across this spot on TikTok and decided to try it with a friend--overall, it was a great experience. I ordered the lychee mimosa, which was good but could have used a bit more lychee juice. For food, I had the loaded grits bowl and waffles. Since everything is made fresh, there is a short wait, but our food arrived in about 15 minutes. The loaded grits bowl was delicious and very filling, generously packed with meat and peppers, and the grits were cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the breakfast plate, which was tasty overall--the standout item was the chicken sausage. The waffle, however, was slightly overcooked and had a crunchy texture. Overall, I'd rate this place a solid 4 out of 5.

I believe this is a scratch kitchen. The food is comfort food from the South. I have really enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the grits. The loaded grits are a meal of their own. They have good biscuits here. The service has been good every time. Lala does a great job. The ambiance is a bit crowded and busy, but it's worth it for the food. They have lychee mimosas here. I haven't tried them yet, but I am looking forward to trying them next time.

Came across the Hen and the hog after searching breakfast spots and wow the reviews def. Lived up to the hype .. highly recommend. Lala the waitress was amazing and super friendly and when asked what she preferred etc . The place is small and super packed with good reasoning , give it a try! Can't wait to be back to try different foods .

Sausage, egg and cheese biscuit that fell apart

I keep hearing how good this place is but i dont see it. The staff was very good and friendly. Ordered a simple sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. I put strawberry jelly inside the top half and tried to hold and eat it and the top just disinegrated in my hands. I dont have this problem with mcds biscuits, which i think are excellent. This was really bad, had to eat it with a knife and fork. Also had a pancake which was decent. Doubt i would return

Small spot with great food. Been there twice, both times food and service were solid. First time (food not pictured) we had eggs benedict with grits and the chicken and waffles. Amazing chicken and waffles, crisp and tasty. It was full so we sat outside but it was fine. Second time (food pictured) we had shrimp and grits and the pulled pork platter. Amazing for both. Definitely going back when in Hollywood. Menu has various options all worthy of a try.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the food is exactly what you want when you're craving elevated Southern comfort. The standout for me was the shrimp and grits, and here's the best part: they don't include sausage. As someone who prefers shrimp and grits without the heaviness or extra spice from sausage, this was a huge win. The dish is creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, letting the shrimp and the grits shine on their own. Absolutely delicious. Everything else I tried was fresh and well-seasoned, and the service was warm and attentive throughout the meal. They really surprised me,

The restaurant offers à la cart menu as well as kbbq where you get to grill your own meat. We have been there several times because it is so close by where we live. The hospitality is nice and the servers are always so friendly and welcoming. But for our experiences, the food quality, consistency, and the flavor was just not there. The Prime K BBQ family seems like truly genuine people. You should check it out to support their business! As far as the taste goes, it was not to our expectation. A lot of room for growth and maybe if they can push out consistency in taste, they have potential in the future! This restaurant is located in a plaza that offers plenty of parking spaces.

My husband has a very sensitive stomach, so he's usually the reason I can't go out for KBBQ as often as I'd like -- but surprisingly his stomach did really well here! So now I'm thinking this might become a more regular spot for us lol. I also love that it's not overly busy and the staff will actually cook the food for you if you want. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to do the grilling myself or leave smelling like BBQ, so that's a huge plus. Also -- not on the menu but if you can get the egg custard, DO IT. One of my favorite things there! Definitely recommend if you're looking for solid KBBQ without the chaos.
