I wrote this letter to the GM, Shanetta Franklin and received no response: I am writing to formally document an unacceptable experience at your First Watch location on January 30 at approximately 11:40 a.m. This incident is particularly concerning as it represents the second time we have experienced significant service failures at this location. On a prior visit, we waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. During our most recent visit, we again experienced excessive delays. My husband and I waited over an hour for our food, while multiple tables that arrived after us were served before we were, with no explanation provided. We asked our server, Desiree, to check on the delay and specifically requested that the manager, Nelson, come to our table. We personally observed the interaction between Desiree and Nelson, during which our request was clearly communicated. Despite this, Nelson never came to speak with us. Instead, we observed him assisting guests who arrived after us, while completely disregarding our table. After more than an hour with no food, no communication, and no management acknowledgment, we decided to leave. As we were exiting, my husband calmly stated that we could no longer continue waiting. Nelson ignored him entirely and walked away, which was unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable. Given that this was our second negative experience, we chose not to eat at your restaurant at all and instead left to dine at a different local restaurant. While delays can occur, ignoring guests--especially after a direct request to speak with management--is unacceptable under any circumstances. This situation could have been resolved with basic communication. Instead, it escalated due to a clear lack of leadership and accountability on the floor. This experience fell far below the service standards First Watch promotes. I expect this matter to be reviewed and addressed appropriately. read more

Great spot for breakfast! Went on a Sunday and had to wait around 30 minutes for 2, which was totally fine! Service from Hayward was fantastic and what we ate was so good too. The food is delicious! If I remember correctly, I ordered the inspired italian and it was great. The outside is egg and the inside has peppers and sausage, and it's seasoned well. The bread on the side came pre-buttered and they provided what tasted like jelly to spread on it and it complimented the meal well. I ordered a cup of fruits on the side and it had pineapples, blueberries, and grapes, and cantaloupes. I wanted to sit outside and they were really accommodating and friendly at the front desk and just cleaned up a table to allow me to sit there. I would definitely recommend you come here for a meal. However, the only downside is that my server didn't really care to check up. She came to give the food and give the receipt. No random checking in to see if i'm good or enjoying the food as the waitress who was serving the table next to us did. Asked for utensils they forgot to put in the bag and my the works omelette has sour cream they also forgot it . Disappointed! They need to check the orders better . First Watch is my favorite restaurant in Pembroke Pines. It's a reliable spot for breakfast or lunch. When friends visit from out of town, I know they will find something delicious to eat there, which is why I take them. Our first time back in over a year! The "community" table is now being used to store pick up orders off to the side and the other tables in the dining room are spaced out. We noticed that they no longer leave a bowl of sugar and creamer on the table but will bring you individual bowls filled with creamers and sugars if you order coffee. We were seated in the little alcove off to the side and were thinking that we were going to be forgotten. We noticed that they had taken 2 tables out of there which made it nice and spacious in that corner. We lucked out with Emily who was really awesome and checked on us often to make sure we were okay. I got an email a couple of months ago showcasing their Purple Haze drink and described it as having a "hint" of lavender. I love the color purple and had to try it, lol. It took a couple of sips to get used to because the lavender flavor was more than a "hint" but it was actually pretty good! My husband who usually doesn't like flavored drinks ended up drinking most of it. My husband's blueberry multigrain pancake was HUGE! The side of potatoes and onions were flavorful and delicious! I usually douse my potatoes in ketchup but didn't need to do that. My Floridian French Toast looked different than in the past but was still yummy. I love how their fruit is so fresh! Since we were there fairly early in the morning, I felt pretty comfortable with the social distancing when it was time to pay. I love first watch and this was my first time visiting this location. We got seated quickly as we joined the waitlist beforehand, which I think is one of the best features of this restaurant. Our server was great, very attentive, and patient with our special requests. The eggs Benedict were great well cooked and tasty. What can I say about First Watch. I like it but don't love it. It's overrated imo. It's the kind of place I go to only if/when someone else wants to go for some reason. I've tried several things on both their breakfast and lunch menus so I've given it a fair chance. I'm still not blown away like I thought I would be considering the super long waits and the prices. Honestly I enjoy Cracker Barrel's breakfast more and it's 1/3 of the cost. The one thing I will say is great is the Belgian waffle & the million dollar bacon. Love the waffle. I also like the Morning Mediation drink. It's beets, lemon, orange, turmeric and ginger and it's very refreshing. I've had the kale tonic but it's not for me. Everything else I have had is...meh. First Watch - the place where I had my last supper. Or more accurate, our last meal dining in a restaurant prior lockdown thanks to coronavirus. On a Saturday, we added ourselves on the Yelp app's waitlist. When we arrived, we waited a maximum of five minutes. Truth is this waitlist saved us and I definitely recommend it to all. Once sat, we were provided with menus. Right away, we knew what we wanted to drink. I went for standard coffee, while my boyfriend ordered a seasonal drink on their menu: the Blue Booster. There was a bit of an issue with the Blue Booster. Apparently they ran out of some of the base for it only for the manager to find out that there was some sent to them from the Hollywood store. Thanks to that, my boyfriend managed to have his seasonal drink. He enjoyed it immensely. I took a sip of it and passed on it. Way too tart for my liking. In terms of food, we went for the Chickichanga and the market hash. The Chickichanga is apparently a First Watch original. It consists of whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, onions and avocado, all rolled up into a flour tortilla. You also have sides of fruit and potatoes. Really though - let's call a spade a spade. Chickichanga, you are heaven sent! Not to say that my market hash wasn't tasty, but I much preferred my boyfriend's dish and it took all my willpower to not fight him over it. My market hash was composed of two cage-free eggs atop seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted mozzarella and herbed goat cheese. It came with a side of whole grain artisan toast. For this meal, I had been asked how I wanted my eggs and I said over easy. Let me tell you that they did this just right. It was gorgeous seeing the fork go into the egg, breaking it apart, and having some goo all over the hash. Yum. My only regret is that I couldn't finish my food, but honestly that's a many splendid thing. It means the portions are massive and well worth their price. Will definitely go again, but next time... eyes on you Chickichanga. Or maybe pancakes? We will see! read more

Had an early dentist appointment and decided to grab a bite here since it's been a while. Always loved First Watch for the health options but always because the food is well prepared. I highly suggest joining the waitlist to avoid a long wait time, it gets pack quickly. As soon as you want in you're greeted by the hostess that are super friendly and welcoming. As you look around everyone is smiling and enjoying their breakfast. Such a calm and peaceful ambiance every time I come here. Since it's been a while my boyfriend was undecided on what he wanted to get apart from his go to. Our waiter was so nice and patient and even recommended some items. She's definitely good at what she does because she recommended his favorite things lol. To start I got the Spiked Lavender lemonade which I loved and presentation was so cute. It definitely isn't too strong just enough for a good brunch vibe. Also got the Honey Caramel crunch ice coffee, I loveeeed it. The toffee crumble on top was the star. I got to eat my go to meal here, the Farm stand breakfast taco. The chicken and chorizo compliment each other so well and I add some cholula hot sauce and it becomes even better!! Love ,love, love this place!! I've been wanting to come here everytime I come to Broward. We finally made it for breakfast and made reservations for the wait online( I highly recommend). When we arrived we still had to wait a little. Place is so popular it was a revolving door. Every table was filled. When we finally sat we ordered a round of coffee for everyone and 2 bloodymarys. Bloodymarys came dressed with crisp bacon and water came in a vintage bottle. Loved that. We were a family of 8 including 2 birthday kids. The menu was fabulous and even had lunch options available to please everyone's craving. I had the avocado toast on gluten free bread and a side of turkey sausages. Kids had chocolate chip pancakes with bacon and eggs with toast and bacon. Both came with a side of fruit. Around the table we had 2 parma skillets hash (Italian flavors and spices and cheese), a skillet hash market (veggies), a superfood kale salad (amazing flavors and a MUST HAVE) and the traditional breakfast with wggs,bacon, toast, and potatoes. Dead silence at our table, even the kids. When I tell you Everything was good, I really mean everything was good. We would have it all again with no regrets. I have been coming here for years but no longer will after my last visit. Horribly staffed with teenagers leading the place, running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Rolling their eyes and trying to blame the customers. Multiple guests were shocked by the audacity and lack of training of the staff. One of the waitresses even refused to give her name for a review, knowing she did a horrible job. Doesn't help that the only manager on duty is the one in the kitchen "Ozzie". Horrible customer service when he finally had time to speak to us. For some reason the server was rushed even though the restaurant was pretty empty on a Friday about 10:30 am. Overall the food is good. We do recommend and we will be coming back. read more

One of my best friends has always told me how great First Watch is. So I decided to catch up with a friend today for brunch at this restaurant. And I must say I was not disappointed. I utilized the waitlist option that was on their website, so as soon as I arrived I was seated immediately. Our waitress was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable of the menu items. She gave a great suggestion on trying the morning meditation, and I was in love with it. The sweetness of the agave, the tanginess of the ginger and turmeric juice made it a refreshing drink. I ordered the frittata rustica and it was so filling and flavorful. My friend enjoyed her multi grain pancakes with potatoes, eggs, and sausage. Let me say that I luv OTHER First Watch locations, especially West Palm Beach by the outlets!! But Lauderdalehill is a NO GO. I've come here since they opened a few years ago, way prior to the pandemic. I keep trying to give them a chance because I luv the food, I can only come here without my hubs because he refuses after the horrible kitchen/management service the last 2 x. Today I sat at the community table now that it's open again, only one seated there. Waited a few to order, no biggie. 1 drink and avocado toast, easy peasy. People being sat all around me and ordering...it wasn't until the table with 3 people that sat AFTER me that ordered MAJOR food and mine still wasnt there did I get perturbed. I understand shit happens, if this was the 1st or even 2nd time this has happened I wouldn't be taking the time out to write this, but its 12pm on Tuesday. And don't gimme any lip about staffing issues...I work retail, I know exactly what's going on and there's plenty of workers in here, this is poor management.
