Amazing food, but will NEVER understand how a place named "First Watch" could open so late...

We had brunch today and everyone was pleased with their meals. I had an omelet and it came with a salad. Nice addition to bring down the calories of a meal. The potatoes looked yummy but too much for me. Our server was nice and she didn't miss a beat. I like the water pitchers and coffee pots so you can serve yourself. It was very busy at 11 am, which tells me people like it. Also, pay by QR code was nice instead of waiting for a server to run 6 different credit cards. read more

Exceptional Brunch. The steak and eggs hash with that parmesan cream sauce was delightful. My bride says her eggs Benedict was best she's had in years, and that's saying something from her! Our cocktails were so yummy. Our waitress was fantastic attentive and patient as we admired the comprehensive menu. It's a terrific breakfast restaurant ambiance bright not too crowded, new modern, and fun art work to enjoy. We're going back for sure. read more

As is typical for me, I like to wait until I have visited a place twice before I review. In this case, that was a very good idea, because my first visit to First Watch was not great. The food was bleh (though not terrible) and I really wasn't planning on going back unless someone invited me. Well, someone invited me and so I went back, though with very low expectations. I am very grateful for this visit, but it was excellent!!! I don't remember what I got the first time -- obviously forgettable. But this time I got the Million Dollar Harvest Hash and it was so delicious! The potatoes were perfectly cooked, as was the bacon and eggs (I got basted eggs). The combinations of the crimini mushrooms, kale and monterey jack, goat cheese, lemon-dressed arugula, and Mike's Hot Honey was like a party in my mouth. I ate lunch with a co-worker and he got the Chile Chorizo Omelet. He loved it! So great food and presentation over all. The staff as very friendly, though our server wasn't overly friend or bubbly. She was very focused on the work and I felt like my request for whipped cream for my coffee was an annoyance to her. Maybe she had lots of tables or just having a rough day. But, it wasn't a overly friendly service. That said, everything arrived on time and as ordered. The ambiance is comfortable and not too loud, even though the place was packed for lunch. All in all a great experience. The reason for the 4-star? Well, I can't help think of my first experience being about a 2-star at best. A dull experience. Also, the waitress doing her job, but not more than that. And the coffee is just gross. Watered down. Tasteless. There are some great coffee shops in NWA. Why can't they do business with one of them and have great coffee?! For those reasons, I took off a star. Recommended. I will return. I look forward to it. read more

We had a party of 6 arriving around 9:45 and seated fairly promptly. Service was excellent as we had a variety of breakfast orders. Overall we gave the food a solid 9 out of 10. We will definitely return. read more

The coffee here is excellent, and the fruit juices are just as amazing! I tried the seasonal pumpkin pancake breakfast, which was good, but I have to say the chocolate chip pancakes are still my favorite. Definitely a great spot for a tasty brunch! read more

I ordered the sunrise granola bowl-unsweetened vanilla Greek yogurt with granola, and seasonal fruit served with a muffin on the side. Muffin was cold, stuck to the paper wrapper. Let's start with the definition of fried eggs over medium. They should not be more raw then sunny side up. Disappointing first visit to this place. I am tired of the excuse that we have some new cooks in the kitchen. Why are they there when food safety should be a concern. Why? No- they did not make it better or fix the situation ( unless the buy one get one free entree was fixing the situation). The place seems really nice otherwise. Our service was the best! Keeley seated us right away, explained the menu, as it was our first time, and took our order right away. The food was served quickly. Went here with my husband for the first time after church and only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Our server was super friendly, food was egg-cellent, and the place was very clean. I had the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which was yummy and filling. Love their potatoes (they have onions)! Husband had the Traditional Breakfast with an extra egg. There is a healthier choice of a breakfast. There are options and everything is so good. The only thing I did not enjoy was the churros they weren't what we are use to from been crunchy and that taste on the batter. I am from NWA but now live on the west coast. When I come home, I always go to the same places that my family is used to going. Now that I'm more involved with Yelp, I used it to search for a brunch spot nearby when I got into town and found First Watch! They had some really good reviews plus I was surprised by how many healthy options they had on their brunch menu. A lot of reviews talked about having long waits here, but my mom and I came on a Friday morning around 9am and were seated right away. I loved their Yelp sign that you see right when you walk in! The space is very open and has nice farmhouse style decor. There is a nice patio outside that is in a shaded area as well. They brought out a tall bottle of water as well as a pitcher of hot coffee so we could refill each whenever we wanted which I was a big fan of. I got the ham and gruyère omelet which came with toast and a side salad (subbed for a cup of fruit). My mom got the traditional breakfast and subbed the potatoes for grits. Our food was served in a timely manner and we thought everything was delicious! My omelet had a ton of ham inside but not enough cheese, I wish the gruyère had been mixed in with the ham more instead of just placed on top of the omelet. It was still really good though! Portion sizes were perfect as well and we felt like we were well attended by the staff the entire time. I enjoyed my brunch here and am glad to have tried a new place in NWA! read more

This place could use a manager! Used to be a geeat stop for breakfast or lunch. Completly fallen apart now. Bad service, had to send soup back, it was cold and still congealed. It came back with only a half the bowl, but since no one was really waiting on us we couldn't even mention it. The other meal was not hot but edible. Bus boys were a hoot to watch. We arrived for breakfast around 11am on a Saturday morning. It was busy but we didn't have to wait to sit. Our waiters Cesia was great! She was very attentive and made watched the table to make sure we always had full glasses. The Farmhouse hash was really great. I'm not sure where they get their tomatoes from but they provided all the taste and goodness that the meal needed. The potatoes, onions, avocado, eggs...everything was great! The fruit was fresh, which is also a plus. I'd definitely return and get this exact same meal. We were sat at a table that had ants on it. We never addressed it and smashed them and moved on. Our server Brighton didn't greet us and just asked if we were ready when we have been sat down a minute before. Ordered drinks, she brought them back and then sat the glasses and water on the table without filling them. Rudely asked if we were ready to order. Placed our order. Food took some time but that was ok. Our food finally arrived and one order had not arrived... after 5+minute Brighton asked if everything was good. Informed her that an order was missing and brushed us off saying it should be coming. Didn't say she would check on it or any kind of assistance... food arrived 10+ minutes later. I always order a hash and a juice and am never disappointed! The wait is usually long on the weekends but the food is really good.

This place is a hit or miss for me on most occasions but I would give it 3.5 stars if possible. Food- good, service- ranges from eh to great... I absolutely loved the watermelon juice drink I had and the coffee was pretty good. The bacon "app" they have is very delicious but know that it's 4 pieces for that price. My main breakfast/brunch dish was okay but nothing amazing. I would return but would not be in my top 5 choices for brunch or breakfast in NWA. read more

Service was great and servingsizes were massive, but I have a few complaints. It might be because I'm a little country hic and not their geared rich stuck up audience but the food made me feel the dispare of the chickens and plagued the egg I ate. However according to the menus the chickens free range . It just doesn't taste like my own free range eggs. And didn't feel like the hometown diner ambiance the restaurant claims it goes for. P.S the water tasted like well water and reminded me of drinking from a hose. read more
