Great food and lovely service. I treated myself to a fancy purple juice and a granola bowl with chia seeds and tons of fresh fruit. Divine! My kids (4 & 6) had the chocolate chip pancake with bacon/sausage. The pancake was bigger than their face and they could have easily shared one. I absolutely loved this restaurant!!! We went on a Friday morning it was a nice crowd but not too busy. We were able to sit down right away and we are a family of 5. I loved the diversity of the menu. There were so many different options from healthy food to fattening foods lol. My husband ordered French toast by itself. He's pescatarian, which was the only thing there wasn't seafood offered as side for breakfast. My daughter ordered grilled cheese with fruit and my son ordered French toast with bacon. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes with the million dollar bacon!! We were not disappointed!!!! On my first visit to first watch I didn't have a good experience, it took a while before I even got coffee or any other service and I was sitting next to the kitchen, the chili chorizo omelette I ordered was not quite as how it was described on the menu, I feel there were some ingredients missing mainly chorizo, After making the observation to the server, she was very nice and apologetic, and wanted to comp my meal. Today I went back for breakfast, again it took at least 10 min to get someone to ask if I had been taken care of, The host I believe her name is Stephanie walked in from the parking lot with another server, it was my perception that the host had to go and pick up the server because the restaurant looked understaffed, and she wasn't there when I arrived. As they quickly started helping guest the host saw me and offered me something to drink and take my order, then another server came to my attention and asked if everything was okay, when I told her I had been waiting for 10 min she had a negative reaction towards me to the point it was persisted by the rest of the staff they all came to apologize even the general manager, who also wanted to comp my food, I told her I did not want my food to be comped I'd rather just get a very tasty breakfast. As you can see by my picture the food was delicious very well served on time and I had enough coffee to keep me going for the rest of the day. As a restaurateur I can understand what it is to run a restaurant while understaffed, but it only takes a couple of good employees like the host of this restaurant who sits people, cleans tables, brings coffee and takes my order all at the same time. I must say that I had higher expectations of this restaurant. Due to Covid, the place was packed. We opted to sit outside on the patio. Every patio table seemed to have a very noticeable unfixable wobble. After waiting a really long time to get service. There were a couple of attempts to deliver the wrong food to our table. By the time our food actually got there the order was only 50% correct. They were kind enough to make our mistake meal to go. I really hope this restaurant gets it together! There is nothing to eat in this town and there are too many locations to compare it to. read more

Great place to start your morning! I love coming here for brunch with my family and friends. Great service with a really good menu. I have never once not liked the food all the times I have been here. My favorite drink is the morning meditation which really helps me jumpstart my day! I've experienced everything from grit soup , to cold grits that were never warm as evident by the perfectly intact cheese shreds. We were visiting relatives here and got last minute reservation and able to seat 5. Servers and bar staff friendly and helpful with menu and wine selections. Appetizers and salads came out promptly and were even better than described on the menu. Many choices for entrees- my grouper was divine. I have always liked First Watch. They have unusual, healthy food as well as wonderful comfort food. When they opened in Winter Haven I was thrilled, it was a touch of the "big city" but very accessible. Today was no different. The breakfast I enjoyed at lunch time was just as good as I expected but our server made it even better. Krysten went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed. While checking on us she took the time to talk and share a little about herself; that extra step doesn't usually happen especially since we are about 50 years older than she is. We went for lunch on the third day of the official opening and were impressed with the food and service for such a new restaurant. The wait staff know their stuff and the menu offers a nice selection of breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the half sandwich and soup combination, a perfect size for lunch, that came hot to our table. Look forward to breakfast soon. Parking in the back is convenient. Beverages served without straws is a plus for environmental reasons. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a section of one wall painted with three women performing at a water ski show under the words Winter Haven, a homage to Cypress Gardens. During peak lunch time, the noise level was "vibrant" due to all the interior hard surfaces. For me, First Watch is a welcome addition to Winter Haven. read more

Arrived at 10:30am to get the smoked salmon frittata and potatoes! It was 1120 when I finally got my food! As a different waitress came to hand me the food I asked why it took so long! She replied "it has been taking awhile plus we have new employees". This would be easily understandable if it was communicated that there was going to be a few minutes due to that delay!
