Good, but loud and hovering. I don't know, I've been twice and while the food is delicious, everything else is a bit much. When new people come in and sit down, they yell "table four sat" so everyone can hear. The kitchen is yelling at the servers "order up" even though they are standing right there waiting. The food is always good. It's like a little diner. It is fast paced for workers to get to work then it slows the pace and becomes a place to enjoy you'll see friends meeting there. Many come from the doctor you'll see the blood test wrapper. It still gets those orders out and the patrons in and out quickly but you can see the regulars linger over the coffee. The mac and cheese (as a side item) was a great option for kids--mild in flavor with soft, long noodles. I do wish I had gone with the mashed potatoes instead--they were incredibly flavorful and honestly stole the show. The soup was hearty, with rice, peas, corn, and what I believe were chunks of turkey. It was very flavorful--slightly salty, but still enjoyable. The large apple juice was not refillable, but it was a good portion and satisfying. Overall, a 5/5 experience--great prices, generous portions, and comforting, homemade-style flavors. read more

After living here 6 years thought it was time to go to Egg Haven. I was not disappointed. Both of us got breakfast and will admit it was pretty damn fast receiving our order. Pick 6 and a western omelette was the choice of the day. Bacon was over cooked but that was the only thing bad about our meal. Service was extremely fast and taste was excellent. How have I not written a review of Egg Haven? I love this place. I come here about once a week. When I host meetings near my office, this is always the place that I recommend people check out. It's so good. I haven't ordered anything bad here. They have a great range of breakfast items. Their biscuits and gravy are some of the best around. I'm also a big fan of their monte cristo. My Aunt and Uncle meet me here often. They love the spaghetti, Salisbury steak, and stuffed peppers. The soups are also really good. Service here is fast and friendly. It isn't always easy to get a seat, especially during snowbird season, but it's worth the wait. Prices are super reasonable. read more

Dined at Egg Haven this morning for the first time and enjoyed breakfast. The place was packed inside because it was cold out but there was one corner booth available and I was quickly seated. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy after reading other yelp reviews and I added an egg scrambled with cheese. It was all yummy and the food came quickly. The cheese was not reallly melty on my eggs - they topped the scramble with shredded cheddar. However it was tasty so it is not really a complaint. Coffee was as expected - I added sugar and creamer. Waitress was very nice and brought me a to go cup of coffee before I left. Highly recommend. I will be back. read more

After reading so many Yelp reviews, we had to check this place out. Walked into a crowded and cozy little breakfast joint. We were greeted immediately by a super friendly lady who brought our drinks very quickly. She took our orders and our food appeared almost by magic...nearly immediately! We got a little naughty and ordered their cinnamon roll. Holy cow, was it delicious! Then, boom, the rest of our food. Eggs, pancakes, grits, biscuits and gravy...it was all superb. Was in Winter Haven for A Charlotte Crusher Baseball tournament and decided to go site seeing. Stopped at a little restaurant, Egg Haven ( play on Winter Haven). I had the Western Omelet & grits, and biscuits & gravy for husband. We had a great waitress, food was delicious fresh and hot! The restaurant was very busy, but everyone was getting seated and served quickly. We were lucky to sit out on the patio. I hesitated because it is difficult to find a really good - even acceptable- Reuben anywhere. I tried it and it was delicious. Egg Haven is a busy but very quick all day breakfast joint with kind servers and tasty food. The diner itself is tight but it's usually what you expect at places like this. Our server was kind and got our orders in and out quickly. We had some great French toast and delicious pancakes. If you have some Mickey Mouse fans, they offer a Mickey pancake for the kiddos which our children enjoyed. I neglected to leave a review when I was here months ago, but having stayed in this area between Tampa and Orlando this is the only place to get decent, no excellent breakfast in this area. Unless you have the bad taste to go to IHOP then you might as well defrost breakfasts at home. I had the pork chop breakfast which was moist and perfectly done. When we first moved to Winter Haven, we had hardly nothing out in place in our new mansion community. Everything was still in boxes including all our kitchen appliances, dishes and pots and pans. I love cooking but again, everything was packed. So we decided to drive for a place to eat. As we were driving around, getting to know many business places. We ran into this restaurant but the place was closed. So on the following Saturday, we decided to treat ourselves and look for a morning breakfast restaurant but nothing was open until we thought of this place. So we dropped by and the restaurant was open. we came in, and man. This restaurant has great service, good delicious food and all I kept hearing, was the people enjoying themselves and eating good food. Our first time here while visiting, not many options in the area and this one was so highly rated so we figured why not give it a go. Called a head to see what the wait time would be like, the girl on the phone was physically unable to give an estimate, first red flag. We arrive I put our name down and the wait wasn't very long maybe 20min max. The menu was large and food smelled great. The waitress was also very kind but the seating is silly, tables are small and the place looks dirty. Our food arrived and my plate had a gray curly hair hanging off the side of the biscuit & gravy, second red flag. When I walked to the restroom I had a view of the kitchen, didn't see anyone following any kind of kitchen safety or cleanliness. No gloves, no hair nets, just hot sweaty & greasy vibes, the last red flag. The food was fine nothing over the top you can go to ihop or Denny's for the same experience with more room to breathe inside. It felt as if AC did not exist. 10/10 wouldn't go again.
