Our server Ayala, came over pretty quickly, and took our order. She was extremely friendly and helpful the whole time we were there. My brother ordered a pancake, two fried eggs and sausage links. He really enjoyed the pancake, as it was large and full of flavor. The eggs were fried perfectly and the sausage links were succulent. I had the chocolate chip Belgium waffle, scrambled eggs with cheddar and bacon. I loved my waffle, it was perfect. My eggs and bacon were very delicious too. Wanted to try a new breakfast place and this came up. I got the chicken and waffles and the chicken tasted like the ones you buy frozen from the store where the breading was soft and clumped together. They put like two tenders on there. Egg dishes are always dry and rubbery. Scrambled, omelets etc. Do not recommend those dishes to anyone. The prices are pretty expensive to get dried out egg dishes. Service has always been excellent and the restaurant is always clean. So try different breakfast items. read more

We had a delicious breakfast here! The kids meals were a very good sized portion for the 3 silver dollar pancakes and favorites plate. Gluten free bread available for a yummy bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The home fries were a hit with the whole family. read more

Pretty food with a hefty pricetag with little taste On the hunt for breakfast places, found this place in my travels and opted to give them a try. Just opened, place was large but mostly empty. I got seated and looked over the menu. It's very basic fare, with the exception of the stuffed French toast. I decided to get that with apples and cinnamon, but they didn't have apples. So I went with the banana and walnut as a fallback. Food came out quick, and the initial look was okay. They took two pieces of French toast and cut them fancy. So the presentation was good. Taste wasn't as good. Barely soaked bread with a thin film of unsweetened cream cheese and a half a banana with some chopped nuts. It was a bready savory mess of a plate. The price for this was 13, which is high for French toast. If the quality was there, I can justify the smaller portion. But it really was lackluster. They do try though, they are just very cheap with their ingredients. Given that I've had better food at hotel continental breakfasts though, it's not my first choice. read more

This is the last and final time we'll ever go to Keke's. It was 10:30 am and many booths were empty. Stood in line for over 15 minutes waiting to be seated as a crowd gathered behind us. Finally was seated. Waited another 15 minutes. No offer of beverages or anything. Keke's we've given you several chances over the last year and service has not improved. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. We don't need the aggravation. read more

Keke's is a great choice for breakfast. We went on a summery, Saturday morning- around 11:30- there was NO wait!! Belgian waffles were light and crispy- they have so many topping options, from fresh fruit and nuts to chocolate and caramel! They also have pancakes, French toast, omelets, eggs Benedict and more. The bacon was thin and crispy- like most breakfast joints (I prefer thick and soft, lol). Ambiance was welcoming. Booths were long with plenty of room and seats were comfortable for our party of 6. Our waitress was super attentive and never let us run out of coffee and Diet Coke! Our meals all ran about $20 a person, including drinks. My wife and I found this restaurant on yelp when passing through Lakeland. It's conveniently located near the 570 parkway. The food was good. I got the Eggs Benedict Florentine which was no longer on the menu. After seeing it on yelp, I asked if it was available and they made it for me as a special order. The spinach was well sautéed and the hollandaise sauce was rich. The food was a little cold which is why I rated it a four. My wife had the blueberry pancakes and fresh fruit which was very large and fresh. The atmosphere was nice enough with tall booths that help reduce noise as there were several families with small children. Service was good and the meal was served quickly. In all honesty we both were feeling under the weather. We were working while eating. Hun was charting on the laptop and I was checking emails with my firm. FYI, they do not have wifi here. There was wifi from the gym next door and it was within range and didn't have to use our hotspot. It's spacious and fairly clean. Bathrooms were clean. I ordered the eggs Benedict, my standard breakfast no matter where I go. It was ok. He ordered simple eggs potatoes and English muffin. I do have to note that while waiting for our food their was baby spiders crawling on the table every few minutes or so and I am not so fond of insects. Where were they coming from? While on vacation we looked for somewhere to stop and have breakfast. Yelp had Keke's listed and I have to admit, pictures speak 1000 words because that was a selling point. We are glad we stopped. It was Janie L's first day and she was great and friendly, she had multiple tables but never forgot us. The place is a nice family friendly restaurant with great food and clean. I love clean restaurant, the manager was even showing one of the staff members how to properly clean the sitting booths. read more

While visiting First Watch in south lakeland the service and food was spectacular. The Carmel Pecan Stuffed French Toast was exceptional and the home fries we also cooked to perfection. The service was also good, took them a little time to get our drinks out, however, this is understandable because we had a larger party. To be honest, I didn't really understand the hype about Keke's after I went for the first time. It seemed like just another breakfast place. But now, after eating there another few times I would like to completely repeal that thought and say YUM! If you love pancakes, waffles, or french toast with all the fixins this is the place for you. They have tons of options with fresh fruit, or even a thing called stuffed french toast. Their pancakes are MASSIVE. Like, be warned, if you think you want three you want maybe two, probably one actually. If it's still in season do try the pumpkin pancakes, they are fabulous and sooo tasty, the perfect pumpkin blend. (they have them in the fall) Good assortment of omelettes as well. Also keep in mind this is a super popular place so if you walk in on a weekend you will most likely have to wait to be seated, so try calling ahead if you don't want to wait so long. read more

Based on the menu and what I saw everyone around me ordering they are known for their waffles and pancakes. I wasn't in the mood for either so I ordered the scrambler bowl. This was more like an omelette on top of potatoes. The veggies and sausage were mixed into the eggs. I'm not an omelette fan so this wasn't what I was expecting. I have only experienced ordering take out at the Keke's in Lakeland (it's typically crowded over the weekend). First and foremost, be sure to check your order before leaving; we were missing items on multiple occasions. However, I don't mind ordering from this location again, because I have never had issues with customer service or the taste of the food. Additionally, the manager honored two free future meals for forgetting to put one of our meals in the take-out bag. Went on a Saturday morning brunch and the wait was extremely long. We were told 45 minutes and it ended up being 1.5 hours. Covid - masks are mandatory inside but not enforced. Many people were walking in/out and around the restaurant without a mask. There were no hand wipes or sanitizer available for the guests. We ordered breakfast and I opted for a lunch. We tried the BLT, Apple Cinnamon French Toast, Banana Nut Waffle and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Overall the food was good but nothing spectacular. The waitress was not particularly attentive but it was very busy. The food came out fast despite the busyness. They are really efficient here but still attentive and the food is pretty good. The menu is huge so everyone should be able to find something. Our group had a bit of everything. The French toast was good...nothing fancy but good. The omelet was good. Hubby had a wrap and it was good but needed a little something. So he took bacon from another plate and added it. The only disappointment was the waffle. It was kind of cold and chewy. We were all very pleasantly surprised the prices seemed a little high but for the quality and size it was great. The service and food was very high end.
