Bacon, egg & cheese on gluten free bread with home fries

We had a delicious breakfast here! The kids meals were a very good sized portion for the 3 silver dollar pancakes and favorites plate. Gluten free bread available for a yummy bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The home fries were a hit with the whole family.

Pretty food with a hefty pricetag with little taste On the hunt for breakfast places, found this place in my travels and opted to give them a try. Just opened, place was large but mostly empty. I got seated and looked over the menu. It's very basic fare, with the exception of the stuffed French toast. I decided to get that with apples and cinnamon, but they didn't have apples. So I went with the banana and walnut as a fallback. Food came out quick, and the initial look was okay. They took two pieces of French toast and cut them fancy. So the presentation was good. Taste wasn't as good. Barely soaked bread with a thin film of unsweetened cream cheese and a half a banana with some chopped nuts. It was a bready savory mess of a plate. The price for this was 13, which is high for French toast. If the quality was there, I can justify the smaller portion. But it really was lackluster. They do try though, they are just very cheap with their ingredients. Given that I've had better food at hotel continental breakfasts though, it's not my first choice.

Eggs Benedict Florentine - Available upon request from old menu

My wife and I found this restaurant on yelp when passing through Lakeland. It's conveniently located near the 570 parkway. The food was good. I got the Eggs Benedict Florentine which was no longer on the menu. After seeing it on yelp, I asked if it was available and they made it for me as a special order. The spinach was well sautéed and the hollandaise sauce was rich. The food was a little cold which is why I rated it a four. My wife had the blueberry pancakes and fresh fruit which was very large and fresh. The atmosphere was nice enough with tall booths that help reduce noise as there were several families with small children. Service was good and the meal was served quickly. We will likely return on our next trip to Tampa...

While visiting First Watch in south lakeland the service and food was spectacular. The Carmel Pecan Stuffed French Toast was exceptional and the home fries we also cooked to perfection. The service was also good, took them a little time to get our drinks out, however, this is understandable because we had a larger party. The only complaint i have is the coffee grounds in the iced coffee, but might have been a bad batch. Overall great experience! DR PEPPER RATING: 0/10 didn't have any

My family loves Keke's. The breakfast is amazing. The pancakes are so delicious and there are so many different types to order from. My personal favorite is the banana pancakes.

Food- no so good. Super average, no flavor. The food taste like nothing. No flavor are all Service-average Ambiance- typical restaurant Better places in Lakeland for breakfast: 1-Black and Brew 2-First watch In both case, is a verter experience, ambiance and food.

An amazing experience this morning. Warm greetings, authentic staff, quick service, clean organized environment and most of all the best brunch I believe I have ever had, not to mention the mimosas and how cool, pay by bar code! Best breakfast potatoes in the South!

To be honest, I didn't really understand the hype about Keke's after I went for the first time. It seemed like just another breakfast place. But now, after eating there another few times I would like to completely repeal that thought and say YUM! If you love pancakes, waffles, or french toast with all the fixins this is the place for you. They have tons of options with fresh fruit, or even a thing called stuffed french toast. Their pancakes are MASSIVE. Like, be warned, if you think you want three you want maybe two, probably one actually. If it's still in season do try the pumpkin pancakes, they are fabulous and sooo tasty, the perfect pumpkin blend. (they have them in the fall) Good assortment of omelettes as well. Also keep in mind this is a super popular place so if you walk in on a weekend you will most likely have to wait to be seated, so try calling ahead if you don't want to wait so long.

If you can find a way to get here though you absolutely should. I've been here a couple times and had people bring me things from here and I'm always very happy. My favorite thing I ever had here was a chocolate peanut butter pie, which was mind blowingly good. However, everything I've had from here has been pretty spectacular. I highly recommend the cookies here. I really love cookies, but their brown butter cookie is incredible. The pastries are really good too. I really enjoy the glazed croissant and I recently had a lemon twist that was very good. Finally, the sandwiches that I've had from here are both really good as well. I've only had the breakfast sandwiches, but I enjoyed the hot honey sausage biscuit and the bacon breakfast sandwich. 5 stars.

The strawberry icing actually tasted like strawberries in the most amazing way possible. My only real criticism : The line system was a bit confusing and it seemed like online orders were priority over people that were actually there. At least that's how it appeared. Other than that WE WILL BE BACK!

Believed to be a "Scratch Kitchen", this amazing find has a menu that I find myself excited about returning to try. We ordered a drink and an order of the Frescos Egg Rolls. The drink was spot on and the Egg Rolls amazing. We opted not to order a main course due to eating just a couple hours prior but I knew right then and there that I'd be back to try other selections from the menu. Pricing seems to be below average with "happy hour" pricing at specified times daily. Highly Recommended!

Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was marred by slices of tomato that were so thick that the knives on the table were incapable of cutting them. This same issue carried over to the green tomato blt, which was almost impossible to eat bc of bread that was also too thick. The bacon was so overcooked as to be dry sticks that shattered into tiny bits when you tried to eat the sandwich. The fries were allegedly hand cut, but looked & tasted like (cold) seasoned frozen steak fries. The FSKB chicken salad croissant was just a soggy mess. And the eggs Benedict featured "Canadian Bacon", which is a US marketing term for round slices of bacon, not Back Bacon or Peameal Bacon that is actually served in Canada. Overpriced & not worth a second try.

The vibe is awesome with brick walls, tasteful decor, and pleasant music, and just what I look for in a local coffee shop. Prices are fairly reasonable with many drink and food options. Although there was a bit of line when I visited, it moved quickly and staff was efficient in getting ordered items out to guests. I went with a white mocha frappe (5/5), asking for it to be made less sweet. It's not something I ordinarily see on the menu at local coffee shops, so was delighted at how good it was, with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It's shame that there's nothing like it at coffee shops close to where I live, as it's something that'd be in my regular rotation of caffeinated drinks I'd order. As my friends and I enjoyed our experience here, I'd definitely return to Black & Brew, and would recommend them to others looking for a quality coffee shop in Lakeland.

The standout for me was the Holiday Ham breakfast sandwich, and it absolutely lived up to its name. Built on a flaky buttermilk biscuit, it layers a light, fluffy egg soufflé with thinly sliced ham, praline bacon that adds just the right touch of sweetness, and a cranberry orange jam that ties everything together with a bright, unexpected pop. Every bite tasted thoughtful and seasonal without being overcomplicated--comfort food elevated. I paired it with Jennie's Dolce seasonal espresso drink, and it was so good I immediately wanted another. Even more impressive? The second one tasted just as perfect as the first--a small detail that says a lot about their consistency and care behind the bar. The coffee shop ambience immediately stands out, with a relaxed yet polished vibe that makes it just as ideal for a casual morning as it is for catching up on work or meeting friends. Service was warm and efficient, and you can tell this place has become a staple in the downtown community. If you appreciate creative twists on classic breakfast favorites and expertly crafted coffee drinks, Black & Brew is well worth the stop. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The Sweet Caroline is good. The bread was fresh. The ratio of meat to bread was good and the service is great. We also had a "child's cheeseburger" and fries. The child size is deceiving because it's full-size and plenty for an adult. I don't know how thick the patty would be for an adult hamburger but the patty was good on the child size burger. The bun was so good; it was buttered and grilled. Perfectly toasted! The store portion has plenty of authentic Italian products you can buy and take home. You can also buy some pre-made Italian dishes to take home and bake. Sad I didn't try this place earlier in my life but I'll be back! So many options. A long buffet of salad. A long buffet of hot foods and plenty of side dishes. Desserts Yum. I started off with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole, macaroni and cheese, chicken and dumpling soup and a soft sweet roll. And that was just plate number one. I'm not gonna go over every single thing I ate, but let's just say I truly think that this place is a must go to for dinner, lunch or breakfast. We enjoyed our dinner so much tonight that we are actually going back again tomorrow to do this again. The menu rotates and changes daily so there's plenty of food options and it is all you can eat. So my advice is simple. Go to this restaurant and go hungry and be ready to meet some really nice people and have a really good time.
