This place is not located in the best area but the food is pretty good. My favorite is the shrimp egg foo young and their shrimp egg rolls. The fried rice is a little bland and could use more veggies and seasoning. I love the sesame chicken, chicken lo mein, and egg rolls here. Best I've found in the area. I ordered sesame chicken combo and it comes with pork fried rice.... My son is allergic to eggs and was asking for a bite so I called at 9:50pm to ask if they cook it with eggs. I didn't see any but wanted to be sure. No one answered 4 of my calls and one of the calls they picked up and hung up. I get they close at 10pm but that's 10 whole mins to answer a simple question. I've been going to this place for 20 years or so. They have managed to keep my business so far. Sometimes it's a big flop and a miss and the food tastes like it has gone rotten. But i have noticed that's usually right when they open so I'm guessing it was from the night prior. I ordered food from this restaurant at least twice a week. The food was the best in town. I noticed their rating dropped below 95. So I googled Cumberland County Health Department Restaurant Sanitary Ratings. They were cited for not washing their hands after using the bathroom and washing the trash cans. I hope others will go to this site before they eat out. Oh, I asked why their rating dropped...all I got was a blank stare. I'm exercising common sense by not patronizing this establishment. So the food here is good, it's not the best in town but they are consistent! I don't particularly have a favorite but I've tried at least half the menu and it's always good! The employees are friendly and most of them have been here for at least 10 years! Sometimes it can be hard to understand them, but that usually comes with the territory! The people who work here, are always working hard to have everyone's order ready in 10 mins from the back staff to the lady at the front counter (who is so sweet & organized). Everyone is always friendly when we come to pick up our order, and they're very quick, even for a takeout place. Because of the reviews for Yang Garden I decided to give Them a shot. I ordered the Wanton noodle soup with the General Tso chicken combination plate which also came with Pork Fried rice and an egg roll. The soup was flavorless after two spoonfuls I was done with the soup, the egg roll was...ok, again no flavor. To the pork fried rice, it was very bland I expected to the fried rice to be very flavorful but no. I had to mix as much of the rice to the chicken just to get rid of all of the "general goo" which is probably why they gave my so much rice to begin with. Beyond the extra sauce on the Chicken it was a for sure miss. The only thing Yang Garden had right was their customer service. read more
