Just ate some take out--the food was not good at all. Flavor, texture, freshness..none of it was good. Chicken Lo Mein noodles were way over cooked--kinda mushy; veggies were chewy and i had to spit them out. crab rangoon seemed unfresh , just warm, shriveled and barely any filling. I went in to pick up lunch before work a few days ago to find myself stuck behind 4 ladies who had never been to a Chinese Restaurant, or at least it appeared that way. One made a joke about me thinking I'd get in and out quickly, but didn't know I'd be stuck behind them. After what seemed like forever for them to order, the guy behind the counter took my order. I tossed a tip in the tip jar and stood to the side so another customer behind me could order. My food came super fast and when it was handed to me the guy behind the counter said, "sorry for the wait". The ladies looked surprised that my food came before there food did. Now, onto the food. PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!! I came here and ordered boneless pork with chicken fried rice and an eggroll. The pork was completely awful. Dry and rubbery old meat reheated is what it was. The chicken fried rice was plain and had no flavor. The eggroll was nothing but cabbage and was fried in the fish oil vat because it tasted like fish. The rice just looked like a dirty yellow brown color but tasted okay, still couldn't bring myself to eat more than a few bite because of the look. There's not many Chinese places in Portage that deliver so thats a positive. Ordering over the phone is really easy and delivery has always been amazingly fast. I've ate here for years now and have nothing bad to say about them at all. The sweet and sour chicken is good, the egg rolls are good and the vegetable delight is amazing. Their food is more "real" and homemade than Panda Express' ever will be. You can actually watch them cook their orders (in general) because of the open floor plan.
