I would like to give this place a negative number but that is not a option. Took my daughter and wife there for dinner, as we walked in the garbage cans both inside and out were full. There was only one other vehicle in the lot. We walked in to order our food at 5:15 at the start of the dinner rush. Almost no food prepared and ready for service. ​The food that was available was old and dried out. Then a customer came in from the drive thru and complained about being over charged, the manager came out to take care of this issue and was extremely rude and condescending to the customer. When the customer expressed her disproval of how she was being treated, the manager had a i dont care attitude. While this was going on in front of my family she made a joke out of it to the employees. Then the rush started to come thru the door and the manager disappeared not to be seen. There were drive-thru orders along with on line orders pilled up behing the glass getting cold. I have worked in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years and this is one of the most unorganized stores i have even seen. From the manager to the quality of food was incredibly bad, they didnt have any silverware out and the tables looked like they havent been wiped down correctly since the previous day. We went there again tonight and it will our last visit. This location is grossly mismanaged. We went in because the drive-through had several cars which can mean a wait as long as 30 minutes. Standing in line, we saw one the employees dump cold chow mein from a takeout box back into the main food which was then served to us. We stood in line for a long time with only one person doing most of the serving and others hanging around and loudly chit-chatting. There was also garbage all over the floor. While we were eating our partially cold food, we saw a woman come in from the drive-thu to get a refund because her food was taking forever and then another woman came in because her order was incorrect. I used the "Panda Express" app this evening to order ahead in an effort to save time for both myself and the employees. When I arrived in my car in the drive-thru lane, I was informed that effective today, this Panda Express location is no longer allowing users of their mobile app to pick their food up at the drive-thru window. Those people will need to park, come inside, stand in line behind those choosing to eat inside, and wait for them to prepare your order. The lie provided to me by the manager was that they've recently had mobile app orders goofed-up by their own employees. This new policy supposedly went in affect today as I went there yesterday for lunch (mobile app order) and had no problem getting my order through the drive-thru lane. This new policy doesn't affect regular drive-thru orders -- only mobile app orders, so be aware if you're planning on ordering ahead on the Panda Express phone app. It is not convenient and will end up costing you more time here. This is no longer FAST food. There are too many other fast-food options in Portage with better service, so I won't be coming back here, especially since the manager herself admitted to me that they're having trouble filling orders correctly. She informed me that they've had customers coming back, complaining that they received the wrong order! This Panda Express is apparently having problems. I recommend avoiding it. Ordered a "bigger plate", supposed to be 3 entrees and a side. Got 2x orange chicken, broccoli and beef, and chow mien. The chow mien was 75% giant chunks of veggies, and just not good. The portion sizes for the chicken and the beef broccoli were laughable. 3 pieces of broccoli and 3 tiny flecks of meat. Wasn't bad, but gone in 3 small bites. 2 entrees of orange chicken ended up being 11 very tiny bites of mostly breading and fat. I straight up feel like I got robbed. Half of it was inedible, so I ended up throwing that half of it away. Even if I had choked down the hot garbage I was served, it still wouldn't have come close to being enough food to satisfy me, and i'm not a big guy. This was the WORST fast food experience I've had in probably 10 years. I'll never go back to Panda Express again. I suggest you spend your money on more authentic food from a local place. This is more a review of this entire chain. I have celiac and cant eat gluten. This particulae chain has stated unapologetically that at thia time they do not offer any gf options. I went there today, not to eat, but because i was with some kids who liked it, all non celiac. Theyre kitchen is definitly not set up to handle food allergies of any kind so i can see why they offer no options, but its also easy to see the modifications they could make, but choose not to. To me, as celiac is considered a disability, i would go as far as to say they just have refused to cater to people with disabilities. Beyond that though no food allergy is really safe there due to cc risk. I know this may seem like a wierd review to read as they are honest about their faults here as a company, but it begs the question...mongolian bbq and pf changs have done it, but they have not. Its kind of like giving the middle finger to disabilities and food allergies. When the company is obviously a hold out in terms of keeping the people with food allergies safe or rather cater to them at all. It really is just coming off as discriminatory anymore, theyre just honest about it and betond that think its ok. This was a one off though occurrence. Its why i normally eat at the other two mentioned and not this one. Hopefully ive convinced one or two of you to do the same, celiac or not. read more

It was the most horrible dinner I've received on the go in many years. I called and asked for a manager. Catering Services. I recently had a Pre Mother's Day event at my home for about 35 attendees. I thought about using my faithful caterers that I've used over the years. For some reason, I remembered seeing a Catering Service banner and thought, why not try it?? With much trepidation, I contacted the Portage location and ended up speaking to Francesca who was very pleasant and very professional. I decided to come in and make sure everything was set up. She was throwing it away for a couple minutes and walked back in. Two more minutes go by until someone (the employee taking out the trash) says that they close at 9:30 on Sundays.
