Also had a brown laser treatment…read more My visits to other dermatologists for skin checks were done in extreme detail over my entire body, hair and nails, with a microscope. Dr. Lamoureux did a very brief visual check standing several feet away from me. The brown laser treatment did nothing. I paid a lot of money for this and am extremely unhappy with the outcome. In addition, I saw another dermatologist today who told me I was not the first person to be unhappy with Skindermatology. Do NOT recommended this practice.

I have several…read morehealth reasons why I am unable to be on any hormonal birth control, and was told there was "no way" I'd be able to not engage in intercourse with my husband for 6 months. To me, this means the practice does not trust women. the doctor also said she "doesn't want an abortion on her conscience." So instead i was prescribed two medications to try that both required prior authorization for coverage. The person who deals with these issues told me there was "no way to get coverage." When i Called CVS Caremark, they said they just needed 2 prior authorizations and an appeal. When I asked the person to Please check their info before calling me, they basically gaslighted me and said they "got the doctor to take time out of her busy schedule to do peer to peer with the doctor on their end." im sorry, but we are all busy. putting that guilt on the patient is so wrong. If you are dealing with hormonal acne ,id suggest finding a different Provider.
