My parents and I have made periodic purchases from them for decades. They have true jewelers who work there - not just sales staff. My most recent trip was for some replacement watch batteries. Several more convenient "mall jewelers " near me (you know the usual suspects) said they'd have to send out the watches - would take 4-6 weeks . Firths replaced the batteries in 30 min while I waited at 1/4 of the price. Fantastic service and outstanding value. read more

I love Firth's!!! Every time I have gone in there they have been so nice to me and my mom!! Tom is my favorite person there!! From replacement earring backs, to the most recent (today) being a necklace chain that needed repairing, they have gone above and beyond with service (and pricing of services too)! The necklace pictured is the one I got fixed. the original chain broke around Christmas and I finally took it in; they not only mended the broken chain(for no charge, might I add), but also tweaked the new chain that I bought so my pendant could fit on it! An excellent mid-range price, well-established, family-owned jewelry store. I don't want to promote this part because I doubt they would do this for everyone, but they changed a watch band that I brought in for free, and put a battery in a watch for free as well. And neither the watch nor the band were purchased here. THAT is excellent customer relations, and I will patronize this store because of this generous goodwill. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly as well. I would withhold the fifth star because it does not offer some of the higher end things I want to purchase, but then again, that is only my preference. For what Firth's sets out to do, it does it well. Therefore, a full five stars. read more
