Ann Arbor Fire Department had to come out before vehicle could be towed to service center.

I purchased my vehicle at this dealership seven years ago and have remained a loyal customer despite living closer to another Honda dealership. However, the service I have received over the past year has been less than satisfactory. Most recently, my vehicle was brought in for a routine service, recall check, and brake replacement. I anticipated that the car would be returned in excellent condition; instead, it came back with an array of issues that were not present prior to my visit. I returned to the dealership twice to have these problems addressed--issues that, in my opinion, should not have been missed if the mechanic had performed a thorough inspection. A few hours after my second visit, I noticed yet another problem: an EVAP warning, which typically indicates a leak or loss of pressure in the fuel vapor system. I called the service advisor to inform him, left a voicemail, and gave him adequate time to respond, but he never returned my call. After driving around a bit, I noticed a persistent gasoline smell. The car smelled like gasoline when I picked it up; however, I chalked this up to be residual vapor from the fuel pump replacement they had performed. This was not the case. I investigated where the smell was coming from and discovered copious amounts of gasoline leaking from my fuel tank. The leak was so severe that the Ann Arbor Fire Department had to respond and apply fire retardant before the vehicle could be towed to a new service center. There, technicians found that the fuel pump had not been properly secured and the O-ring was dislodged--yet another careless mistake made by Fischer Honda. Dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare. They have not offered any compensation for the work done at their dealership, despite the risk of harm their negligence posed. Reimbursement for towing and repairs was made nearly impossible and was offered only on the condition that I sign a legal agreement not to share my experience. The professionalism and workmanship at Fischer Honda are abysmal. Let this be a cautionary tale: avoid this place at all costs. Go to the folks at the Honda dealership on the other side of US-23-they'll treat you with common decency and get the job done properly.

Interesting situation at Fischer Honda --- took my car in because it hadn't started. I'd called AAA road service, they took, on a lovely spring day - 55 min to have someone come out -- so finally after waiting 50 minutes and not having heard they had a truck on the way.. I tried again and it started. Concerned about the possibility of finding my car 'dead' to start again at some inopportune time... I took it in to Fischer Honda to let me know what they thought the problem was. They charge 160 for the 'diagnostics' -- to be applied to anything they do that they recommend is what I was told. They determined after testing that the battery was defective. (this had been put in by AAA a year 1/2 before). They also said, well we can replace your battery but its still possibly under warranty with AAA - So I asked them if I cked with AAA but decided to have it done with them would the credit apply if I brought it back to them to do - Sure. So I spend hours on the AAA thing and they send a guy out who tests the battery on their lesser sophisticated equipment and he says the battery cks out okay. Sorry he says, this is what the tester says, and I follow protocol and I didn't bring this size battery with me either.... Okay -- so back to Fisher to get the battery replaced with a 160 credit toward it, and I specifically recall asking - what the price of a battery would be thru them and then, said well with the credit then that wouldn't be bad - he nods. So I take it in ---- they do the replacement and charge me 200+ with no credit applied --- and I tell them that they forgot the credit - and the manager comes out and does this smarmy thing. Even tho his employee on the desk tells him that yes I was told that I'd get a credit for any work they had recommended.... he says 'well we do a battery test for free' so your battery doesn't count..... and tells me I'm being manipulative wanting to apply the $160 fee toward the battery replacement. "Now you tell me" - eh? So I tell him, first - you're kidding, right? No he's not. So --- okay --- take your battery out then, and put my old battery back. I am not going to pay you over $200 for a battery this way after you guys were so misleading and basicly dishonest. I'll definitely spend the time to go somewhere I can trust for honesty and having basic 'goodwill' sense. How many hours? Sheesh. Well lesson learned and a reminder ---I had forgotten why I took my honda for years all the way into Ann Arbor to Japanese Auto Professional.... but its all coming back. Honesty in Business. A rare thing anymore. Well I posted this to facebook where I have @2k followers and a friend who lives in the area but who is vacationing in Paraguay responded that she was glad to see this as she'd planned on going there to buy a new car when she returns to the states and now knows to go elsewhere.....

I have purchased 5 vehicles from Fischer Honda over the past 20 years and have been pleased with the sales and service departments.

They are sending papers to my dad who has been dead for over 2 years, not the best business strategy I'd say.

Williams Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Dundee

My entire family have been loyal Williams Brothers customers, purchasing multiple Jeep, Dodge, and…read moreRam vehicles from this dealership since shortly after they opened. My dad's 2022 Ram 3500 diesel developed a recurring DPF issue that was documented here four times in six months. Each visit, they performed temporary fixes and cleared codes without resolving the root cause. When the DPF finally failed completely, they quoted him $3,012 and said no warranty covered it. My parents questioned this, and we collected documentation and sent it to the warranty company and dealership. We requested a denial in writing. Matt Williams reached out and wanted to schedule a meeting and suggested we trade in the truck. We continued asking for the denial in writing and he never provided one. He told my parents they 'just didn't want to pay.' Meanwhile, the manufacturer had already put out a bulletin identifying this exact problem as a manufacturing defect. The dealership never mentioned it. We did our own research, put together the paperwork (the same invoices and service records the dealership already had) and sent it to the warranty company ourselves. The warranty company reversed their initial denial and approved the repair. We took the truck to Monroe Dodge, where it was fixed under warranty within a week. Our cost was $350 instead of $3,012. Monroe Dodge assigned a senior diesel mechanic, found a more thorough repair was needed than what Williams Brothers quoted, covered extra parts at no charge, and offered shuttle service. Night and day difference. If we had trusted Williams Brothers and not done our own research, my parents would have paid over $3,000 for a repair that was covered the entire time. After years of loyalty and hundreds of thousands of dollars in vehicle purchases, this is how they treated us. We will never return.

They are lucky that they are receiving a 2 from me. I purchased a used 2019 Jeep Wrangler in 2022,…read moreand this was honestly one of the biggest regrets I have ever made in my life. The salesman that I worked with for sure played me like a fiddle to the point where I am stuck in this car and CANNOT for the life of me get out of the loan without either walking away completely and it being re-possessed or owing almost 11K on the car I would trade it for. I had an issue with the car right when I got it in 2022. I called and the service department told me to not drive the vehicle, but they wouldn't be able to see the car for another 3-4 weeks to find out what was happening. I had picked one of the highest warranty coverages through them when I got the car due to it being a used vehicle. I asked about getting a loaner in the meantime due to this being my daily transportation. Found out NOPE, they don't do loaners. So, I would be paying over $700 for a car that I wouldn't be able to even drive. Ended up resolving that issue with no ASSISTANCE from them. On January 16th 2026, I was driving to work, and my car broke down and wouldn't turn on and or shift into gear. So, I got it towed. I had it towed here due to having the warranty though them (ONLY REASON I TOOK THE CAR THERE). It gets there and I had to tell the service guy not once, not twice, but three times what was wrong with the car. And then he asked me if I could describe what dash lights were on (he wanted to make sure I wasn't confused when telling him. I wasn't.) He then tells me this is a STAR CASE, and they had to open a ticket to connect to a higher level of service to get clearance to work on the part. The service guy has been great. But the process of getting my car fixed has been horrible. I have two warranties and the one doesn't even cover what is wrong with the car (even though it's a bizarre technological issue). I was waiting on hearing back from the other one if it would be cover. But if it wasn't, I was going to have to pay out of pocket for everything totaling up to $2500. Thankfully and magically after I complained about paying for warranties and threatening to cancel them due to them not covering any issues, I get a phone call the next day that it is covered and the part was on the way. Part wasn't going to be here until January 30th. Okay. Fine. I wait patiently and never hear anything about it. So, I call them on the Thursday before the part was going to be delivered to ask about updates etc. I was then told the part might be pushed back due to the snowstorm but they most likely would get the part and my car would be done and ready to be picked up Monday. Well, yesterday I get a phone call at 5:57 pm (3 minutes before they close) that the part was somehow cancelled due to being hazardous and sent back to the manufacturer. I was also informed that they have no idea how long it will take for this part to be delivered from the manufacturer due to the last part needing 2 weeks to arrive. So, not only am I being screwed over by not getting my car back. But I am also out of money. A LOT OF MONEY. So, who knows when my car will ever be back in my possession. I do know one thing for sure though, I will NEVER come back to this dealership, I will NEVER use this service department again, and I will also NEVER recommend this to any of my friends/family members/colleagues/ and clients. The only reason they have received a 2 star is for their head of service department Cameron. He has been completely transparent about the issues they have been facing, and I don't blame him at all for the issues I have continued to have with this company. UPDATE: After talking to the service department Monday night I was told I was going to be called bright and early Tuesday. NEVER HAPPENED! Didn't get a call till Wednesday, again 2 minutes before they close, and was informed that they still haven't ordered my part and or contacted the manufacturer. And the guy I've been dealing with won't be back into the office until Friday. Seriously f this place.
