The date on the rear tires was 2015. Good time to change and not wait for the winter storm coming. I went to the shop, spoke with Shawn (may not be the name I was told), given a bid for 4 new 70K tires at a most reasonable price. I called the next afternoon and asked if they were busy. The gentleman told me to come in, as there was a lull, and I did. Tires were replaced in almost less than 1/2 hour. WoW!!! What a difference they made. Turning was so much easier, and starting and stopping without tires screeching at the start was remarkable. I had prayed that the busy would thrive, and they have. Why? Because they were attentive to my need, gave me a fixed estimate, were available when I called, even though I could have made an appointment. The new tires came with balancing, and free tire rotations and service. What more could you ask for? Price per tire $70, installation and taxes total $471.15. My next visit will be to have my brakes inspected. When it comes to the brakes, thank you to the guy that got a second look and found he did not need new rotors right away... Before winter blows in like a furry, get those tires checked and replace them. No tread on the wheels, could lead to an auto accident, especially if it's snowing (like next week).

Who will be open on a Sunday to assess the damage? Will the right size tire be in stock? Sunday morning I arrived at the Grass Valley store right around opening time and an extremely competent young man found the hole, fixed it, remounted the tire, checked the pressure of all my tires, including the mini I had limped in on. The service at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and professional. I was able to continue my trip as if nothing alarming had happened. This company advertises that they fix flats for free, and I found myself wondering if there would be a catch. There was no catch. They did, in fact, fix it for free, and I wanted to pay for the excellent service, but nope, they fix flats for free. The friend I was visiting confirmed she always gets her tires from Big Brand because they are trustworthy. Thank you for providing an essential service that increases safety on the road! Fortunately, Sierra Tire answered our call and instructed us to pull into their second bay. We were warmly greeted by Joe and Oscar, who immediately checked the pressure in the four tires and looked for nails or screws. They discovered all of the tires were overinflated!
