I came in here for sushi-grade fish, of which they had had just salmon, tuna, and scallop. Not the…read morebest selection, but everything (sushi grade or no) looked to be of fairly decent quality. I would consider coming back for fish I intend to prepare in a different way. But the person working here tried to upsell me, saying that each meal requires about 0.5 lbs fish. This might be true of cooked fish, but it likely isn't for sushi. I took my one pound of fish home and used a very small amount of it to make very meaty maki that comprised the entirety of my evening meal. (The fish was fresh, though, and reasonably flavourful.) One bigger issue: a significant portion (like a third) of the small piece of tuna I bought contained silverskin, which made the piece inedible. Totally not acceptable, when you consider the price of the tuna was over $30 per pound. This is a okay place to go if you live nearby and want sushi-grade fish. There aren't many places in the city that offer it. Next time, though, I'm gonna try Taro's. The selection there looks pretty amazing.

You can choose a base broth, a protein, a carb, and add extra things if you want. I got the classic soup bone broth, crispy folder of lotus root, and potato starch noodles. My friend got the sweet and sour broth, beef brisket and Chinese broth. Whichever soup you get, it comes with lots of veggies. You also get sides dishes that they can refill. The soup comes out hot so you can ask for a side bowl to get it to cool down. But it was so good, i rarely have had soup quite this flavourful before! The portion size was good too; they told me I could get unlimited refills on the carb, but I was so full that I even had enough soup to take. The sweet and sour broth was also very unique. I'm not sure how to describe it but both options were great. There were only 2 servers that night but they were very attentive and got us things quickly if we needed anything. They also mentioned a new addition coming to the menu in a few months although I didn't quite catch what it was with my poor Mandarin (haha) (they can speak both Mandarin and English.) I just discovered T&T sells fried butterfly basa fish and it's huge for $15 (it's the last linked…read morephoto in this review)! I put it in tinfoil when I got home and crisped it up some more in the oven. We bought the last one. It's quite delicious and a really good deal given a single portion of fish and chips is easily $15 alone and this is like 2-3 portions of fried fish. Though it can get a bit greasy. Give it a try.

This store often has good deals on produce and various items, better than many other grocery stores Service is generally good. I remember one cashier in particular who was super helpful, and made sure I had the bags I needed etc. One thing that could be improved is the rain checks system. Getting a rain check for items they've run out of takes quite a long time, which is unfortunate.
