Trendy decor and perfect fish & chips! Food: 5* Tried the Halibut, cod, fisherman platter, deep fried burger all amazing! Lightly battered, perfect tangy/creamy coleslaw and thick tartare sauce. The deep fried burger is coated lightly like dusted fried onions, had the best crunch the whole table could hear on the bite down. Thick cut fries the size of a finger and condiments tray even had a malt vinegar spray bottle to coat them with. Clam chowder was decent, thick enough with bits of clams, but not overly powerful. Sips: 2* A huge let down since the restaurant name is "Fish & Sips". Not many choices of sips, not well described on menu either. The Caesar arrived in regular glass, not spice rimmed, only a thin slice of lime and lemon garnish, was just ok. The ciders had two options from cans, no names or descriptions on menu. We had to inquire info for all the small selections of alcohol. Not what we thought for the drinks at all. There were more happening places down the street. Decor: 5* Fresh, clean and trendy from front area, wall of mirrors to the other side of seating with booths and chairs and washroom. Lots of bright light from big windows facing main street. Have Kids? 1* NOT Family friendly at all. No kids menu, activities, or straws for the glass drinks. There might have been highchairs or boosters seats but not offered. Bring tablets and wipes if you have kiddos. Simple menu in a fresh and trendy restaurant. Menu would suit most crowds and palates here. Easy street parking available.

Went for a quick lunch at Fish and Sips while in Collingwood for work. Was seated quickly and provided with a cold brew while waiting for my order. I opted for the cod and chips and wasn't disappointed. The fish was well prepared with a light and crispy batter. Chips appeared to be fresh cut with crispy exteriors and soft potato interior. Just the way I like. All in all a good meal. I would recommend!

Stayed in Collingwood and explored downtown Collingwood area which was refreshing compared to the Blue Mountain touristy vibe. I do highly recommend this fish and chips spot. The service here is very friendly and attentive. There was a good variety of items to choose from but we decided on their Special Fish and Chips. If I remember correctly it was cod but it was so good! It was perfectly battered and light. A very welcoming take on the Fish and Chips plus it was not greasy at all. The clam chowder was also very good! Definitely had a good amount of seafood and a good consistency of a chowder. Overall, I do recommend checking this spot out if you're a fan of Fish and Chips and in the Collingwood area. If I'm visiting again, I definitely want to come back here for more food. Another plus is they offer local beer which was lovely as well.

The stars aligned perfectly for this meal. My girlfriend and I were looking to go to another place down the road but was too busy so we kept walking and found this place. And thank god we did! Very clean and nice place with really great and attentive service. Michelle was our server and she was so great. The food quality was very high. The coleslaw was made the way we both like it and the tartar sauce felt homemade. The crust to fish ratio is perfect. Letting the fish be the star of the show. Literally cannot get this meal out of my head. Wanting to come back ASAP!

An excellent visit to Fish and Sips this past week for a birthday dinner. The servers were friendly and welcoming and got us our order taken quickly. Our food arrived in great time and was all served hot and plated beautifully. The chowder was the soup of the day and of course, we all had to try it. We appreciate how clean the restaurant is as well as the welcoming ambience of the space. We will be back!

Wickedly good meal at Fish and Sips! Had the Fishermen's Platter (Haddock, Scallops, and Shrimp) with Greek Salad, Poutine Meal & Haddock and Chips! Key Lime Pie rocked for the the dessert! Eat here when in Collingwood! Fresh & Yummy!

Fish and Sips is an adorable British style fish and chips shop in downtown Collingwood. It one of the most busy resturant in the heart of Collingwood. The decor is fashioned with unique mirrors reminiscent of the UK. Staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant is completed with beer options on the tap. Our meals were average. It could be cause I went with the healthier grilled haddock option - Calorieswise ($13.50). At the time the restaurant ran out of salad and substituted it with mushy peas. The fish was not fresh. Mushy peas was bland. I would not recommend this main. My partnered ordered the Halibut fish and chips ($16.40). He enjoyed the fries and fish. He felt it was flavorful. The fish was fried to perfection. For dessert, we opted for their infamous Key Lime Pie. While I love the strong pounced flavour of lime, it was too sweet for my liking. I felt as thought I was eating spoonful of sugar with every bite. Overall, the ambiance was great. Hopefully Fish and Sips can up their fresh grill fish game!

I had a warm mushroom salad with shrimp and my friend had Halibut and chips. The salad was tasty but quite greasy. The halibut was piping hot but the fries were lukewarm. I asked if they were short staffed and our server said no, that they just weren't used to being so busy on a Wednesday !! They did not look busy. The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Fresh food for what we ordered. Hidden gem at this seafood restaurant was the tomahawk steak- MVP!. Give this place a try!!! Service was good 4/5

Shared an order of mussels in Thai sauce, sauce was good but the smallest mussels I've ever seen. Good, not great. Being from Nova Scotia I should know better than to order seafood chowder in Ontario but they did say they were a seafood restaurant. It came to the table as a rather grey looking goop with a shrimp and two mussels stuck on top. They were the only identifiable seafood in the chowder plus I only found one potato chunk. My friend had the Thai red curry soup which was more of a risotto than a soup and while not horrible was underwhelming. I won't be going back and to boot, the jazz band didn't show up!

After a friendly welcome by the Hostess, we met our server, also very friendly and helpful. While waiting for our meals, I ogled the meals being delivered to other guests and have to say, they all looked quite appetizing! When our meals arrived, we all were pleased with how good everything looked and started right in. The fish was crispy on the outside, nice and firm on the inside, beautifully done. The fries were good too. My chicken Parm was excellent, served with penne & Alfredo sauce. The chicken had a lovely breaded crust and was tender on the inside, had a nice sauce and the cheese was perfectly melty and chewy. I've had chicken Parm many times, none of them were terrible, but this was the best I've had. We all agreed we would be happy to come and eat here again. The seating was comfortable, not crowded, with various seating options. There was nothing negative about this meal or the service so I have to leave all five stars. The burger was great but I really could not finish it. The fries were fantastic. I also ordered a Brewhouse caesar ($16) which was fantastic.
