It's such a small place that they really only need one or two people to run it. Their selection is not very extensive, but they did have the small things I needed. So like if you're in the neighborhood and just need to pick up a new pair of hiking socks or a headlamp or something like that, Moose's Tooth should be fine. They also had several clearance racks for clothing. However, if you need something bigger or out of the ordinary, you'd be better off going to an REI or a Cabela's or a Scheel's or whatever you have in your area. Honestly, the biggest turn-off for me was price. I only bought one bag worth of basic hiking gear and it ran me up into the triple-digits. I do need them, and I wasn't able to get to a bigger store, but still. They are a little overpriced.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience when I back less than 24 hours later to return items. I was met by a very aggressive woman with glasses and a beanie. She told me she could not do anything for my boots return because I had worn them for one day, despite telling her they were super tight and hurting my ankles. She refused to call her district manager or customer service or anyone to get another opinion. She told me I needed to call customer service myself if I had an issue. She then tried to correlate my attempted return to the same as someone she dealt with prior that was arrested and in jail and tried to return the shoes with an unknown substance on them?? This woman clearly needs retrained and or removed from this position. She had ZERO empathy for my situation and seemed to be worried about a $225 return then making a customer happy. I know I am going to seriously reconsider future shopping at 5.11 because of her horrendous attitude and ability to be flexible and problem solve. I called customer service after I left the store and they immediately processed a return and refund. Wow, see there is an exception to most situations.

We recently went to Bass Pro shops for their free kids fishing event. My daughter had never been fishing before, so this was a really fun time for all of us as a family. We got there at 10 because that's when the event was supposed to start, but we had had quite a bit of rain starting around 9 AM so they pushed it back a little bit. We had a couple of hours to kill and it was easily done. We got to walk around and look at all of their ATVs and boats as well as a lot of different products that they had. My daughter had a really fun time, looking at the fish in their indoor tank. The actual fishing event is definitely my five star here. Staff was so kind and helped load and bait my daughter's hook. They were helpful with fish removal and super kind with tips and tricks.
