This is a hidden gem in the community and you will find that during the week, you often have the whole place to yourself. Dog toys and drinking water are available as well as porta-johns for the humans. The park is well stocked with clean up bags and I didn't find any "land mines" on my walk around today. We had a first time puppy visit. the vet tech was rude. slammed the room door and said loudly, "I…read morejust can't" when I was questioning practices I've never experienced with other vets. In addition, they wanted to add additional fees for unnecessary treatments. Also, they wanted to take my dog away and do treatments without me being able to see what they were doing or IF they were doing what they said they were going to do. Finally, they wanted to divide the vaccines and exams so I'd have to come at least 3 times thereby getting 3 payments for all the things other vets do at one visit. We left without any treatments provided and after explaining how rude the vet tech was with us. The receptionist was nice, but it wasn't the right fit for us!!!!! never met the vet. It is my perception that they only cared about making money. I want someone who genuinely cares about my animals.

I have never had a negative visit there, after reading some of the reviews people can be very tough to please and the worst are the ones in or have been in customer service, they do a lot for our furry community and it should be understood that anyone can have a bad day. However, recently I purchased an add-on collar for a 2nd dog on my PetSafe in-ground containment system. The product looked identical to what I needed, but was not compatible. The store refused to allow me to return it because the package was opened, even though I had a receipt and it was within one week of purchase. They won't accept returns on anything electronics, even if completely unused. They told me to call PetSafe, but the manufacturer won't accept it because I didn't purchase directly. I'm now out $160, unless I can recoup some funds via ebay. I've primarily been shopping there for the last couple years only to support a local business. I really can't believe they have left me hanging on this, rather than just accept the product and deal with the back office work of handling a return. When I conveyed that I just like supporting someone local, the clerk responded with, "you ARE supporting us [with this sale], we just can't take it back because the package is opened. Give PetSafe a call." What a joke. Feel free to be a patron, but you better know what you're purchasing because they ultimately don't care.

I spent 5 minutes using the dryer before I was told this. I was told to clean everything up and told that I was not allowed to finish the wash. I was still charged for the service even though I was not able to use it at all. $15... Quote: "We do not want the hair in our store it will get on our products." I've been to plenty of dog washes before. In stores similar to this one...I clean up after myself...but I've never been kicked out of a store for my dog having too much hair. I was told that they would be happy to groom my dog for me. The whole point of a do-it-yourself wash is so that I can literally do it myself... Pretty sure that they just wanted the money for grooming. I won't be back to a place that steals money. If you have a dog that sheds at all don't even try to wash it here because they will charge you and kick you out. If there are stipulations to what kind of dog can be washed that should be posted and perhaps your front counter associate shouldn't allow someone to proceed with a wash if you deem the dog to be "too hairy". So sorry I don't have a poodle.

He made sure we were aware of the different risks to dogs in Floyd versus where we moved from. Reasonably priced as well. Both of our dogs now have a new vet!
