Decent fried food option. I won't get the sides or desserts again though. Love their lemon pepper seasoning.

We picked up about 40 pieces for the family and I must admit, I was impressed. Nice and crispy, temperature-hot and seasoned incredibly well. In fact, it was VERY hot, which was a plus since we had to drive home. My mistake was trying a piece while driving, but it was worth it. The second visit was a bit disappointing. We ordered 70 pieces and couldn't wait to get back home to enjoy them. They were overcooked and almost dried out. We had called the order in prior to picking them up, but I know they weren't sitting out that long, as we drove straight there (about 10 minutes) after placing the order. I thought it was just my pieces, but it turns out they were all like that. I suggested that we notify them and see about getting some of the order replaced but the kids were so hungry that they decided to let it go. I'm not angry with the restaurant and am definitely willing to give them another try, but looking back, I should have told them about the problem. We'll see during the next visit. In the meantime, I can only give them 3 stars. Hopefully next visit will bring up my rating.

We got there just as they opened and we were greeted by either the manager or owner, who was doing a TikTok and told us to say hi to the people...which I gladly did, despite not knowing exactly what was going on. (My daughter had to tell me later. ) But it was a smiling face greeting us at the door and that was nice. I ordered the three piece cod with fries and my daughter had three chicken strips and fries. The food and the sauces (Lemon pepper, Buffalo, and tartar) were very good. Great flavor in the fish, chicken was cooked perfectly tender, and the fries were crispy. I went into the experience thinking the food was going to be either terrible or excellent, no in between...and I was happy it was the latter. It was also very reasonably priced. You definitely get your money's worth. The only reason I give it a 4 and not a 5 is because of the decor...or lack, thereof. Pretty empty looking from the outside. We actually thought they were closed down for good when we got there. In reality, that would only take away half a point, but Yelp doesn't let you do half points. So this rating is really 4.5/5. I would definitely recommend Brothers to anyone looking for a new place for lunch or dinner. Support your local small business and give em a try.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

This spot hit the mark in every way. Their deals are unbelievable. They had one dollar wings for game day along with BOGO meals that included catfish, chicken and even fried lobster. I ordered wings, mac and cheese and collard greens and everything was amazing. The wings were perfectly crispy, the mac tasted like home and the greens were fresh and seasoned beautifully. Most places shortcut and use canned greens but not here. I am so glad I gave this place a try. This is officially my new favorite soul food spot and i highly recommend ! Update: had to come back and update this because I got dessert but hadn't tried it when writing the review, but the banana pudding deserves its own shoutout. I'm always nervous trying banana pudding anywhere new because so many places hit you with that artificial "laffy taffy" banana flavor. Not here. The beauty of a Saturday afternoon is there were sports on and TVs hanging on the walls. That made the wait easy. Boy do they know their stuff bc it was pretty much one hour to the minute when they called our name and escorted us to our table. We sat in a booth and took in on the collection of various items around the bar that have been gathered through the years and had some laughs at some of it. It was almost like a fun game of eye spy! They came to take our drink order and by the time they returned we were ready to order. We chatted for a bit and our food came out in what seemed to be a good time. I ordered the Patty Melt with onion straws. My husband got the Thurman Burger. We were surprised by its size when they came carrying it out to our table. Believe it or not he ate every single bite. Said it was delicious. Mine was equally as delicious. Maybe not quite as big but that was fine by me. I actually quite enjoyed that they served the 1000 island on the side. It made it way easier to eat. The cheese was nice and gooey. Just perfect. The onion straws were good too. I shared those with my husband. They were actually just as good on their own as they were dipped in any kind of sauce. That's big coming from me bc I love dipping! We got a box for our leftovers and headed out happy with a great first time experience here.

I have to admit that ever since moving to Columbus 6 years ago, I've felt that great soul food is hard to come by here, but hers is definitely the exception! Came on a Sunday afternoon and tried the stuffed salmon combo. You are allowed to pick how many sides you want, and the price increases accordingly. I opted for mac n cheese and collard greens, and the greens were some of the best I've ever tried at a restaurant. Also was given a huge portion well worth the price. She was kind enough to let me sample her turkey and dressing which were delicious too. I'll definitely be back!

After a really rough day on the lanes, we were hongry (yes, I spelled that correctly) and wanted soul food. The soul food place we'd visited the last time we were in Columbus closes at 6pm. It's a little after 7. So trusting my fellow Yelpers, I searched out soul food and Kays was very near our hotel. They, the Yelpers, as usual, got it right. Those of you who know us, know that we go in hard. Especially when the place has good customer service reviews. Our fellow Yelpers did not lie. The place is a kitchen staff by Kay herself and a young lady whom I'm assuming is her daughter? Nonetheless, her booming personality and jovial demeanor made us not care about what was cooking in her kitchen! We wanted it. The hand written flipboard menu was nothing less than charming. Made me feel like I was at grandma's where she put a note on the refrigerator saying this is what's for dinner. Don't spoil your appetite before then. Not an expansive daily special menu, which was cool, because when you haven't eaten since breakfast, you tend to go hog wild at the mere thought of food, and typically can't settle on anything. Pimp had pork chops, rice and gravy, and greens. I had the catfish and macaroni and cheese. When I say the silence was palpable when Pimp started chomping that chop ... He completely left the building. Him, pork chops, rice and gravy were in a different ethosphere. He did wish there was more gravy though. Greens were tender and well seasoned. My catfish was rolled with hands that had done family reunion fish frys for a long time. Well seasoned, coated and fried to perfection. The macaroni and cheese had the creamy, stringiness that you like to play with before you fly it into your mouth. It definitely had personality. But the coup de grace was indeed the service. I am completely angry, because we need to eat in this woman's kitchen at least once a month, and Columbus is 3 1/2 hours away from Detroit! The Saraga International Market is interesting in and of itself, but I'll post a different review on that. Kudos Ms. Kay. We're looking forward to them oxtails on our way home tomorrow and to many visits in the future.
