They recently remodeled the building and expanded the menu, which makes it even better. The ambiance is relaxing, and the service is the best. A coworker raved about a fish place and I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I did not get right place. First of all, I could barely hear to order due to the loud (and I mean LOUD) rap music blaring. When I got there , the fish was sitting open in the container. He doused it heavily with some seasoning before closing it. Anyone who cooks, knows that you have to SEASON THE BATTER/FLOUR AND FOOD, especially when frying. The food was ok. Unfortunately staff doesn't know the menu. Couldn't find out any specifics on what type of fish on menu. Food is a bit tasteless. They charge for everything. I would have paid for some seasoning on my food. This is strictly a take out joint. There's no offering of napkin or utensils. Ambiance there is none. Co-Worker ordered food from here, picked it up and brought it back. I had the three wings with fries. It came with a slice of white bread underneath which I didn't eat as I was full from the rest. The fries were lukewarm which can be expected when the drive back is 15 - 20 minutes. The wings were the southern type which seem to have no grease on them. Was hankering for fried fish a few weeks back and was so glad we chose this local eatery that's close to my wife's school. I had the catfish dinner and my wife and kids has chicken tenders and wings. there are a good amount of chicken spots around around columbus that all have good prices and deals so i would say that what comes down to it is taste and service. i walked in, placed my order, food was ready in less than 10 minutes. chicken was season fairly well in my opinion. it didn't feel like it was lacking flavor or was overtly dry in any regard. fries were good, pretty crisp frankly, not very chewy. tried the regular mac n cheese as well and it definitely had a unique flavor - almost a sort of smokiness or savoriness if you will but is definitely worth trying. next time i'll look to try the truffle version of the mac. overall, was satisfied with the meal and didn't spend much. good value, quick service, will definitely be back! read more

I just left this restaurant and I have been going here since I was young. I was in the area and decided to stop by and see if the reviews on here was accurate. I am never afraid to ask the staff if I can look behind the counter or in the kitchen. The restaurant was clean, appliances was clean and staff was friendly. I walk in looking for some good chicken that was not fast food. The place was dirty. There was no one up front but they have cameras. So im guessing the guy in the back was looking at the camera. All i hear is a loud voice from the back screaming " no public bathroom, get out, no public bathroom. I was so taken aback i simply froze for a minute. Then a foreigner(i have nothing against foreigners.btw) comes up and reiterates. His point. I was so disgusted i just shook my head turned away and walked out the door. Didnt say a word because i was kinda speechless. Sat in my car and thought of what i should of did or but chose to keep it moving. I will never give them my even if it was free. GOt a catfish sandwich that was pretty good, probably not enough sauce and the bun would have been better if it wasn't grilled. The hushpuppies were overcooked. Overall it was just ok. Pricing hovers around $9 for a combo. I also noticed they nickle and dime for everything here ($2.75 for pre-pack dessert, $.25 for prepack condiments like tartar sauce??) A lot of people apparently call ahead, because we waiting 15 minutes between ordering and receiving out take out. They had a good can soda collection to choose from though. read more

Not the best chicken I have ever had. My husband and I both ordered the 3 piece leg dinner. He ordered his with fries and I ordered cole slaw. Both of the orders of legs were overcooked and toward the dry side. There was no flavor either. A little salt in the coating mix would have helped a lot. The fries were fishy tasting and not good at all. However, the cole slaw was spoiled as the first taste let you know it was bad and spit it out or get sick. They also did not provide a fork or spoon for the cole slaw either. Both dinners came with two slices of white bread placed under the chicken. The bread was full of grease from the chicken. Our friend ordered the 2 piece chicken breast dinner with fries. He said his was very good and it was the best chicken he had eaten in a long time. We asked if it was dry at all and he said no. He said the fries were terrible. All the dinners were served in strofoam containers, which melted from the heat of the chicken. Maybe they should use boxes with a piece of foil on the bottom to avoid this melting. They did not include napkins either. We did call our order in so we did not have to wait upon arrival. The total cost of the 3 meals was $17.00. Not a bad cost but the food was still not that great. read more
