This is the definition of a hole in the wall place with fantastic food! Don't judge a book by the cover. The place might be dive diner decor but the sea food was 5 star quality! I tried turtle soup here for the first time and I loved it! It was rich and filled with wonderful flavor. I highly recommend it. The waitress was like flow from Alice... just completely down home charm with lots of sass. The shrimp poor boy I had was huge and anything but poor. It was loaded with perfectly cooked fried shrimp and I just could not stop eating it! I wasn't going to finish it but suddenly it was gone and I was stuffed! Get here early as the parking is limited but the wonder food selection is not!

Boudin bits with Tiger sauce

This place was close to my hotel, so I gave it a try. It's not anything special in my opinion, and I've had better food while in New Orleans. It's not, good or bad, just "meh" or in the middle of the road. The charbroiled oysters were cooked nicely, but there was WAYYYYYYYYYY too much Parmesan. Normally, I don't mind cheese, but Parmesan is salty; it was almost too salty even with removing some of it off the oyster. The lemon cut the saltiness and it turned out to be ok. The bread wasn't needed and tasted a little stale. The boudin balls were good. The outside was crispy and the inside was nice and soft. The tiger sauce was really good. These would've been better had they been fresher. The drink was just ok, nothing memorable. The menu is big so there are lots of other items to choose from. Also, there was a long wait, so maybe the food is good and it was just the items that I selected. It's a decently quick bite if you're just passing by or stay near.

Dozen Chargrilled Oysters

Needed chargrilled oysters so stopped as I was leaving the city about to hop on the interstate. SO GOOD and the service is even better. I wish I remembered the young lady's name. Young, curly hair. You just can't beat good customer service with great food! Can't wait to come back as I was leaving I saw someone order crawfish that looked TO DIE FOR. And while I'm still here I must admit that my dinner was SO good I ordered another to go lol.

a bowl of shrimp and a bowl of shrimp

If I could give negative stars, this place sure deserves -5 for both their horrible seafood products as well as their terrible employees !!! When I said something to the little girl who was weighing them about the handfuls of ice she included in the weight, she rolled her eyes, huffed, & took the ice out then broke the scale flinging it across the room that someone else had to come by & fix it ... when I turned to go to the register m, the two little girls looked at me & started talking about me behind my back ... Yes, little girls do that still, but good employees do not !!! They used to be the best in town but that it no longer the case ... bought what they labeled as "medium" shrimp which were 75% smalls, full of heads only, small fish, & pieces ! The worse part was when I got them home to cook them, THEY WERE SLIMY !!! I had to throw them away rather than make my family sick ! *** BUYERS BEWARE !!! ***

Don't remember what this was called but was about $17

This is an extremely casual place, that is both a seafood market and restaurant. I chose to lunch in. The service is friendly and familiar. I felt just as welcomed as the regulars. The menu is full of tempting selections, but knew a few things I wanted. I started off with a cup of seafood gumbo. After the first bite, I regretted not getting a bowl! Next time! It was rich and flavorful, and was clearly not rushed. Next, I also tried the chicken and andouille gumbo. Also excellent, but just slightly shy of the seafood version. The main portion of the meal was what I came for: the crawfish boil. I asked for spicy, and was informed there was only "just right," and they were correct. Initially, I was surprised that the dish came out warm, but not hot, but that, too, was just right. Oh, and the price! Usually, when you see "market price," you expect to lighten your wallet a bit, but in this case, that meant $5.99 for pound. It's crawfish season, I'm told, but still.... I'm used to paying a lot more. The decor is vintage jazz festival posters. Also, since this Women's History Month, the place is women-owned

Was looking forward to the lemongrass sauce with squash but ended up liking the classic a bit better. There were a decent amount of big crawfish, but my husbands batch was very hit and miss, many were very small and limp, unable to eat about a third of them. Big tables, lots of space. Decent TVs to catch games on. Nice selection of drinks, the mint lychee drink was strong. Service was great.

After 5ppl they charge you a gratuity fee. Which that's fine, but at least work for the gratuity fee. I feel like waiters that get gratuity feel as though they don't have to work because they have already gotten my tip. Also they charge you $15 if you bring a cake into their establishment. Also I DID not like how they treated a group of "black" young men that came into the restaurant. The food was absolutely disgusting.i hate swai fish. And if your restaurant isn't serving "REAL" catfish at least advertise that on your menu. The fries were hard and overcooked. The egg rolls were semi decent. Definitely would not recommend this place of business
