    Potato salad and cold slaw
    Earl A.

I have visited before when I used to leave in New Orleans, so I was familiar with their food but it has been over20 years ago. I was arriving from Houston on a short trip and had been on the road for several hours and I decided to stop on my way in. It wasn't very crowded so parking was no problem. I was immediately seated and given a menu. I decided on fried catfish which cam with a small corn on the cob, some French bread and additionally coleslaw and potato salad. I had a Moscow mule type drink while I waited. My meal came out nice and hot and I immediately knew I couldn't eat all of this. The fish was crispy and the cold slaw was creamy . The service was excellent and my server even recommended a few dishes before I ordered but I had made up my mind before I sat down. Definitely a place for good seafood and there is a seafood market next door.

Ummm... I wouldn't return....ever. The service from Eliana and the hostess is what gets the two stars. The food left SO much to be desired. In a place that is known for its amazing flavor this is not where you want to go. The alligator bites blackened were decent. They had the seasoning all the other items needed. A little heavier on the salt but if I were to return, which I won't, I would order those again. For my entree, I ordered the seafood combo and I am not saucy meaning I typically want my food to stand on its own. This needed hot sauce and salt and pepper and anything else. The fried soft shell crab literally tasted like dough they dropped in the fryer. The potato salad was also decent. My friend girl dined with me and she had the catfish your way. She said hers tasted like it had freezer burn. She also did not finish her food and agreed with the potato salad being good. So disappointed

Upon exiting our vehicle, there was quite a stench. However, we realized that, connected to the restaurant, was a seafood market. We stumbled upon this place on a whim on our way home from New Orleans. One last taste of Gulf seafood would fare us well. The restaurant seemed like a "hole"; not a "vibe" like the kids would say. We went on a Thursday around 11:30am. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and where else can you get a pitcher of beer for $9?! My husband ordered the lunch special, which was angel hair pasta with crab meat topped with crab cakes. I ordered the gumbo with half a fried shrimp po-boy. I had a po-boy from Napoleon House last night - while this one was good, it wasn't the best I had. The gumbo and pasta dish were delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Delicious oysters, catfish and crawfish! We were seated almost immediately and service was fast. It's a cute family vibe run restaurant with a steady amount of customers even at around 1 pm. Crawfish came out fresh and steamed, catfish was soooo flaky and soft even though it was fried! Definitely my favorite. The charbroiled oysters were covered in a garlic butter but they were also very well cooked. Definitely a good stop right by the airport before a flight!

I've always passed by Harbor on Williams but this is my first time getting to try it! At first glance it seems small on the outside, but there is actually a decent amount of seating. The menu had lots of options, but I went with the shrimp poboy. It was good! The shrimp did not blow me away though. I got a side of ranch and it wasn't restaurant ranch iykyk. My sister got the seafood gumbo which she enjoyed. Our server was nice and attentive. Overall, didn't have a bad experience but I've just had better!

The biggest oysters I've ever seen

Ok, I went here for oysters on the half shell. Boy was I happy! These were the biggest oysters I've ever seen. Table mates had a Caesar salad with crab, bowl of shrimp and corn chowder and a special with shrimp that they claimed were jumbo but more medium shrimp. Overall good service and good food!

The food was wonderful. Fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. The restaurant is a little outdated, but it was clean. The service was not so great. Our waitress was less than enthusiastic about working. But the food really was good, so they get 4 stars.

Crab fingers with lots of sauces
    Gammie L.

I had ordered Togo when I was in town. I always crave crab fingers and theirs was delish. Very straightforward no frills. I had ordered it to be blackened and they packed a lot of sauces for me. However, I am quite disappointed in the oysters bc I never got it! I ordered 1/2 dozen charbroiled but never received it but was charged. But the crab fingers were really good. No fishiness or anything and super meaty. Would definitely come back whenever I make the trip back.

Casual seafood restaurant and bar! Drinks were strong and well priced. The oysters were delicious. We had raw and the chargrilled which are my favorite. For an entree we had the soft shell crab po boy and wow was it amazing! Our friends were visiting from out of town and loved it! They had been to a French Quarter oyster house that was higher priced and they did not like. Our server was friendly and attentive. My one quirk is that the restroom floors were wet and nasty.

"crawfish" bloody Mary (with shrimp since it's off season)
    Elizabeth D.

We were recommended to try Harbor seafood & oyster bar for oysters and softshell crabs, so I made reservations for a party of 4, and they were ready with plenty of seats when we arrived. Pros: the food was fantastic! Softshell crabs were a bit on the small side, but it's understandably the end of the season. We loved that the batter was good so you could really appreciate them without the batter being overpowering. Their oyster sampler and chargrilled oysters were fantastic. The "crawfish" (large boiled shrimp instead because it's off season) bloody Mary was fantastic. Food came out quickly and portions were awesome. Cons: service needed work (yes, I brought it up while I was there, and the manager seemed very, very confused). Our waitress was very sweet, and checked on us often, but messed up our order several times. She accidentally duplicated one order, but different wait staff (& the young manager? who even splashed soup on one of our diners) brought the food to the table. I mentioned the error the moment they placed the food down. Despite explaining the error, the manager seemed super confused, and asked a couple of times what was wrong, before going to ask the waitress in front of us and pointing at the order paper. She seemed stressed, so we told her we'd keep the incorrect order (seafood platter instead of softshell platter) to not inconvenience her, but mentioned that we'd at least like them to correct one of the sides we really wanted to try (we'd ordered side salad & hush puppies, they gave us potato salad & harbor potatoes). I asked the manager if he could swap the incorrect side for the correct side. He seemed out of it and very confused and asked if we wanted him to take the whole order away, I said no, we just wanted the hush puppies side we originally ordered. He walked away, then came back and asked if we wanted a side of hush puppies and we said yes? (Because we had ordered a meal with hush puppies as our side). He said he'd bring us a side of hush puppies. Waitress comes over and apologizes and says the confusion was that she wrote "hp" for harbor potatoes AND hush puppies (doesn't explain how she mixed up a softshell crab platter with a seafood platter and a salad with ranch for potato salad). When I got the check, she charged us for the incorrect order AND added a side of hush puppies. I didn't ask them to correct the entire incorrect meal, but I asked why they charged us extra for the side they got wrong. The waitress said it's because we kept the incorrect side (I had asked the manager to swap them out, he didn't). She says she'll ask him about it, and I hear them arguing loudly in the back. She comes out upset and says he won't remove it, so she guesses she'll just have to pay for them herself. Just disappointed in how management handled a common food industry error and how they treated the waitress. I'm not sure if anything else was going on that night, but I'm happy to chat with more senior management since I couldn't find an email on their website.

Crawfish wise, we ended up getting 5 pounds of the Viet Cajun and 5 pounds of the EZ blend along with sides of corn, sausage and potatoes. Everything was great and had a lot of flavor, and we were pretty surprised by the size of the crawfish. I really enjoyed both flavors though if I had to pick, I would say the Viet Cajun was better and had more flavor. My table had four of us and we weren't able to finish everything. Overall, this spot was delicious and I love all of the variety. I love variety and options, so I will say that I wish there were more flavor options for the crawfish!

One restaurant that locals constantly recommended to me was Drago's Seafood in Metairie, and now I completely understand why. I ordered the charbroiled oysters along with the crawfish platter that came with crawfish étouffée, crawfish mac and cheese, and fried crawfish. Every single thing on the table was incredible. The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype rich, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. The crawfish platter was just as impressive and gave me a chance to try multiple Louisiana dishes all in one meal. What really stood out to me beyond the food was the service. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient with questions from someone who isn't from Louisiana and still learning the local food scene. You can tell they take pride in both the restaurant and the hospitality. The only downside is parking can get a little complicated because the place fills up fast, which honestly says a lot about how popular it is. Just plan ahead or expect a short wait finding a spot. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that feels genuinely loved by locals and absolutely worth visiting if you're traveling through the New Orleans area.

My bartender, Darryl, took fantastic care of me. Vibes in this place are very warm and cozy, I sat at the bar to the right of the entrance as you walk in. I had a half dozen char grilled oysters and a cup of seafood gumbo. I see why the oysters are so popular, they are a hit. Buttery and garlicky, the crusty bread they serve with them is a great compliment to soak up the sauce. I had originally intended on getting the chicken and andouille gumbo but Darryl steered me away from it, he said it was very salty. I trusted his word and went with the seafood gumbo instead and was very pleased with it. The flavors were fantastic, but I am gonna ding it ever so slightly as I think $8.99 is kind of an obscene price for that serving size, but at least it was good. Overall I'm very satisfied with my lunch and the service, I think if you like seafood and you're in their area, you should eat here. Edit - $9 for a pint is a little over the top too, imo. My "light lunch" was $42 before the tip.
