    Huge crawfish
    Seth M.

Great prices on crawfish, they were a little cheaper than most places in the area and a great size.

I'm that girl that's all about pinching heads & sucking tails... All things CRAWFISH!!!! And Michael's fits the bill. The price is right. The taste is GREAT. The location is good. Friendly staff. And they ANSWER THE PHONE when you call. Winnnnning!!!!! Initially, I stopped in for shrimp some time ago, but then as of late, I've returned for Crawfish & I've not been disappointed yet. 10lbs or more and you have a discounted price on the mud bugs. I noticed other items in the freezer & I've stored this in the recesses of my mind, but my recent visits have been ALL about the CRAWFISH. This is one of my "go to" places for Crawfish & I couldn't be happier. Don't be surprised if you see me here when you come, you've been warned.

I bought me some crawfish for $3.99 lb and 7 lbs of raw shrimp for $3.99 lb...THE CRAWFISH WAS GOOD !!! It wasn't spicy at all. They also take EBT.

Boiled crawfish is not great but good enough when options are limited. Usually hot and the sizes are good, not super flavorful but not the worse either. Friendly service, parking is limited though. My biggest complaint is--you pay for 10lbs of booked crawfish but in reality, you're getting about 8, because the rest is trash...lemon peels, celery, etc. And I've mentioned it nicely, but it doesn't help. No other seafood place does this. I think it's a bit of a scam, on their part done purposely. Stretching that boil.

This is my 3rd time here, and man I'm telling you these folks have some of the best tasting Crawfish in this city. I should also mention they are cheaper by as much as a dollar a pound. Crawfish are plentiful right now and most places are charging over $4.00 a pound. That is Highway robbery for Crawfish. There in one place on Chef Hwy. charging over $5.00 a pound. That is absolutly crazy. But I digress, Michael's is the real deal. If I'm willing to drive from the other side of town 10 pounds minimum is in order. When I got them home they went like wild fire. I was left wondering why I didn't get more. $3.24 was the price today which is reasonable compared to the others. Top of my list now.

    Crawfish 2016. $3.59/ lbs

Crawfish boil was not made to order. It's precooked, placed in a clear bucket and scooped out when ready to be sold. It was cold as well. When I dumped out into a larger bowl, I noticed there were celery, garlic gloves and round onions (cut in half) which was charged to me in the weight. All of that "extra" boil stuff should have been taken out before weighing. It weighed at least a pound. Considering I paid $3.59 a pound, I should have to pay for theses garnish. Crawfish is soft. Has decent flavoring to it but I am paying for live boiled crawfish during crawfish season...no frozen crawfish. Thanks but no thanks. I gave two stars for the flavor but that's it.

buy one dozen medium crabs get 1/2 dozen free! yum.

The capers and olive oil really paired well with it. We met one of the chef-owners and she was very helpful and kind! Really sad that they were out of a lot of things like the daiquiris, crudo, ceviche, tostadas, oysters, etc. due to it being right after Labor Day.

The Good: The Staff was lovely and the Tostada was AMAZING!…read more The Bad: Everything else... Outside of the Tostadas, the food we had was shockingly bad. The fried "Captain's Platter" is $35, it's worth maybe $12. It was 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and a decent sized piece of fish, all considerably over-fried, with fairly plain coleslaw and hushpuppies that looked like they had been cooking since the shift the day before. --- I honestly couldn't believe this was brought to the table, but it seemed normal so apparently that is how it is served there. It was VERY small and fairly overcooked. The boiled crabs were mush. Decent flavor, not great. Would not recommend. The charbroiled oysters again seemed to have been cooking for 3-4 times longer than they should have. They were rubber, flavorless and unappetizing to look at. They were pretty bad. - At least they were clean. I didn't get any shell. But I also didn't get any oyster in 1 of the 6 oysters served at $18. Then we got a Sausage Poboy. The sausage was decent, but the sandwich wasn't good. WHY WOULD YOU TOAST THE BREAD? NO ONE WANTS SAUSAGE BETWEEN TWO CROUTONS. Just kind of a weird mistake that makes you wonder if anyone there has tried to eat any of their own food. Because it's not easy... Honestly 90% of the food we got there was pretty bad. But we will be back for Tostada alone. That was phenomenal. 10/10 Delicious.

Yelp has this listed more like a restaurant, and it's definitely not. It's where you go to buy the freshest uncooked seafood in the city and then take it home and make beautiful things happen with it. This company has 3 locations in S. Louisiana and each is basically a shipping facility that has a retail store in the front. Everything they carry is the freshest possible and they're happy to sell you a pound or a thousand pounds. The turtle meat, frog legs, and alligator tail are especially good. They also have literally every fish that can be found anywhere. The staff here are just so friendly and accommodating. If they're sold out of something that day, they'll be really nice and hold some of it for you from the next day's catch. If you're in a hurry (or just lazy), they'll even be super nice and boil the crawfish you buy. If you need cooking ideas, they'll always help you out. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and I've never had a bad experience. Everything is the best quality, fresh, and everyone that works here is so pleasant. The place isn't fancy, but it's extremely clean. Prices aren't dirt cheap, but seafood prices never are. Definitely do your seafood shopping here. I can't possibly recommend Louisiana Seafood Exchange highly enough.
