Captain Sid's has the BEST boiled crawfish in the area. My husband and I always get our crawfish here when we visit NO. Their seasoning is so good! It's spicy and super flavorful.

I wanted large, easy to peel, raw shrimp. I bought them here and they were perfect. The lady behind the counter was very nice. Captain Sid's is clean and has parking.

Ray came through in a clutch situation for Senior graduation crawfish boil w 175lbs shipped to ATL. Storm knocked out power to the area including NOLA airport but Ray persisted & found the last FedEx Ground truck leaving NOLA for ATL in time for the party. Crawfish arrived 2 hours before festivities for the WIN!

So I have to admit, it's been a very long time since I've had boiled crawfish. Sid's did not disappoint! The crawfish were seasoned perfectly, the potatoes were delicious, and being able to buy boiled garlic is awesome. The staff was very polite and got my food quickly for me. Overall, a great experience!

Crawfish was amazing! Finally someone who isn't afraid to make the crawfish spicy. Stuffed artichoke was terrible, taste wasn't the worse but the leaves/heart was hard, hardly any leaves were actually stuffed, everything just theow *Contacted my Captain Sids about above artichoke comment, thank you for that, I didn't expect anything but how nice it is to have a business care. I mainly was making sure ya knew in case ya had someone new doing them. I would never stop patronizing the business, y'all are the best around. Thanks so much for everything!

Went there twice this week to grab boiled crawfish and boiled shrimp on my short trip to Louisiana (I'm from New Jersey). They were both very good and readily available. I think the seafood could be seasoned hotter, but I guess they have to tailor to everyone. Will return next time I'm down that way!

Love Sid's! I've been living directly across the street from them for one year now and love it. Sid's is reasonably priced and always has fresh seafood. The crew that works there are all nice. Shrimp, fish, crabs, gumbo, etc. They also have crabs on sale almost every day. Get a dozen small crabs for $10 (best deal in town). Sid's has it all!

I never know where to go to get boiled crawfish, but I am glad I stopped by here! Just like the other reviews, they mentioned the seasoning being really clean and what not. I mean it's not super spicy or overly seasoning, very mild. I personally love spicy so it would've been nice to have some kick, but not everyone likes spice like I do. The size of the crawfish were really good sized, large. We also ordered 1/2 a pound of sausage to go with our crawfish. It was cut into an 1 1/2" bites, nice and juicy with good flavors. Crawfish boiled - $3 lb. cash, $3.25 lb. card Sausage - $6.99 lb They also offer a variety of other pre-made fresh/frozen items like stuff crabs, pastas, and other dishes that compliments seafood. Tip - You can get an additional .25 cents off a pound for crawfish! You can tell it's a family owned place and the people were very friendly! I will def be back to try more of their seafood.

Fantastic crawfish! They were well seasoned, hot, and a great size. The prices were fair in relation to the market price. Will be back!

Unfortunately, my experience at the Metairie location was extremely disappointing. This was my second visit. The first time, they were out of oysters. This time, the oysters arrived with a noticeable, pungent odor and were extremely small. After trying the first few, I bit into the fourth and immediately knew it was bad. I notified the manager, Tiffany, who told me the oysters would not make me sick and offered to credit me for the ones I didn't eat. I found that response concerning and not the level of customer service I would expect when a customer reports a potentially spoiled food item. I will not return to the Metairie location. I'll stick with the New Orleans French Quarter location, where I've always had a good experience.

It teaches knife skills, safety, and you get to take your fresh fish home and cook a delicious meal with it. They also have a bar inside, of course it is New Orleans, and I got an espresso martini and it was quite good! So great fresh fish and cocktails! The fish class came with two large fish, you got to keep the knife, and learned skills. The lady monger demonstrated on her fish, and then watches you carefully, guiding you to ensure the best technique. There was about 4 people per cutting table and they also required use to wear apron and gloves. Don't feel intimidated because they are right there guiding, ensuring safety. It was a fun unique experience. Even if you know how to gut a fish, you may still learn something new! I have to come back and try some these fresh sandwiches or poboys. There is so much greatness here, you just have to swing by and check it out yourself!

The Good: The Staff was lovely and the Tostada was AMAZING!…read more The Bad: Everything else... Outside of the Tostadas, the food we had was shockingly bad. The fried "Captain's Platter" is $35, it's worth maybe $12. It was 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and a decent sized piece of fish, all considerably over-fried, with fairly plain coleslaw and hushpuppies that looked like they had been cooking since the shift the day before. --- I honestly couldn't believe this was brought to the table, but it seemed normal so apparently that is how it is served there. It was VERY small and fairly overcooked. The boiled crabs were mush. Decent flavor, not great. Would not recommend. The charbroiled oysters again seemed to have been cooking for 3-4 times longer than they should have. They were rubber, flavorless and unappetizing to look at. They were pretty bad. - At least they were clean. I didn't get any shell. But I also didn't get any oyster in 1 of the 6 oysters served at $18. Then we got a Sausage Poboy. The sausage was decent, but the sandwich wasn't good. WHY WOULD YOU TOAST THE BREAD? NO ONE WANTS SAUSAGE BETWEEN TWO CROUTONS. Just kind of a weird mistake that makes you wonder if anyone there has tried to eat any of their own food. Because it's not easy... Honestly 90% of the food we got there was pretty bad. But we will be back for Tostada alone. That was phenomenal. 10/10 Delicious.

He told us about the specials and my mouth was drooling when he said soft shell crab. We started with the smoked salmon dip which was so creamy and delicious. For entrees the hubby had the blackened drum topped with blackened shrimp over Brabant potatoes. He was kind enough to give me a bite and oh boy it was so good. I, of course, had the fried soft shell crab special over smoky asparagus. The crab was topped with more crabmeat and a beurre blanc sauce. The crab was cleaned so well and then lightly fried. It was a very fat crab and every bite was a culinary delight. This was by far the best soft shell crab dish I have ever had. I certainly don't say that lightly because I eat soft shell crabs from the start of the season right up to the end. We were so full that there would be no need to eat dinner. Then Vince of course mentioned the desserts and we chose the chocolate peanut butter doberge cake with chocolate ganache. We told him to make it to go and do not open the box when he brought it to the table! Overall, Station 6 treated us to one of the best meals we have ever had. We're locals and our favorite pastime is eating out at locally owned restaurants. Station 6 is definitely ranked in our top 3!!
