I'll start with the good things about the park: It was easy access from Highway 101. The entrance was marked well, and it was navigable in a big rig (we did need to have someone move a vehicle when we were leaving due to cars being parked in the street since spaces are so tight). Our site was concrete and was very level. The wi-fi worked pretty well where we were located and there were no obstacles for satellite TV with our roof mounted dish. Hook-ups worked well at our site but another camper a few sites down from us had issues with a plugged sewer line. The park was quiet (the railroad yard nearby was not very active) and there is a walking trail from the park that leads to the Coos Bay boardwalk. There were some homeless people living in the rail yard but they were not panhandling on the walkway. And, the park is in close proximity to many great places on the coast. Now, the downsides: The sites are extremely tight. We had no room to sit outside, and it is even difficult to park your vehicle. The dog walk area is full of dog poop, and it's hard to walk without stepping in the waste. Which leads to management being on site only three days a week. If you have an issue you need to call and leave a message. Water pressure was low at our site. Finally, we were sure to not leave things outside of our RV due to the lack of management presence and the homeless population in the rail yard. The park is primarily full-time residents but they were very friendly to us. Again, not a bad park, but it's hard to enjoy fully when there isn't room to sit outside.

The full timers at the park have lots a junk around there trailers. The bathrooms were the worst. I don't think they have been cleaned in years. They had so much mold, it was gross. The…read moresituation has been discussed several times over the last 10 months When we moved here we were told better internet will be here in a couple of weeks and new arrived 4 months later and it is as bad as the previous and management refuses to do anything as it might cost more money (direct quote) I have never had the problem at any RV park I have lived in. The fact is the signal is so weak that even our Firestick with a booster will not connect. We were told we could get our own internet, and many people do that but, I will not. The WiFi is advertised on their website and it is false advertising. I have WORKED for 50 years on computers and have managed to keep the green light on and working with some very complicated computer systems. I am not a light weight when it comes to computers I have done a bit of programming. We were given a rent reduction because we wondered why new residents were given a better rate so ours was reduced by $100 probably for only one month. That does not alleviate the problem with the WiFi which I need because I am going to have to use it to work as my partner just had his $600 SSI check taken away, thank you DONNY, for removing the check of a disabled Vet. There is no sympathy or help from management and I am not able to work on the internet because every time I try the signal is so weak that the work times out; companies do not pay for time outs. Oh, by the way the satellite TV also sucks it has 17 channels and most of them are useless for anyone with half a brain to watch. If you have a high end RV you will want to be aware of the craters in the park that they routinely throw a little gravel in the holes when they should be using Quickcrete. When it rains the water around the office is ankle deep and you have to wade through it to get into the office, no apologies. When I asked about a French drain they said it had already been done. Later, I found out why; the park sits in the middle of a wetland and it will never be dry here, I cannot keep my spices dry or my sugar or my flour. We are looking further north so don't say why do you not move, We are seniors living on a fixed income and now even that has been greatly reduced, so moving is not so easy and when your health is not great it is very hard. Being told to move to another site in the park,requires bringing in the slides and makes a huge amount of work and management either does not know or does not care what it requires for two seniors (almost 80) to make that move just across the park. When I move it will not be to relocate just to get the internet. Make your own decisions. These are my opinions.

The Manager is nice and friendly and the Maintenance man is very helpful!…read moreThey have shower rooms and rec room with a workout area and 24 Cable channels at every site included in the rent! You also get a discount on your propane refills if you stay in the park to make up for the electric charge. You can put storage buildings on your site or build a porch for your RV. They have a pet area for the furbabies, and best of all, NO BREED OR WEIGHT RESRTICTIONS!! The only rule is they must be well mannered and friendly. The owner lives in the park, but he takes care of his wife who is terminally sick, so you don't see him much. Overall, this park is GREAT! The facilities are upkept and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, it is conviently located about 2mi from The Dunes, and witnin walking distance for crabbing and fishing in Winchester Bay, OR right on Hwy 101, and best of all AFFORDABLE! If you are coming through the area stop in and stay awhile, you won't regret it!

We stayed here during a time that they were having terrible storms on the Oregon coast, high winds…read moreand lots of rain. I know it rains a lot in Oregon but this was torrential rains. The gentleman in the office was very nice and warned us of the upcoming storms. He told me of some great restaurants and a light show at a nearby botanical garden that was decorated for the holidays. Our spot was a pull thru that was paved and plenty long enough to accommodate our rig, full hook ups with a picnic table. The park has mostly full time tenants as you can tell but not in that creepy feeling full timers. As this is a very well kept park. As we drove through Coos Bay we noticed that this was the right choice in places to stay. Our only gripe was the trash cans are on the opposite ends of the park so in the nasty weather you are running to get to the trash. And the pet area was a little small, although they do supply a pooper scooper which is much better to clean up after our furry friends.

We were greeted by Pam who checked us in, gave us a tour of the property, and escorted us to our site. Showers and laundry were clean, and the patio was the perfect place to watch the river flow. Easy to park our rig and car. Good hook ups and amenities were easy to get to. There is not much to this park. You can walk down to the river, swim at your leisure, fish off the dock. There are showers and laundry. A handful of tent sites, bbq and fire pit (when permitted). It was so quiet and peaceful! A great perk. A quick drive to some awesome waterfalls, the casino and the dunes. Nothing took us more than 25 minutes to get to.

With the temperatures expected to hit 106 in Salem, it seemed like the perfect time to get away. I lost my wifi signal halfway to Florence and wasn't sure I was headed the right direction, but followed the signs and eventually made it to the coast. We had three sites reserved, and enough supplies for a week. Each site has enough space for at least 2 tents, maybe three, depending upon size. You're allowed 2 cars per site, one included with your reservation. Any additional vehicles must pay $8 / day, which they'll come around to collect or remind you about. There are several grocery stores and restaurants in the area if you forget something, but it seems towels were in short supply when a friend went to go look for one. Each site includes a picnic table and firepit with a grill top. My brother brought a plancha grill top that made cooking for our group a breeze! What to bring: closed toe shoes & socks for the trails, fishing pole and raft for the lake, ear plugs and face mask if you're a light sleeper, and extra TP. The facilities were a hole in the ground locked bathroom with hand sanitizer (and flies everywhere). I found the flushable toilet by the lake to be worth the walk and much cleaner (less traffic). Nice walking trails and shaded areas. I wish we could've stayed a few more days!
