The views can't be beat. The laundry and shower facilities are cleaned everyday by camp hosts. And, the camp hosts are SO helpful. There are NO long term RV's here. It seems that there just be a limit on how long you can stay before you might need to relate to another spot. The laundry is not over priced here. $2 to wash and $1.50 to dry. Last place it was $3 and $3. If you are looking for a in this area-this is it. It sets the bar very high.

The campgrounds aren't much to write about. In fact they were just pretty mediocre compared to some…read moreother campgrounds i've been to in the past. However, the biggest draw that this place has is the fact that it's right next to the coastal dunes. just a 3 minute walk from our campsite was a step into an awe inspiring landscape. Amazing sand dunes canvasing the landscape that seem like they are forever changing. It felt like we had left Oregon and stepped into the Sahara, but you could still see the forests in the surrounding areas along the horizon. Absolutely amazing. The restrooms at these campsites were nothing to speak of either. They're what you'd expect from a public park, and no showers on the premises either. Firewood is not available in the park, but is available just down the street. We camped in early September, and the weather was amazing. A tad crisp in the morning, but otherwise awesome, sunny but not hot at all. Nice quiet place literally right off the highway, so it's easy to get to. Careful not to miss the sign though, as we did, and ended up driving ~8 miles past it before we realized it.

This park did not have a campground host. It is far too big to operate with no one of authority here. Many dogs running loose. Owners simply ignored the leash rules. Noisy on weekends. The check in was easy, our host attendant , gave us clear instructions to our airstream. We were a bit confused the first day and evening about how to contact someone after hours. I kept getting the bot when I went on to the website. Finally when I googled Bay Point Landing General store, I found that part of the site. From then on it was a breeze to getting help. The airstream was well stocked. Dishware, glasses, utensils, cookware and cooking utensils. Linens were clean, we even had lovely doggy baskets for our pups. Complete with towels, dishes, treats, leashes and sheets to cover bed and sofa. They have activities everyday to attend. We did the happy hour the first night, it was very nice sitting looking over the water and enjoying a glass or two of wine. I was grateful for the broom that was in the airstream, sweep out the RV multiple times a day. The airstream comes with dish rags and dishes towels, but no dish soap you can purchase that at the General store. This is not glamping, as some reviews seemed to think. But it is a step above RVing in a state park. There are nice amenities and can make as many improvements as you want, but they cost. We were happy with the close proximity to the state parks, restaurants and grocery stores. We look forward to our next stay at Bay Point Landing.

We all booked waterfront cabins and we noticed they had slightly different layouts. One style was older and not as modern. The other style of cabins were gorgeous and well maintained. They were all stocked with nice plates, kitchen wares, and high quality bedding Pros: - service was great, you could text the main line and have items delivered to your door - purchases could be delivered to their address and was very secure at the front desk - very cute property with an indoor pool, kids room, dog wash, and laundry area Cons: - Our "waterfront" view also only had a small strip of the...eh...marsh? Not sure you get exactly what you booked. - the "beach" was was covered in seaweed and bugs. Drive out to Sunset beach (15 mins away) instead!

The…read moresituation has been discussed several times over the last 10 months When we moved here we were told better internet will be here in a couple of weeks and new arrived 4 months later and it is as bad as the previous and management refuses to do anything as it might cost more money (direct quote) I have never had the problem at any RV park I have lived in. The fact is the signal is so weak that even our Firestick with a booster will not connect. We were told we could get our own internet, and many people do that but, I will not. The WiFi is advertised on their website and it is false advertising. I have WORKED for 50 years on computers and have managed to keep the green light on and working with some very complicated computer systems. I am not a light weight when it comes to computers I have done a bit of programming. We were given a rent reduction because we wondered why new residents were given a better rate so ours was reduced by $100 probably for only one month. That does not alleviate the problem with the WiFi which I need because I am going to have to use it to work as my partner just had his $600 SSI check taken away, thank you DONNY, for removing the check of a disabled Vet. There is no sympathy or help from management and I am not able to work on the internet because every time I try the signal is so weak that the work times out; companies do not pay for time outs. Oh, by the way the satellite TV also sucks it has 17 channels and most of them are useless for anyone with half a brain to watch. If you have a high end RV you will want to be aware of the craters in the park that they routinely throw a little gravel in the holes when they should be using Quickcrete. When it rains the water around the office is ankle deep and you have to wade through it to get into the office, no apologies. When I asked about a French drain they said it had already been done. Later, I found out why; the park sits in the middle of a wetland and it will never be dry here, I cannot keep my spices dry or my sugar or my flour. We are looking further north so don't say why do you not move, We are seniors living on a fixed income and now even that has been greatly reduced, so moving is not so easy and when your health is not great it is very hard. Being told to move to another site in the park,requires bringing in the slides and makes a huge amount of work and management either does not know or does not care what it requires for two seniors (almost 80) to make that move just across the park. When I move it will not be to relocate just to get the internet. Make your own decisions. These are my opinions.

You also get a discount on your propane refills if you stay in the park to make up for the electric charge. You can put storage buildings on your site or build a porch for your RV. They have a pet area for the furbabies, and best of all, NO BREED OR WEIGHT RESRTICTIONS!! The only rule is they must be well mannered and friendly. The owner lives in the park, but he takes care of his wife who is terminally sick, so you don't see him much. Overall, this park is GREAT! The facilities are upkept and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, it is conviently located about 2mi from The Dunes, and witnin walking distance for crabbing and fishing in Winchester Bay, OR right on Hwy 101, and best of all AFFORDABLE! If you are coming through the area stop in and stay awhile, you won't regret it!

I loved the Itty Bitty Inn so much!!!…read more This is easily the best motel that I have ever stayed at - or even heard of, for that matter. It is, in fact, so much better than the second-best motel that I don't even know what the second-best motel I've been to is! Not only is the Itty Bitty Inn now a must-stay for me on my next trip up the Oregon Coast, but it is so great that it has dramatically increased the likelihood that I will be driving back up the Coast soon. I'm still shocked that the Lonely Planet guide didn't mention it. Rick (the owner) is the coolest. The first thing that he did was give my friend and I a rundown of Coos Bay hotspots. Then he showed us to our beautifully decorated and upholstered rooms - we had the two Tiki-themed rooms, each of which had too much detail to even be done justice by a picture. He proceeded to then pour us complementary beers and directed us to the outdoor patio for lounging and decompression after our trip. I felt like the King of France! I now absolutely need to stay in every one of the rooms for at least a night (there are 5 total, each with a different theme). This is no trivial feat, as apparently new complete redesigns are always in the planning stages. I can't wait to see the place next time I'm in town!!!
