Went to a wedding here and it was perfect. Really nice indoor area for ceremony with big windows looking out to the patio/garden area. Outdoor area is really cute and a perfect place for a cocktail hour. Appetizers were good and all the staff was friendly. The main hall area is gorgeous and with the lights it had a perfect rustic feel to it. Would definitely recommend this place for a wedding. Also the food was really good! Some steaks were a bit over cooked but that's about it.

Lower patio (no table service but you can order food at the bar & bring it here)

Outdoor patio = 4.5 stars. It's absolutely gorgeous Food = 3.75 stars. It's a limited menu, but what's offered is good with a few minor technical flaws. (e.g., potato chips super greasy, got our order wrong but food was still tasty) We stopped by on a whim. It's been over 25 yrs since we were here last. (I still have the matchbook they gave us with my then-boyfriend-now-husband's last name) The weather was spectacular & they had live music. We sat at the bar & service was just okay. (To be fair, she was really busy) We enjoyed the Caribbean Shrimp & Filet Sliders. (Originally ordered the Filet tacos, but nbd) Everything is served as small plates, room temperature. Which sounds odd, but it was actually really good. Guac was housemade, along with the chips (super good) Beef was a nice med rare & the shrimp perfectly cooked. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We're looking forward to coming again with friends.

A family favorite for years. The Fisherman's Inn in Elburn, IL is delicious, elegant and friendly. This is one restaurant we go back to constantly when we are searching for a really nice meal. When looking for a nicer dinner or someplace to go for a celebration (birthdays, anniversaries, graduation?) this is it. I say for a special occasion because it is a bit on the pricier side. The staff is friendly and efficient. They handle banquets as well. Our family has held company Christmas parties there for about 10 years and we have always been pleased. The environment is very fun for young and old. There is even a Captain's Table in the silo you can reserve for larger dinner parties -- that was lots of fun! You may walk the grounds on the paths and also feed the fish in the stocked ponds. Feel free to check out the web site for a bit of history on the ponds, the barn the restaurant is in and for directions: http://fishermens-inn.com/

Fisherman's inn was the most amazing experience ever! Not only is it such a beautiful place but it also comes with an even better coordinator Mandy! From start to finish she was unbelievable. She is always sweet, well organized and easy to work with. Mandy is who made it possible to have Bella my dog in my wedding, that was such a big deal since she's such a big part of my family. She really went out of her way to make our day as perfect as it possibly can be. The only problem with this venue was once you are done being married you may never recover from not getting your monthly dose of Mandy! Worth every penny!

Handmade arch my mom made after we found out that it was $200 to rent theirs right before the wedding!

The one star is for how beautiful the grounds are and the venue itself. I just got married here and had an amazing wedding due to this fact in addition to their amazing food and great bartending staff (shout out to John). However, those are about the only positive things I have to say about the staff I have dealt with while planning my wedding since November 2014. Unless you have an unlimited budget and quality customer service is NOT important to you, I would suggest looking elsewhere. The venue is gorgeous and will blow you away, but the staff you have to deal with leading up to your wedding will make you wish you had stayed away. When I toured the venue back in Nov 2014 I fell absolutely in love. The girl who toured us recommended that we book soon in order to lock in the prices before they would be going up in 2015. So of course we did! (Bride on a budget here) However, what they don't tell you is that signing your contract doesn't lock you into anything, I found out the hard way that you actually must pay the prices for the year your wedding falls in (so I was required to pay 2016 prices). There's a little sentence that says "pricing subject to change". Not sure what the point of having a contract was in the first place...it was very deceptive and completely unprofessional. It wasn't until about 5 months before my wedding that I had found this out when inquiring about my food options. Luckily they didn't make me pay 2016 prices and honored the 2015 prices that they originally gave me. However, this also meant that I wasn't able to choose from the food served at my tasting event, which my invite also got "lost" in the mail and I didn't even know about it until this situation came up. The tasting event was serving 2016 priced food options, so if I wanted to keep my 2015 priced chicken option I would just have to do so without trying it. The tasting event itself was great because they bring in a bunch of preferred vendors for you to talk to and sample items from. Unfortunately this had zero benefit to me because my invite never came and I had to wait until the 2016 event (5 months before my wedding) when all of this was useless to me. I was very eager to learn about the rentable items because I kept hearing from day 1 about all of the great things you can choose from. I was told to just wait until my tasting to get that pricing, so I did. Pricing still wasn't included at the tasting event so I had to email after inquiring. When it was sent, once again it turned out to be "the wrong pricing" for 2015 and that I would have to pay 2016 prices (which had more than doubled). It would have cost me less to buy all new stuff rather than rent from them. Not to mention that the arch, which I was originally told came with the ceremony space that you pay a good amount of money for, was actually going to cost $200 to rent. I couldn't believe it! Now about 3 months before my wedding I'm told that I have to come up with all of this extra money that I definitely wasn't planning on. When I expressed my disappointment the response I received was even more upsetting. (I have attached the actual emails so that you can see for yourself). No apology or explanation given, just simply "that's the deal", even though it was clear that I was promised 2015 pricing. I'm not one for confrontation and I didn't need to stress myself out anymore than I already was so I just dropped it & asked them to remove all of the rental items I had wanted. I also had to ask 3 separate times for my final invoice but she wouldn't give me anything in writing so I had to go off of a verbal quote. Fortunately, my mom hated seeing how much heartache this place had caused me with their lack of communication and disregard for my feelings, that she was able to come through and still gave me my dream wedding. She even hand made me an arch for the ceremony out of cut down trees, which turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined (Pic attached). This was all amazing until our rehearsal day when we brought all of these items to Fishermen's Inn and they were so rude about the amount of stuff we had, making snide remarks and comments. Everything was setup by my own wedding coordinator which I had hired for the day of since there was no way I could rely on anyone there to do it. The day of was perfect due to all of the help I had from my amazing wedding coordinator and outside vendors. The dinner was amazing as well and turned out great even though none of us were able to try to chicken or pasta beforehand. However the end of the night left me in tears when they started rushing us out the door @ 11:15 and started grabbing drinks out of people's hands including my groom. I just write this in hopes that I can save a future couple from having to go through the same heartache, stress and tears that I had to. Best of luck!

We hosted 175 people and it was a perfect sized venue. The inside of the building itself has large windows (actually sliding glass doors) which let in lots of beautiful natural light, and also nice wood trim. It's a very neutral space that you can decorate however you'd like. The ladies that help with event coordination are very nice and they loved helping us make the event perfect. The club is almost entirely run by volunteers from the community (it's a charitable organization that does so much good both locally and nationally) and they all did a fantastic job. Our guests could not stop RAVING about the food! The potatoes, chicken, pork chops, and chicken wings were some of the favorites. Everything was super smooth and you can tell how much they all care about making your day special. I would definitely recommend Elburn Lions Club for a wedding shower, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc. or any other group event you are looking for (birthday, family reunion, office Christmas party, etc.)! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and my mom just told me that they just finished remodeling the bathrooms and added a bridal room- such an awesome touch!
