    Dinos!!!
    Jeff D.

Amazing! Thanks to insta, I was served ads about a Dino Farm in Maple Park, IL. Where? Exactly. So my 3 year old went up on a Monday in early June to be amazed!! This was everything and more when it came to the Dinosaurs all over the farm! They also had various play areas to keep the kids busy and active. You can easily spend the day here. The drive for us was more than an hour so if I'm committing to that drive, we are staying a few hours. They also had dinosaur shows for the kids as well. I will say the food wasn't that great (we did Pizza and Nachos) so maybe eat ahead of time or have lunch in their lot. We'd love to check out the scene come fall time!

I went on a weekday with a friend for both the pumpkin fun farm and the apple orchard. We had a lot of fun! The price isn't too bad, however since it was a weekday, there were less things available for us to do which was a bummer. They try to alleviate that by having lower prices on weekdays, so that's a little bit of a positive. The games were fun and pretty classic, like rubber duck racing, throwing balls into holes, some kids playgrounds, and more. They also had a big slide which was fun for people of all ages, I went on it twice! There were also animals in pens, which I felt the conditions weren't the best and it made me feel sad for them. The rabbits barely had any hay which is integral to their survival. The chickens/goose/peacock/other birds had very little space and they kind of just stood inside looking out at you. I wish they'd improve the conditions. The apple orchard was fun, we got a 1/4 peck bag from the entrance and filled it up. Since we came late in the season, many varieties were unavailable and those that were available had a lot of... Inhabitants within the apples. Nevertheless, we kept looking and found enough perfect apples to take home. The shops were fun too as they have a lot of local products. I made sure to get the Kuiper's hard ciders, apple cider donuts, and wines.

A very huge, well run, agricultural farm. Went there for apple picking.Picked delicious gala apples.Call ahead to find out what variety of apples are ready for picking. Later in coming weeks, there will be pumpkins, and vegetables They also have a sunflower field. There is a huge barn, where they press apples to make cider. Again call ahead. BEE sure to see the live beehive. The general store, is massive. They have homemade donuts, at $2 each. Fresh and frozen pies. The prices are a little on the high side. The staff is wonderful, and friendly. Plenty of parking. Plenty of porta potties. Can't wait to go back.

Visited the tulip festival yesterday and the weather was perfect. Had a great time walking around and loved the new baby cow. Staff were super friendly too. On the bad side was the cost for a weekday $19. $23 on a weekend. There was no entertainment on the stage, the slides weren't open, a lot of the food opportunities were closed. In general the tulips were beautiful but you really had to try to get good pictures because they were sparse. They allow cutting of tulips (for a fee) which due to the limited amount already, I think is going to be detrimental to the experience.

This farm offers a wide range of engaging activities, fun attractions, various pantry items & breathtaking hilly views, making it an ideal destination for a fun day out. The picturesque surroundings provide numerous opportunities for stunning photographs! I've inserted some photos I took during Tulip Fest in early May. Admission fees are slightly lower on weekdays than on weekends, reflecting the availability of weekend-only entertainment options. The farm is vast, well-maintained & thoughtfully designed with conveniently located facilities, including porta-johns & hand wash stations, also areas for feeding with farm animals. Even during busy weekends with families & small children, visitors can still find peaceful spots to enjoy moments of solitude. Diverse food options, such as food trucks, concessions, a farmyard bar, a farmhouse kitchen, orchard shops & a smokehouse and grill, ensuring that no one ever gets hungry during their visit!

I don't know how this place can have an average of 3 stars. 10/10 would recommend this place for kids. I was here for the first time while they had the dinosaurs on exhibit. They had so much to do: A big obstacle course, huge slides to go down, tires to climb. My 4 year old son had a blast! The jumping pillow was a couple dollars extra, but definitely worth it! There are a ton of animals, and you can feed most of them through tubes that go into their cages. Even without the dinosaurs, we would have had a blast. But the dinosaur aspect was very well done! A walkway with a dozen different kinds of dinosaurs, people in big dinosaur costumes posing for pictures, fossil dig, baby dinosaurs to pet. It was awesome for my dino- loving kid. We had lunch at the Smoke House Grill. I had the Cherry bomb brisket sandwich, which was really tasty. The only downside was this place is in the middle of nowhere. We thought about dropping in for lunch nearby, but there's not much around. They had food trucks, concessions, and the grill though, so it wasn't an issue. Also the only bathrooms are port-a-potties.

Recently came for the Tulip Fest with my bff and our kids. It wasn't too crowded and there were tons to do! They had a huge checkers game, big playground, tether ball and so much more! Really nice games for younger kids. Tulips were so beautiful!! They had a lot of nice fields and a good variety of colors. Unfortunately, it started raining within about 30 mins after we got there It started to get chilly too so we had to leave but we did have fun while we were there! Looking forward to coming back for a pumpkin patch!

I love this place! I've been to their tulip fest & fall fest. I've enjoyed both. They have alot of fun attractions, good food, and a bar!

My wife worked for Kim & Wade for several years when we lived in the area. Since then, their sons have taken over the business and it remains an awesome destination for not only school field trips from Chicagoland but also wedding venues and just a unique spot to pick pumpkins & apples, grab a hard cider or check out the corn maze! Shout out to Cheryl H and her team that runs the gift shop. Whenever we go back to Kaneland and Elburn we make sure to stop by for popcorn, apples, fudge and donuts!

Visit Date: Oct. 12, 2024 I'm surprised to see a lower average rating of Kuiper's Farm since my experience with friends was nothing like those that left 1 star reviews. Perhaps I may be a kid at heart and find joy in a place that has plenty of family friendly activities and great eats thats paired with perfect weather. As we entered the farm, there were plenty of traffic coming in and out but this was to be expected. Things went by smoothly and there was an ample amount of parking for my friends and I. No issues there. We then started off our trip by eating at their "Farmhouse Kitchen". I got myself their Pit Master sandwich, their country potato salad, and the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese. The wait was long but was worthwhile because they were all delicious! The sandwich was well seasoned with good sauces, the potato salad was tangy, rich, and creamy, while the Mac and cheese just slaps! Love it! After feeding ourselves, we continued to explore the farm, plenty of opportunities to pet their lovely animals, watch some piggies race, and do more activities. We enjoyed both of their Horror Walk (inside and out) and we particularly had a blast with their apple cannons! (There is an extra fee for the apple launchers by the way). We ended our trip by trying out some sample apple slices and their cider, which had the perfect blend of freshness, tanginess, and sweetness by the way. And yes, I bought a bottle of it! I also bought myself a bag of kettle corn popcorn, which did not disappoint! It wasn't overly sweetened unlike other family farms around the state as well. Overall, my time with friends was spectacular and concluded that Kuiper's Farm is worth the drive. If you'd like to save some money however, I'd visit during the week as tickets are cheaper! Thanks for coming along, John C.

This place is amazing with many varieties of tulips of many colors. Best time to visit is weekdays early in am to avoid the crowds and get your pictures in without interference. April 23 was first day, so tulips not peak yet. I would suggest bring extra shoes that you don't mind getting muddy. Put newspapers in your car. If fields are wet, your pants will get dirty. Some people dress up with colorful clothes to get a more professional photo memory look. Lots of props in the fields like tractors, bicycle, chairs, photo frame.

Came for Tulip fest on a Saturday afternoon. It was nice and spread out. There were activities, tulips, and farm animals. They sell hard ciders, beer, and wine that you are able to walk around the farm enjoying. I spent about an hour here and enjoyed my experience.

My recent experience is an example of this, I have been a long time customer since Mr. Norris owned the business; I was planning on continuing to use the services of the new owners/Not Just Grass as usual for all my landscape needs. Last April 2024, after working out details in March, I had old shrubs removed from the front of our house and new and different types planted. However, the work supervisor (Tyler) did not come with the work crew to lay out the planting plan, he had given them a work diagram, so unfortunately some of the shrubs were planted too deep, spacing was wrong on one side, and no soil amendments added, etc. I had asked for dirt and mulch to be added, but no mulch was added around the new plantings (I had to do a couple of bags myself around each plant later to help keep the soil moist after watering). They also left deep ruts in the yard/grass with equipment while removing the old, large yews. I contacted Tyler about the ruts and he did have them come back to fix that, however a year later now and the area is still sunken and no grass in spots (I will have to do a proper repair myself again). Tyler did not come back to supervise that original rut repair work. Flash forward to Spring 2025 in March, I contacted Tyler again because 1 of the shrubs had died last Fall (it was planted too deep) and another also looked dead at the time (before leaves started coming out), I let him know this and asked about replacement plants since they were under the 2 year plant warranty that Mr. Norris always provided and currently, Not Just Grass still honors. I never got a response, it was basically crickets. I sent text, e-mail, I called and left a message. I called the office and spoke to Kris who relayed my concern/messages on, but still no communication/follow-up from Not Just Grass/Tyler. Finally, I had run out of patience and had enough of the poor quality of service and called the owner, Greg V. (spoke to Kris again because he was out) and I also sent an email to the plant nursery. I explained to Kris and in my email(s) the lack of communication on their part and that I just wanted a replacement plant for the dead one (that I expected the same variety, a certain size to match the ones that did survive, and for it to be healthy), and that I would come to the nursery to pick it up myself. I also explained that I would be taking my business elsewhere from now on because of the poor service and quality of work. The owner did respond once in an email trying to tell me that Tyler had reached out on May 9, 2025 (nope, I never received a text, phone call or email from him and give me a break - May 9th 2025, when I had been trying to communicate with him since March 2025!!). The owner offered to have them come plant the replacement plant or I could pick it up as I had told them that was my plan. I replied that I hadn't heard from Tyler and that I would come pick it up and what I expected the quality to be, etc. When I went to pick up the plant, I was basically given the cold shoulder by Tyler (landscape supervisor) and Mackenzie (the plant nursery manager), I did see them, but they ignored Kris when she asked Mackenzie if she wanted to talk to me, Kris was told they were busy as they whizzed past us. Tyler indicated to us that the plant was down at the end of the nursery building. Kris, their Admin. who is basically in the office the majority of the time taking care of phone calls and orders, was actually the person who helped me find the plant (it did have my name on it) and load it into my car for me. The soil in the container was very dry, but that also made it easier to lift, and helped us out. I watered it well when I got home. So, there's my recent experience with this company (Not Just Grass) still using the Spring Bluff Nursery name, but not providing the quality of service, plant knowledge, and dependability that the former owners provided to their old and new customers. Also, their prices have gone up! It's just sad and no way to treat loyal customers! I have found another landscape company, thankfully, who have already planted the replacement shrub, added soil amendments, fixed the other planting that was struggling, and nicely mulched the area the way it should have been done last year.

I've been checking their Facebook everyday since early June and eagerly waiting for a day that finally worked out for me to come!! They advertised that strawberries were very limited the day I planned on going, but we filled an entire bucket in about an hour or less and we even got there 2.5 hours after they opened! I was so happy it all worked out. I just love the simpleness of this farm. There's no large attractions, big food court, or commercial feel to it. It is so much fun to pick your own berries and such a fun outing for families and kids!
