Captain Ken is a fraud and is not to be trusted. Our trip was cancelled due to weather and he still tried to charge my credit card for the FULL trip price. Do not trust this scam artist with you credit card information as they will use it fraudulently. Run far away from this company there are better options in Destin! read more

Great day of fishing on the Just B Cause! 36 amberine, several red snapper with one giant 20 pounder. Also, 3 reds and two amberjack and five large trigger fish. Captain Ken and first mates Vinney and Steve were outstanding! Great with the kids too. Everyone caught several. All in just a five hour trip. read more

Captain Ken and his crew are fantastic. We went down to fish in the Destin Fishing rodeo this past weekend and Just B Cause was the obvious choice for many reasons. This was not my first time on the boat. I also took young boys and another adult fishing in April and the experience was fantastic as well. Captain Ken will do everything possible to put you on the fishing and is more than willing to mix it up if that is what you'd like. We trolled for tuna, King mackerel, and other pelagic. We bottom fished for grouper, snapper and anything else on the reefs. Then I asked if we could try for some sharks the crew didn't hesitate and rigged a rod for sharks within minutes. Capt. Ken and his crew are aimed to please and do an amazing job doing so. I have been on many charters around the world and Just B Cause is top notch. There were hundreds of anglers in the tournament this weekend and we ended up winning the largest red grouper category and placed second for blackfin tuna. We wouldn't have been on the leaderboard without Capt. Ken and his crew. The entire trip was a blast and the cooler was full of great eating fish for everyone. Our trip back in April was just as good. I walked on the boat with the kids and Capt. Ken immediately asked me what was I looking to catch. I told him that I wanted the kids to get a lot of action and catch a lot of fish. Well, he nailed it. The boys were pulling fish up like crazy. Trigger, red snappers, mingos and to top it off, a HUGE red grouper caught by my 13 year old. We still talk about that fish to this day. I just booked my Condo for the Oct. 2016 Destin Rodeo and already told Capt. Ken that I want to fish of Just B Cause. Highly recommend this boat and its awesome crew. read more

DO NOT USE! And more specifically DO NOT USE the Charter boat "Back Atcha" owned by a guy named "Trey". Me and two of my buddies booked an 4 hour morning fishing trip through Destin Charter Fishing, a trip we had been looking forward to for months. We booked several days in advance, arrived on time and paid. We were then directed to the "Back Atcha" slip. As we were about to board, another guy and his son show up at the slip saying they booked through "Trey" directly but hadn't paid and had no record of ever booking. Though we preferred to just have our buddies fishing trip, we would have been open to sharing our charter with the father and his kid, however the father, was not up for that and the boat was too small for 6 people. While they tried to figure out the double booking, it intially looked like they were going to take my party out since we had paid and had a record of our booking. As the boat driver is on his cell explaining the situation to Trey, the father says, "Let me talk to Trey", grabs the phone and proceeds to talk his way in front of us. Next thing we know they are telling us "Sorry, Trey is taking the other party". We were then given 3 options: Come back later that day, Come back tomorrow or take a refund. Due to conflicts we could not reschedule and were left with just getting our money back but had our fishing trip taken away due to the disorganization of Destin Charter Fishing and The "Back Atcha". Do not use the "Back Atcha" and Destin Charter Fishing needs to do something about the bad business practices of the charter boats they represent. I would not recommend any of them to anyone. Use another Charter service next time you want to book a fishing trip in Destin because ther is no guarantee you'll get to go through this outift, even if you've paid and had a reservation. read more

I had been deep sea fishing 2 times (West Palm Beach, Jamaica) prior to my trip with Captain Ken in Destin. These trips were underwhelming, only catching ONE fish and not enjoying the experience at all. This, combined with hurricane Joaquin barreling through the opposite coast, left me very pessimistic about my guys fishing trip on October 3. My expectations were blown away - Captain Ken and his crew delivered big time! We arrived at Just-B-Cause and told Captain Ken what we were looking to catch. We hit several spots, each very rewarding. The crew was outstanding - extremely helpful and informative for us non-experienced. They also had great stories to tell while we were traveled between spots. We all reeled in a large number of fish, some of which made the leader board at the Destin Fishing Rodeo. Everyone was pumped during the entire trip - it's easy to get excited when you're catching lots of fish with a great crew. The guys are still talking about the trip and looking forward to our next outing on Just-B-Cause. Thanks to Captain Ken and his crew for a memorable outing! read more

This was my first time deep sea fishing in Destin. I rate my skills pretty highly catching bass and trout in freshwater but am a novice in saltwater. Captain Ken's operation on the Just B'cause was top notch. From heading out in the a.m. to closing out the day eating the freshest Tuna sushi I've ever had, it was a great experience. The captain was fixed on the fish finder and getting us fish on line. And that we did by the dozens. The first and second mates were always there to assist and were completely on top of things. I set ego aside and took the extra hands baiting hooks.... to ensure maximum baited catch time! It was just a blast. Lots of fish and lots of fun! read more

Had a great first time experience with Just B Cause Charter. Our company had a team outing and we chose Just B Cause fishing charter! Captain Ken & Billy did a great job leading us out to open waters & showing us the ropes (only 2 of our 7 had ever been deep sea fishing) It was fun, enjoyable, and getting to eat our catch, was the icing on the cake. Booked a trip out July 3 with Captain Ken and mate Carter. Captain Ken asked us what we wanted and we said action and that is what we got on a short 5 hour trip. caught our limit of Red Snapper quickly. Captain Ken was most professional and mate Carter was a machine. Our trip was enjoyed by 2 adults and 5 high school and college kids.
