    Prime Rib Dip Sandwich

Yay: New owners/cooks at this great little spot near Fogarty Creek! Tonight, we had the meatball boat app, IPAs on draft, and prosecco. Then we enjoyed the special, Chicken Marsala, and the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich. For dessert, we indulged in the house made bread pudding. Everything was delicious! Service was fantastic. Pro Tip: If you don't want to hear/see sporting events on the bar TV, sit in the separate (quiet) dining room.

Power out from LC to Depoe Bay but all good at Fishing Rock! Storm survivors came in all night and we bonded over a football game and the place stayed open late for us to enjoy overtime! That kind of attention and care will help build customers back under new ownership! I enjoyed Blackened Salmon special. They filleted it today and it was fresh and flaky and seasoned right. It came with navy bean soup that warmed me up from the storm. Great evening before driving carefully back to my dark, cold, wet neighborhood!

    Combo pizza. Sooo good

I live here food here. I have eaten here three times, breakfast and dinners. Always great I give it 5 stars!

First of all, this place is not "permanently closed". We just had dinner there tonight! On the advice of bringfido.com, as I'm traveling with two small dogs. I guess it has been reopened and we're on day 6. The service was great! Of course there was not much for traffic since Yelp says it's closed. it's on the 101 so location is great. The interior has been noticeably revamped. New furniture, paint, beachy pics on the walls. The bar is not yet open, and there are plans for music too. Dinner was more than satisfactory. We had the seafood chowder, very filling, with lots of seafood, and split a fish and chips. The fish was lightly breaded and flaky. The chips were actually more like shaved potatoes, skin on, bigger than a chip but not a home fry. All in all a good meal. Good luck to the new management. Maybe I'll stop in later.

Great service (thanks Shelby!!), food and ambiance, right off the 101. Plenty of options on the menu, full bar, and an Italian chef makes a lot of the sauces from scratch & the cheesecake! Try the cheesecake, it's amazing!! Live music Friday, Saturday, & Sundays.

They now have license to sell alcohol. The margarita was good!

We had their halibut(not on menu). The menu is close to same as previous owner's menu. We recommended them making changes. The halibut dinner was good! New owners and cooks! The previous cooks and food was terrible! It's open every day and very close to home! This shall be a welcoming spot to go!

Enjoyed our meal here. We came late on a Thursday. Got a seat right away. Cute place. Bar area with tables for food service. There is also a separate dining room. There was a place for a band, but not tonight. I had the Mediterranean fettuccini. Very light and tasty. Exactly what I was expecting. Friends had fish and chips. They liked their meal. I want the Best they every had, but said the breading was as light, not heavy. It was also not greasy. No complaints tonight. All good and good service. Thank you

Wow. This place is great! They had a great band playing on Friday night. The food was delicious. Prime rib and calamari. The salads are huge. The best clam chowder - unique with scallops. Deserts was amazing as well. Key lime pie, Tiramisu, 8 layer chocolate cake. All so good. Give them a try. Definitely a locals favorite.

Seafood chowder was good, but not great. Calamari was chewy and heavily breaded. Pastas were under sauced for my taste.

We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon and were told we could seat ourselves anywhere in the bar, so we snagged the best table with a great view. I couldn't believe that a restaurant so close to Surftides and right on the ocean has such an impressively affordable drink menu--I mean, seriously, where do you get a $10 Old Fashioned these days? The bartender came over quickly and took our order for two Old Fashioneds and a bowl of chowder. Upon delivering the drinks, she mentioned she was new and wasn't sure if she'd made them exactly right. They were actually good! She just missed the cherry and orange essence, but for $10, I'm certainly not complaining. The clam chowder, however, was the star of the show. Seriously, it's the best clam chowder in Lincoln City right now. I am picky and not easily impressed, but this was perfect. It was clearly fresh--rich and velvety without being pasty or like 'sipping on gravy.' The clams were tender and provided a perfect balance of rich texture and delicate, briny flavor. We will definitely be regulars whenever I need a chowder fix!

First timer here and I went with the NY Steak & Shrimp for my entree. Surprisingly, the oven roasted potatoes were absolutely killer here. Served with a generous amount, they were almost the star of the plate, coming in a close second to the shrimp which was nice and lightly fried and had a good crisp on the initial bite followed by a mouthful of juicy jumbo shrimp. The steak was decent and could of been better, it was a bit on the tougher side as I asked for it to be medium--well and it sure was more on the "well" side. So next time I'll try it cooked medium. Still good and I finished my entire plate. Can't forget the asparagus which was prepared perfectly, not too soggy, but not too crunchy/raw either. Enjoyed my first experience at Summit View Lounge. Will give the Italian next door neighbor restaurant a try next time. P.S. -- Salads are huge here and make a great shareable appetizer. The clam chowder is awesome and worth all of the extra $4.

However, it was terrible this time. $15.95 for a large ( NOT...totally laughable they call it a large) spicy pork nachos. Chips, what there was of them, were all on the bottom. So, super soggy. Tons of Luke warm and cold toppings that were microwaved (Come on, we can totally tell). The taste was terrible, not even just bad, but terrible!! We will eat there again if we go back, because it really is the first time for us that it was bad. But, they only get one more shot. Lol

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations. The drinks were excellent, well-balanced, flavorful, and actually tasted like proper cocktails instead of just juice. They definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol either! I'm really glad I chose this place to celebrate. It ended up being the perfect spot for the occasion.

In the last couple of visits, though, it's different. My past history here prevents me from giving it a 2-star review. I know there has been a management change, and it shows. Some of my favorite staff have departed, seeking greener pastures. The reason for this review now is my most recent purchase ... a $17 glass of Pudding River Pinot Gris. When I found out the price as I cashed out, I felt robbed. I can drive less than 9 miles away and buy a whole bottle for $25. My previous glass of wine that evening was an $8 chardonnay from another local winery. I figured the Pinot Gris couldn't be much more than the Chard, especially one from Pudding River, which I've personally visited so I know their bottle prices. So, before you buy anything at the Fireside Lounge, ask the price. Don't be surprised (aka robbed) as I was.
