Francesca was our server and she is the sweetest. Trust her, she won't steer you wrong. If you like French 75 and love grapefruit, you'll love the Latin 75, It's so good and refreshing. Start with tapas - the beef chilaquiles is superb! the yellowfin crudo is also an excellent choice - the papaya is fabulous, and the seared scallops are spot on. For the entrees - the bbq beef is delicious, the chicken adobo is outstanding and the sopas are wonderful. The sopas are black bean and it's a hearty meal. The chicken adobo is so tender and mouth watering. Even if you don't have a special occasion, this is a wonderful place to dine. Ask for Francesca for your server, she helps make it special as well! What made me give China Delight 2 stars was the restroom situation. I am not a fan of the code system, but I understand there is a homeless challenge in the area that has caused the restaurant to install these code systems. But the restroom itself was filthy. If one controls who can use the restroom, it should be clean, and not resemble the kind you find at gas stations along I-5. Not sure if I would want to come back to China Delight.

I'm not a huge fan of the "order at the bar" model. The staff was friendly but I prefer having someone check on us to get drink refills, order more food, etc. Not really planning a return visit. I miss the old model. And the old prime rib special on Friday nights.

But I think the most disappointing part was having to share my room with a ton of bugs. See a picture of a few different ones on my review. Also, the coffee bar was not well staffed and there was a giant group of college students ordering food and there were two of us not with the group who wanted something and it would've been nice if they prioritized our order instead of having us wait until after the entire group was served. We would've had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for food. I went upstairs to make some oatmeal I had in the room and it turns out that the microwave of my room is broken so I couldn't even do that. With my travel schedule, that meant either it was happening in two weeks, or I couldn't be there. Thankfully, we scored an opening at the Vue! The Vue is a beautiful venue, with gorgeous views. The all-glass doors across the deck can be completely open or closed, depending on the weather. There's a fireplace, a bar, they have tables available, you can use one or two floors. The Vue is such an attractive location that I didn't have to spend an extra dime to decorate. The short-notice wedding was amazing and perfect. The catering was well orchestrated, perfectly timed, beautifully arranged. Everyone was taken care of and happy. I've been taking credit for this amazing feat of perfect wedding planning, but It's time to confess: all I did was have the good sense to let Heather at the Vue take care of me. Heather made it all happen; all I did was enjoy the day. And take credit. Just don't tell my daughter; she still thanks me for how beautiful her special day was : )

Their Happy Hour (4-7pm) attracts everyone from college kids to senior citizens, probably because the food & drink is super affordable. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices bc everything is so much more expensive in Portland, OR. They serve standard bar fare: Tater tot's, chicken strips, nachos, micros & domestic beers etc. My food was fried perfectly & the cook seem to be in good spirits. There are several tv screens & They play the key sports events. I watched the Tyson & Jake Paul fight here. Street parking & a parking lot around the corner. After 10pm it becomes more of a bustling hot spot for the college-age crowd.
