My second thought was it looked handmade and the lady behind the counter looked like she knew her stuff. Came back to try it and see if it could be my new go to place. Got 6 pan fried pork dumplings and the pork century egg congee. There was a lot of meat in the dumplings and tasted pretty good. So the price was justified. Only had a taste of the congee but it was good. Bought more to take home because I was encouraged by my two dishes. Will probably return on a regular basis. I'm really happy to find a "hole in the wall " (ie, down home and comfortable) that serves good basic dim sum.

I kind of had low expectations since it's dim sum for fast food, thinking it might just be factory mass produce but when you taste it, there is a difference. Seems like it's house made as the texture of the siu mai and wonton is different than the mass produce or frozen ones. Price is also quite affordable too. Definitely a great rotation in the food court.

They have the right balance of having a good fish and good fries in their meal(some places are better with the fish or fries but the other suffers). Their poutine ain't bad either. Not great but it makes the fries taste better. As for criticism, they don't allow poutine additions if you order the special of the day. Doing so would not let you buy it at the deal listed. I don't get it. Let me purchase the fish n chips special and then add-on whatever the cost of the poutine would be to add to the fries. But not a separate addition, an ADD-ON. Just let me add poutine to the fries.

I couldn't find a lot of detail about the place online (no website or menu or reviews), just an Instagram page that has pictures of incredible Caribbean seafood and pepper shrimp. There are comments below each picture/video saying to text them in advance to order your food. So, with the city opening up again, I took a chance and sent a text message this morning, asking when Peggy's might be opening up again. I got an immediate reply, and was told that they would be open at 3pm! I asked what was on the menu and got another immediate reply (today's offerings were pepper shrimp, mussels and fish). So I walked over and ordered myself a bunch of pepper shrimp and some rice and peas. I had to dash across the street to an ATM after ordering because it is CASH ONLY. WOW. This food is out of this world delicious! The pepper shrimp are HUGE, spicy and flavourful. The rice and peas were fresh and tasty. I'm not sure why this place isn't being talked about more, but I kind of love that it's under the radar!
