Matt was an excellent employee who sized my feet using a pretty cool 3-D imaging machine that I had to stand on for about 5 seconds. The information was then sent to his handheld computer and, voila, it showed a 3-D view of my feet and a recommendation of shoe size taking into account length, width, and arch - pretty cool! Matt brought out 3 different brands of shoes for me to try on - Saucony, Karhu, and Brooks. Of the 3, I ended up buying the Brooks (Glycerin 23). They fit perfectly and it felt like I was walking on air. To be honest, I've always been a Brooks fan over the years and this shoe just reinforced my perception of what a great shoe they make. The price for these is on the upper side of the market (just under $200 with tax), but actually pretty competitive with other stores. Their store is located in the Bell Tower shopping mall and perpendicular across from Burntwood Tavern. They are locally owned and they expressed their appreciation for me shopping with them. Unfortunately, they didn't have tap shoes in the size we needed, but she went out of her way to bring out a new pair to check the fit. She was very helpful, and I appreciated her customer service. While I was still planning to purchase ballet slippers, the older woman in the store abruptly told me, "So you know next time there's a $10 fitting fee. I don't do this so people can try on the size and buy online." The way she said it was condescending and made me feel very small, as if I had done something wrong by simply checking sizing. I even offered to pay the fee since I hadn't been aware of it, but the tone she used left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. If I had been told upfront that there was a $10 fitting fee, that would have been completely fine and understandable. It was the way it was delivered -- with bitterness and condescension -- that made the experience so hurtful. Just because I couldn't afford the $48 new tap shoes at that moment didn't mean I wouldn't have returned in the future or bought used items when available. Instead, I left feeling hurt and told my daughter to put away the ballet slippers I had planned on buying. This was an extremely disappointing experience. While the young lady was wonderful, the older woman's rudeness completely soured the visit. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, regardless of what they're able to spend.

They had a lot to choose from between shirts and shoes, which is what we were looking for. We ended up purchasing quite a bit and went twice. I got a pair of cute Croc sandals, my boyfriend got the sandals he wanted and we got shirts for family members as well as some other items. The shoes were priced very fairly. They were double the price at other stores in the area. Make sure to check the back of your receipt so you can use the discount if you go back. We weren't aware of the discount on the back of our first receipt so we didn't take it with us when we went the second time. Jose checked us out the second time and told us about the discount on the back so we knew for the future. We said we had already been there a few days before and wished we had been told by Massiel so we would have brought the previous receipt with us bc we spend about $100 each time. It would have saved us 15% the second time.
