The owner of Fitness 1440 (now Fusion Fitness) is a bully and a scam artist. If you like his gym…read moreand continue your membership, no problem. But once you decide you want to cancel your membership, WAY different story. I cancelled my membership nearly THREE years ago, in winter 2015 (before Fusion ever existed). I did a 'buy out,' what I was told was a one time fee to cancel my membership and be done with it. In early 2018, i notice that both Fusion Fitness and their debt collector had been taking money from my account...for MONTHS. Sometimes twice a month. I cancelled my debit card and didnt pursue it further as it was already giving me a bad enough headache. So now, in October 2018, I get a text message from the gym that says if I come back to Fusion Fitness they will forgive my 'delinquent' account...well the answer to that is a firm NO as I am currently 5 months pregnant with twins and can barely walk around the block. I HAVE no account...I cancelled my membership THREE years ago...and now they are trying to scam me for even more money. Unbelievable. When I went to talk to Bill about it he didn't even have any of my paper documents or financial records from when I was a member available to look at. Save yourself the grief of getting your money stolen and go somewhere else. I learned my lesson and have enjoyed the gym contract-free at Juniper. Will be reporting Bill to the BBB, City of Bend, and City of Bend Police if I have to. Disgusting that somebody like this has a business license. Just read any of the other one star reviews for this business...how many thousands of dollars have been stolen from people who just didn't want a membership anymore?

Highly Recommend - A Real Game-Changer for This Former CrossFit Gym Owner!…read more As someone who owned and operated a CrossFit gym for years, I've seen (and programmed) a lot of workouts. I've spent years in the "trenches" of high-intensity functional training, and I have a very high bar for what makes a fitness program effective. I know what makes a great fitness experience, and I have to say: Orangetheory Fitness in Bend has blown me away. I've been nothing short of impressed since joining, and it's quickly become my go-to spot (even despite also owning a Tonal, Peloton Bike and Peloton Tread at home!). Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting out, this studio delivers a top-tier experience. The PROGRAMMING is smart, science-backed, and incredibly effective - a perfect blend of cardio and strength that keeps things fresh and challenging every single class. It's definitely more cardio-focused than CrossFit, but also with a MUCH lower risk of injury! Also, the fact that I can get my workout in at 6:00 a.m. is great - and having the flexibility to attend a class even earlier than that, or during one of the many classes later in the day is a real bonus, too. But what really stands out is the COACHING. The coaches here are outstanding: energetic, knowledgeable, and somehow able to manage three rotating groups ("3G") seamlessly while motivating everyone, cracking jokes to keep it fun, and jumping in with spot-on form corrections. It's masterful - I've rarely seen that level of attention in a group setting, and can't tell you how hard it is to manage all that effectively. But they most certainly do just that. Special shout out to Coach Stephanie and Coach Sebastian - two of my favorites!!! The STUDIO itself is equally impressive. The EQUIPMENT is in fantastic condition (treadmills, rowers, weights, and even stationary bikes and a stair stepper for those who may be dealing with injury or disability - everything feels new and well-maintained), and the entire place is impeccably clean, from the workout floor to the spotless showers, lockers, and bathrooms. I particularly appreciate that sanitary wipes are set out at each station prior to class, folks are reminded to wipe their equipment down after use, and the room is cleaned by staff between classes in the event someone missed something. The TECHNOLOGY is another major standout: real-time heart rate feedback on the screens keeps you in the zone, and the app tracks your metrics over time so you can see real progress. That layer of accountability and motivation is hard to beat, and unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Additionally, booking classes is a breeze through the app, and I've even dropped into other Orangetheory studios across Oregon - they're all consistently impressive. On top of all that, the COMMUNITY is incredibly welcoming. Both the coaches and members are friendly and supportive, making it easy to feel like part of the group right away. If you're looking to get leaner, build serious cardio endurance, boost overall fitness, and actually enjoy your workouts, this is hands-down the best choice in Bend. It's fun, effective, and addictive in the best way. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Got there and explained (I was 12 minutes late) and was denied entry. Was told it was for safety reasons which is absurd. Cancelled my membership and was told I had to give 30 days and would be charged another month. I agreed and then was charged an additional month beyond. Went in to talk to them and got all kinds of excuses as to details on when the payment fell in the month so they could charge another 30 days (that is 60+ days of gouging). So petty and definitely a petty money grab to get another $80 out if me.

We have a place in Eagle Crest and I needed to get out and get a few workouts in. In the past I've been to Oregon CrossFit and Central Oregon CrossFit and those places are great but this time I decided to try Triumph mostly because of the location and times available. I'm so glad I did, Joe was very welcoming and made me feel at home. The workouts were great, Joe personally spent some time with me and helped me with some tweaks in my lifts. The clients in the classes were also very welcoming on both occasions. Upon leaving he gave me a big hug and said 'welcome to the family'. Joe is what makes Triumph click. He is upbeat, positive and understands what it takes to make people better. I am grateful to have stumbled upon Joe and Triumph and most definitely will be back to see them when I am in town. They never returned phone calls so I can't cancel my service so I'm paying every month for a service that I don't even use and I don't have time to go in because of my work schedule and I live out of town. Make no mistake, this is still very much a Man's gym…read more My best girlfriend had been going to the Y, taking classes, fully participating in activities offered, etc. for quite some time and had convinced me to go with her and try her gym. We did a brief tour and went into the lapswim pool, after 15minutes we combined and split a lane to help accommodate the new people coming in. 45 minutes into our mindful movement/isolation exercises we were approached by pair of younger men who had been watching our lane and were asked to move over to the next lane because "they couldn't swim the way they wanted to" in that lane. My friend obliged, and we moved over and continued with our routine. When we swam by the lifeguard who had watched the exchange, my friend asked her for clarification on what made the end lane special and why we were asked to move. The lifeguard informed us that we were now in the walking aerobic lane, which did not permit lane swimming- which we had been doing, and that the men shouldn't have asked us to leave our lane, essentially booting us from the equiptment we were using. We weren't done with our workouts. My friend asked why we were then asked to exit our lane, and the lifeguard called for a higher authority on her walkie-talkie. We exited the walking lane and after a moment a woman who had been speaking to the lifeguard approached us and introduced herself as the Aquadic Director, she asked us to explain what happened. And after reiterating the same story the lifeguard had told her, she explained to us that the only other option the pair of men would have had was to join our lane and circulate swim with us. We didn't have an issue with that. We asked who has priority to equipment and were told it was a first-come-first-serve system. Rather than elbowing our way back into our lane with two men that outsized us, we decided to end our gym experience early but my friend told the director that she wanted those rules explained to the offending guys, and that's where the problem lied. This woman had an immediate hesitation and began stammering on how she didn't want to escalate the situation by bothering them if we were going to leave. My friend insisted it was the principle of the matter, and that if the gym didn't have a priority list than the same set of rules should be followed by all paying patrons. The Aquadic Director had absolutely zero interest in approaching the pair of men who asked us to move for them and after a moment of back and forth between her and my friend, I calmly said, "This is bullshit." This gave the Aquadic Director the out she needed and she quickly turned the conversation to lecture me on how profanity isn't accepted on the pool deck. We were three adult women without a child in sight, having a conversation amongst ourselves, but I told her I understood and was on my way out. I returned to the locker room, showered and changed, and met back up with my friend who I left by the poolside to continue with the Aquadic Director, who did reluctantly have a brief conversation with the two guys at the insistence of my friend. As we were leaving the locker room a male employee pulled my friend aside and said that the Aquadic Director wanted to have another conversation. We told him that was fine, but we weren't going to have it in the locker room shower hall, and moved it to the lobby. We waited for the Aquadic Director in the lobby of the Y for no less than 5 minutes, zero appearance. My friend told the male employee that the locker rooms were not an appropriate place to ambush two women into conversation, and that in the future exiting members will most likely by found by the exit. The employee, Carson, said we weren't in the locker room, even though we were surrounded by lockers and a bay of showers when he stopped us from leaving. He literally turned his back to us mid conversation to instead pace up and down the hall and speak with another employee. After an interrupted workout, staff's unwillingness to address gym issues, an ambush in the locker room, and literally having employees turn their backs to us after being asked to wait to speak with them- we left. It was quite the mental workout, if nothing else. Needless to say, the Younge Men's Christian Association is still very much a male centered gym, when they have Women and Colored's events we may be inclined to try to lapswim again, but in the meantime I'd advise againt recommending this place to a wider demographic. I'm sorry my friend wasted her visitors' pass on me, but I think this experience was enough to decide membership dues on.

I find the food to be nourishing and usually delicious. If seeing other people nude in the hot springs weirds you out, this may not be the place for you, and that's ok! The nudity is respectful, non-sexualized, and I have always felt 100% safe being nude her as a woman. This is not the type of place you can just roll up to, you should def plan your stay in advance and read the website and FAQs before going. 2. Perhaps we hit it on a good weekend or during the low season, but fortunately, it was not super crowded for us. If you have the opportunity to visit in the evening, that prob would be best though as there weren't more than 2-3 other people in the sauna or hot spring at any time them. 3. I saw complaints about the food not being good - again, maybe we hit it on an atypical weekend, but for vegetarian and gluten free meals, the food was pretty good! For dinner, we enjoyed a pretty nice lasagna with some amazing, fresh greens for salad and the following morning we had frittata, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and hard-boiled eggs. Also, if you find the food bland, there were plenty of hot sauces, condiments, dressings, etc to season it to your taste. 4. I think a lot of people have the expectation that this is a luxury spa resort... it's not. You're not getting gourmet buffets or fancy lodging and beds. It's def pretty rustic, but we found our stay to be comfortable and the amenities to be quite sufficient and most of all, it offered the peace and respite from the real world that we were seeking.
