From the moment you sign up to their free intro class you feel so welcomed. Everyone talks to everyone. I don't think I have yet to meet a rude person. I purchased the unlimited package so I had access to the open gym which is open 24 7! The two cons I have is that there aren't that many morning classes. They have 5:30 am and 8:30 am, but they do have a ton of evening classes. I highly recommend taking classes with Christian O., especially if you're new. He does a great job at explaining the workouts beforehand and going around the class to make sure you're doing the exercises right. He is so patient. The other con is the parking. It can be a bit tight, but I just go early so I don't have to stress about it. The classes are worth it! If you've been wanting to try CrossFit but feel intimidated give Backyard CrossFit a try!

Great facility (huge!), great coaches, and really rewarding workout routines. Coaches are awesome and pretty helpful regardless of your level. They are able to coach you if a newbie to get the moves right, or push you to make progress if more experienced. Generally super friendly, smart, and professional. It can get busy, which is a plus, its super motivating to have the room full of people to sweat along with, and there are usually multiple coaches giving attention when needed, and did i mention the facility is huge? a lot bigger than other f45s i've checked out leaving a lot of room for activities, its a great space. Parking is readily available in two covered lots in the building itself, or across the street by the dim sum place. I'm not in SGV too often during weekdays but i try to hit this place whenever I am in the area, if you live nearby it'd be a no brainer to attend here if looking for group fitness and to get in shape.

Members are friendly and approachable and there's a strong community aspect to this gym. I've been doing personal training with Luis for the past 5 months and have seen tremendous improvement in my flexibility, athleticism, and overall strength. He is incredibly positive and encouraging while also challenging you directly to push past your limits. The sessions are always personalized and the results have been clear. I'm in the best shape of my life and hit new PRs every month. He was attentive and took extra time to make sure you nail your form for workouts where it needs to be. It's a mostly male class (I was the only girl) but the trainer will work with you to modify certain workouts especially if you just ask. I do HIIT workouts like training mate and Barry's boot camp and this was quite a bit more intense due to the fast paced of everything with little to no breaks..also it's CRAZY hot in the gym. They need A/C lol other than that it was a really great workout, I sweat a ton and I look forward to booking again in the future.

They have both morning & evening classes. When you're there, the coach will show you what to do in each station and monitor the class to make sure you're doing the stations/workouts correctly. Staffs here are extremely friendly & knowledgeable. I really like the vibes inside the gym and joined the membership after my kick-start trial is over. I like that. There was only one coach, and I had no partner. The signs were abbreviated and gave no hint as to what each station was about. And the coach doesn't care at all about who you are or what state your body is in. When you tell them you can't do a certain exercise properly due to chronic conditions, and you need time they make you feel like crap. Sometimes I waited at a station the whole time because I couldn't remember what I was supposed to do there, but by the time a coach is able to help, time's already up. Also, the people attending are rude. They were in the hallway talking smack about how they hate new people. Any motivated to go was drained and to didn't go back to finish my trial. Getting motivated to work out is hard enough without the toxic environment and lack of support.
