I highly recommend this FP location in Bakersfield. The service we received my Yasmine and Isabella was 100% perfect. They both went above and beyond with serving us. Both Yasmine and Isabella are true professionals in customer service and served us with a smile on their face. They are both well educated in healthy foods as we talked with them for 20 mins about eating healthy. The quality of food here is plentiful and very delicious, I highly recommend this location. I am not a nutritionist nor do I know about dieting. I tried this place trying to make changes in my everyday meals. I was actually quite impressed with how good the food was, almost to the point that I felt like they maybe weren't healthy....???? That's a good thing right? Who wants to eat healthy food and it tastes like regular not healthy food. My favorite item I have tried so far is the Mediterranean wrap. I was really impressed how flavorful the food has been, so I will be back. The downfall is that it's sooo far away from home and work, so that's a challenge in its own. The good thing though is that there is a drive-thru. That drive-thru is amazing for people who are super busy and is on the go all the time and that's perfect for me. I didn't get a chance to go inside to interact with staff and see what the inside is like, but I do know the food is good and it's not your average healthy food. It's flavorful and delicious. This place was requested for a lunch my coworker and I were hosting. We had called ahead as we figured that would make things easier for staff and were told they would not be able to place an order for 11 orders due to them running out of food if they did so. We were a little confused by that answer so we decided to go in and order in person a perhaps split the order into 2? Didn't make to much sense... Anyway we were greeted by Julie who was very helpful. She was able to accommodate our order with no concern about running out of food. We really appreciated her as we are only trying to do our job and she is trying to do hers as well. In the end the food was delicious and the order was perfect. Not sure why the young lady we spoke with over the phone would not take our order..but just thankful Julie was so helpful and pleasant. This is a great place for healthy tasty food. read more

This place is super healthy and adorable. I ordered the açaí bowl was delicious and the açaí was nice and thick and they put lots peanut butter and honey it was such a delightful surprise. They girl that made açaí bowl made it with lots of care and cut the fruit fresh for me! I also ordered the strawberry banana juice with protein so bomb! I have come here multiple times only for them to constantly be out of food they advertise or or being served a bad version of what they used to sell. Went here for the first time today. Tried the acai bowl and it was good. I also ordered a 20oz strawberry lemonade. It was the size of my hand. My first time experience at Fit Pantry was not great. The representative up front was a Hispanic chick today. She explained to me what the most popular items on the menu, so far not bad. I ended up ordering an Acai bowl and started eating in the store. Towards the end of my meal, I spotted a bad strawberry that seemed to have mold on it. I inspected it carefully and then took it her and mentioned the strawberry had mold on it, which she responded by saying "no, that looks like a little bruising". I'm not against her disagreeing with me but she barely looked at it and made a judgement and dismissed what I just mentioned. I went back to my table thinking maybe she's right and I took a closer look (pictures below). It was clearly moldy. I made my point by letting her know it's moldy and that I wasn't looking for a free meal as I was already finished. That's when she nonchalantly agreed and I left. I don't know much about any of the other employees but she in particular made a terrible impression for me at this store. Basic courtesy goes a long way. 3rd time trying FP. I really wanted it to be great. Close to home. But, all three times the staff was pretty awful. They just seem miserable. This time we ordered two items through the drive-through (no one in uniform, no smiles), and waited almost 15 min. Nobody checked on us or explained why it was taking so long. When they finally opened the window again a different employee looked angry and handed us the bag complaining that they were busy. There were only a few cars out front...not very busy. FP just lost a customer... I walked in this afternoon and no one was at the front counter. I made eye contact with an employee standing in the back a few times...he never said a word to me and casually turned away as if I wasn't there. After a few minutes passed, I just said forget it. Perception is everything, and I perceived that no one was acknowledging that I was there waiting. Maybe the employee was talking to someone in the drive thru, maybe he was was busy with a number of things that I wasn't aware of. Fit Pantry is really overpriced. There, I said it. For what you get, it's sort of like-- where is my money going? There are very few options for vegans. You can customize some stuff, but you still get charged the full price as if you had ordered meat. They don't offer any meat alternatives. The service is okay. Not good, not bad. They're just there. I guess I can say I appreciate that I'm not bothered while I eat my meal. The drive through service is not good at all-- this is definitely in need of an improvement. They don't share nutrition information because they don't want to pay for the lab testing. Not cool. I like the concept. I like the decor. I even like the açaí bowl. I was down in Bakersfield for a couple months on a work assignment and found this gem. It's fast food but not in your traditional sense. It's fast healthy food to be exact. It's not stuff that deep fried and slathered in calorie rich sauces. I ate several of the items on the menu in the time I was there since it was a nice healthy start to my day and was right on the way to my work. They offer wraps, bowls a couple of plates smoothies and smaller bites for those of you looking for something that's not gonna make you feel guilty about grabbing after you just mashed out a nice gym session. For those of you that are calorie counters and need to know the exact nutritional content might frown at this place due to them being a small business and not being able to afford the cost of getting everything analyzed properly. But they're very upfront about what they're using and how it's prepared and you can taste the healthier vibe of their food compared to a traditional fast food joint. Even things that contain sauces are not drenched, they put just enough to give a pop of flavor and not have sauce gushing out with every bite. I found the prices to be fairly reasonable as well. I can easily spend 10-15 dollars at any of the fast food places I have visited and I averaged about 16 bucks per visit here because I usually got a smoothie to go with the wrap or bowl that I got. If I ever end up back down in Bakersfield I'll gladly be making another few trips to this place. I hope we can get something with a similar offering in my town! read more

This place is ridiculous!. They're suppose to close at 8 pm, I went through the drive-thru and no one answered. I went around the drive thru to the window and honked - still no answer. I go park the car and try to open the door. It's freakin LOCKED at 7ish. If you're not going to be open until 8 pm, how about changing your business hours. Strawberry banana smoothie. The rosemary garlic chicken was not hot. The brown rice and green beans were overcooked. Everything was like warm to room temperature. The rosemary overpowered the dish. The herb did not get chopped up, just thrown in. It got stuck in my teeth and just was slightly bitter as well. The brown rice clumped together and the grains had split open from being overcooked. The green beans had that distinct frozen or canned texture. Or it could have been that they were completely overcooked. Had that putrid green color, they weren't bright green. While I have been to Fit Pantry in the past , I was disappointed with the drive thru service. First of all the drive through is dark so reading the menu is hard! Especially if you wear glasses like myself ! When I mentioned not Bri g able to read the menu the young lady working the window explained it was not her fault the light was broken and there was nothing she could do about it ! But this morning as I was getting my daily detox smoothie I saw something that made me take the time out of my day to write them a review. There was a couple having breakfast and it appeared that the lady wasn't a big fan of her meal. So the gentleman went up and spoke to the ladies at the counter and right away they recommended another menu item and offered to make it for the couple no questions asked. I have been a fit pantry customer since they opened. In the last few years, I eat here almost weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. I really like being able to get healthy, convenient food. So much so, that I have ignored the smaller/inconsistent portions and higher prices. Tonight, the staff was flippant, rude, and dismissive. They acted annoyed that I was there. This isn't the first time I've felt uncomfortable being there, but I've ignored it because I like the food options. Their staff seems to have a "WE are always right" attitude instead of kindly serving their customers. I don't need to deal with attitude for my incredibly cold, overpriced food anymore. So I decided to try their breakfast and got the sunrise wrap which has sweet potatoes, kale, egg whites and what I'm assuming are pine nuts? Some kind of nuts! There was so much to choose from so I opted in the chicken tacos combo with rice and black beans with an immunity juice. I have been to the fit pantry numerous times now. Unfortunately, my boyfriend was not a fan of the options much and for the price point you don't get very much food. That is why I usually come by myself and I'm not visiting this spot as often as I do other joints in town. I usually get the Baja wrap. It's really delicious! The thing I love about this place and their food is that everything is so fresh and they have a drive thru. They're also offering options that not a ton of Bakersfield spots have, especially when it comes to drink selection. Teas, boxed waters, zevia sodas....I've seen them all here and sprouts and that's about it. It's nice not to be tempted by real soda. The only downside for me is I really hate brown rice and that appears to be the rice of choice here. It's flavorless and the texture is funky, in my opinion. Even though I do like this place, I do feel like the pricing is a little high for how much food is given and that is why I don't come back as often as I would like. So, I like for pantry. It is very good food and everything like that. Very quality and craft oriented. The people running the place are nice but don't try to connect in the way older places do. Don't get me wrong, they are great, but I think they are more young person oriented. That's probably why they are so good at what they do and have such a young crowd. Like I said, great place.
