I spent the afternoon working on a project and felt like a burger. This Friday King is near my house and I gave it a try. There is a small sit-down side and a drive-thru. I ordered the avocado burger, no onions, and a medium fries. The combo comes with a soda. I simply wanted water. If I had been thinking, I could have done that. Instead I paid for everything separately, which cost me a few bucks more. You would think the server could have helped, but you can't count on it. Anyway not that big of a deal. They charge 50¢ for water. They use Harris Ranch meats. The burger was tasty. The avocado flavorful. Kringle kut fries. The fries were probably the most disappointing. The burger made up for most of it. If you're in the mood for a good burger and in the S. Chester area, give Frosty King a shot. read more

The inside had been recently remodeled and looked nice. The staff seemed a little new and overwhelmed and some of the tables were just sitting dirty. The bathroom was unisex and honestly disgusting. But the food was very good. The price was reasonable and the staff was nice. The area was extremely sketchy and we watched our car while eating. Delicious burgers and good customer service, this place a definitely a spot people sleep on. The food is fresh and made to order and with the prices of fast food nowadays this place is still reasonable. In my opinion it's a few notches up from the national fast food chains and way better. The menu has a bit of everything and also ask or look for the specials they have going on. Frosty king is doing it right I hadn't been there in years but I just so happen to be in the area and I decided to stop in and have dinner, and it was still bomb after all these years. There is plenty of seating inside and it's well maintained and modern. I think my favorite thing in the dining room was the Bakersfield sign it's pretty cool. Dropped in to try a frosty soft serve cone. It's only a $1.99, vanilla or chocolate, half and half or an extra $0.50 gets you. It dipped in chocolate. This has got to be one of the larger if not largest soft serve cone I've had in this past decade! The taste and consistency, texture is just a bit buttery, which is fabulous. Doesn't feel watery or light. It's just delicious! What a discovery Time of day is 2:41, and I'm not looking for lunch. However, glancing over the menu shows a lot of things I might want to try. Only problem is I'm only in Bakersfield maybe once a month, or once every 2 months? So next time I stop by maybe I'll try something different. Thier sit down lobby is nice, clean and air conditioned... Clean and comfortable. Surprisingly good. I give it normally a three and a half star, but I can only choose three or four... Stopped by here Sunday with my wife when we had a milkshake craving. Saw the reviews were pretty good and it was nearby so we decided to try it out. I went for a cherry shake and she had banana. Girl at the front was friendly and the shakes came out quickly. They were very tasty, good burst of flavor in both it was easy to tell what you were drinking. Decent price for the size, no complaints. They have a large menu with some interesting things including deep fried avocado, we might go back to try the food one day but the shakes are great. read more

This might be my new favorite burger from a locally owned fast food restaurant. Everything is fresh especially the beef, I toasted bun is amazing and I like to add grilled onions. I have been here in the past and it wasn't very memorable things changed recently it is amazing! read more

I absolutely love this place. We go just for the "happy hour" 3pm-9pm. 89cent corn dogs fried burritos $1.99 hamburgers and 89 cent any size drink & they have crushed ice!!!! I love mini fried shrimp along with curly fries!! Not forget to mention how great is fried mushroom which is my favorite side food!!! I think it's so excellent but too big for my stomach even my metabolism is high lol! Their ranch sauce is one kind of itself and surpass other ranches!!!! Their service is wonderful! This is my family's guilty pleasure. When we want something quick & affordable but that's not necessarily "fast-food" this is where we end up going, mostly through the drive-thru. My kids order the Oreo shake & I love the chocolate, both are thick & decadent but not too heavy. We also love the fried burritos that are fried to golden crisp perfection & remind me of the fair but way cheaper, the corn dogs & hamburgers are also off the hook. Good little restaurant to grab something to eat, I tried their pastrami with Swiss cheese it was good. I have tried other "best pastrami in town" restaurants and there are not as good as this frosty kings. From their French fries and burgers to their dinners ( my favorite chicken dinner) everything tastes fresh. One of they, BEST burgers I've had. The burger itself was juicy and the bread was fluffy just coming out of the oven. The meat was tender and flavorful. I've been eating at Frosty King restaurants for years, but never this location. Much cleaner and updated than the others, with a different owner. Had the Western & curly fries. Great burger and a huge portion of fries. The staff is friendly, the place is very clean, will be back when I'm on that side of town. read more
