Then finally charging me for one of the extra sauce which I'll will pay but that tells me you didn't listen in the speaker in the drive through, at the window, when I paid, then I was asked if I want any sauces and didn't listen again, and then again when I checked the bag and I'm waiting at the window to open it again so I can ask again. Some of my friends told me that I need to try this place. Finally got the opportunity to do just that recently. It's hard to miss this place because they shine very brightly like an Orange sun!! Their building is bright orange, and they truly stand out. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon about 2:30pm, and the place was hopping with business! Frosty Fast N' Fresh is quite popular. Lots of folks dining inside, taking out, and using the drive-thru. It's roomy inside with a good number of tables to dine at. Interior was clean and orange. Service was good. Their menu is diverse. So many options to choose from. I decided to try their San Joaquin Burger which is a Pastrami Burger. Paid $4.99 extra for combo which included a large Fries and large drink. I was not disappointed. We usually visit the Frosty King on Rosedale Hwy, but we heard that this location is a different "chain" without affiliation, and noticed their food looked incredibly fresh on their (deliciously active) Instagram. Worth the few extra miles! Everything is fresh and delicious. I like my food especially salty so I did add a little here and there. I hope next time it is saltier (insert evil smiley and/or maniacal laugh here) The King Burger is THEE BOMB! I don't need to bother trying another burger from this place. The ice cream was so incredibly thick and creamy. The butter pecan flavor was divine. Their ranch on the side passes every test - not too thick with Mayo, fresh, coats the fry, with maybe a couple drips. You get it. May I also add that they were incredibly fast? Their Philly cheese-steak is good! super fat sandwich, Juicy meat, lots of cheese, and slightly crispy veggies, Enjoyed it very much! (only thing is the bread it comes in is not intact, like it's split completely down the middle into two pieces, so it's hard to eat considering its a pretty stuffed sandwich and everything just kind of falls out every time you pick it up... SO I had to wrap it with foil and peel it back as I ate it to keep all the fillings from falling out, but it was still reallllly good!) The Fri's were hot and season perfectly. Then I asked for a curtousy water and was told they were out of those cups but for additional money they would sell me water. Four star burgers and fries, 1 star staff. We were hungry and driving by and figured we would give this place a try for late-ish lunch. Burgers are very much like In&Out as far as number of patties, cheese, and basic condiments lettuce and tomato, but with lots of other options if you like. I got a #2, 2 patties, 2 slices of cheese, lettuce tomatoes, pickles and condiments. Actually a very tasty fresh and hot burger. French fries were classic crinkle cut, season with a seasoned salt of some type, and they were perfection, hot, crispy, and the best fries I have had in quite a while. They offer lots of burger, pastrami, and hotdog option, shakes, ice cream and smoothies too. 2 corn dogs for $2, better than the $4 per corn dog at my home town burger place. The inside of the restaurant is surprisingly nicely remodeled and very clean except for the part maybe they haven't got to near the back and restrooms. But food and facilities overall found nice for a neighborhood burger joint. They have a free item or burger topping for burger combos every day of the week, on Friday it is free onion rings with the order 'if you ask' we did, it was acknowledged that it was added to the order, but guess what, no onion rings in the bag. I love onion rings and would have ordered differently if I knew I wasn't going to get them free or not, as I would have just ordered a burger without the combo and a order of onion rings. Missing items in the to-go bag is always a pet peeve of mine and I'm harsh on reviews for it. That and not taking Covid precautions seriously.... All about supporting local businesses especially restaurants during Covid, but go elsewhere next time I'm in town. If we weren't so hungry would have gone somewhere else. But unfortunately there was a down side. I wish Covid wasn't starting to rage again but it is, and many of us are at high risk of a bad outcome if catch it, so was not pleased at all that the counter staff inside was not wearing mask, and less impressed that the girl showed some serious attitude about the customer wearing a mask. This was our favorite consistent spot for burgers and ice cream cream. We went tonight and we're excited there was no line. The food was quick, and warm; however, our order was wrong. We ordered a banana split; they left off our order. We asked for no onions on our burger; which was covered in onions. The spicy chicken burger was dry, and had practically no mayonnaise. The fries had no seasoning. We were looking forward to those criss cut fries with seasoning salt and were greatly disappointed. The staff was polite. The food was quick, but 45 dollars for sub par food is just not worth it and we won't be going back. Even when we told them our order was wrong.. we were asked if we wanted to buy more stuff. We finally just left. I know times are hard, things are more expensive, but cutting corners like this does not go unnoticed. read more

TLDR: ice cream was good, if you eat here expecting Michelin star food, you will be disappointed. Go with no expectations and you might enjoy. Fries and burgers probably best when consumed fresh. I think if you go with the expectations of not expecting anything. It's a fairly enjoyable place. I'm always hesitant about eating at older style/small chain burger shops like this.(golden ox is a good example) I had a craving for something cold and sweet, and the ice cream was really rich and creamy. I think the waffle cone was good enough to justify the price, so it was definitely worth it just for the ice cream. I've read the fries were bad, but mine were incredibly fresh and seasoned perfectly. I ended up eating all of them before I left the parking lot(hard to eat while driving). Now for the burger! A good pastrami burger is pretty hard to come by, and I've been spoiled by some pretty delicious ones in the past. On a personal scale of 1-10, this pastrami burger fell at like a 6.5 and in a rating of overall burger maybe a 5? I ate half of the burger in the parking lot and it was really juicy and tasteful, but after taking the rest home(15 minute drive) the bun had been seeped by the juices. I think this has more to do with just how the pastrami works, nevertheless you should probably eat the pastrami burger as it's made, because that's when it's the best. I had no expectations and only a want for the ice cream but left relatively satisfied. Unfortunately I'm just a guest in the area, so I can't speak for the entirety of their menu, but I'd definitely give this place a shot if you've always been hesitant. We went through the drive-through and ordered a cone and a medium peanut butter shake with extra peanut butter. We were having trouble hearing the person on the loudspeaker and I think we were probably annoying to her because of it. No problem...until I took a sip of my shake. I feel pretty safe in guessing that the probably a ratio of 50% peanut butter to 50% ice cream. It wasn't even really cold because there was very little ice cream in it. It seemed like a shitty move by the employee at the drive-through window. And we even gave her a tip for putting up with us. I don't need the shake. Quality of the food is good at this location, but they have undergone some changes recently. The prices are not the same on the menu as what they ring up in the store. The same is true of the drive-through. They charge for ice water, and for ice water refills. Some of their prices have gone up quite a bit, for example a small ice cream cone used to be $.93, but is now $1.69 for the same amount of ice cream. Attitude of some of the staff is questionable, but the manager is fairly good if you can talk to him. Don't ask for crispy bacon on anything, they do not know how to make it that way. read more
