The Bronx House solves that problem for me. I am a big fan of the variety of fitness class offerings and indoor cycling is the most popular (the class fills up right after the previous ab class). Cherelle, who leads this class on Tuesdays, is a great trainer and puts the hurt locker on while making exercise on a stationary bike "fun". The pool is 25 yards and way shorter than an olympic size pool (50 meters). Size matters, eh? During lap swim hours, the pool is divided into two lanes: slow and slower. For those who need a good workout, be prepared to swim around your neighbors. During the summer, test your patience with all of the visitors with day passes. The gym and pool hours are limited and designated for classes and gender/age groups. If the location works for you and you can accept the limited schedules, join the Bronx House. The gym, with the TRX equipment alone is superior to most of the $20 gyms in the area. Make sure to review the calendar for holiday and maintenance closings. Staff does not get paid overtime, the whole summer we've been understaffed. Bronx House camp & building has received multiple of violations & still nothing has changed. The pink staff supervisors are beyond unprofessional, dress codes being broken yet regular staff were the only ones to get a write up for it. The way in which Lead Supervisors would go about talking to their staff gave parent instead of supervisor. Bronx house is not it. The disorganization when it came to trainings, daily schedules, even down to the trips. The higher staff aka the Pink shirts are very messy. All staff are but when leads were here it gave high school. There was supposed to be breaks 45- an hour for all staff shortage or not away from children & we have not gotten that YET. A class action lawsuit will be filed.

I also witness Chucky getting smacked in the butt by one of the kids as he left from taking pictures to head out to the party area whilst being forcefully pulled by the arm by like a 9 year old. I researched renting from a few other places, but I really appreciated how responsive Ashley was to my emails and questions. Giggle adventures really delivered for me. Great time here at the Rock Club…read more Purchased a Groupon and decided to visit on a Friday morning. Called ahead and the front desk staff were very quick in getting back to me to confirm that a belayer was available at that time. They also confirmed the Groupon over the phone. I went ahead and completed the required waiver forms online prior to our visit. Adequate parking was available at that time. The Rock Club (downstairs) shares its space with a with a tennis club, so make sure you follow the ramp down toward the Rock Club entrance and NOT the stairs whih leads to the tennis club. We arrived at around 10am and it was fairly empty. The Rock Club staff explained the process and set us up with climbing shoes. We were then introduced to our belayer who was awesome. Over the next hour, we tried climbs ranging in difficulty. The wall heights range from about 35-40 feet and the peg placement and wall angles vary throughout the climbs, making some more difficult than others. We even had some time to try some bouldering. Our belayer was great at explaining techniques and technical terms. She was very patient and very encouraging...though not "pushy" at all. After we finished, the staff was nice enough to show us around to see what else was available at the facility: childrens area, common areas, training rooms and weight rooms. May go without saying...wear comfy clothes. As a regular gym-goer, but someone who has NOT climbed before, this was a welcomed challenge. Certain muscles, particularly the forearms and core, may not be part of the typical gym regimen...but are very important in climbing...that being said, I was definitely feeling it the next day. Overall we had a great experience at the Rock Club. We will deinifitely look into other classes. Kudos to all the staff members there.

I found the small room in the back a little sad, perhaps because there were no windows, and some of the toys seemed a little more worn. But it was clean and well organized.
